I just love this place… It wouldn’t be too much if we were there three or four times a week. It is always good to see you Ivano!!
Petrarca has the exceptional quality of being a favorite neighborhood lunch spot, where locals consistently go for delicious versions of classic pasta dishes, as well as a special occasion place, where the inventive special dishes of the day and the warm, friendly and attentive staff make the occasion perfect.
We live in the neighborhood but hadn't been back because of the pandemic restrictions but that's where my husband chose for his birthday lunch with our family, which includes our first grandchild—not even a month old! We were a bit nervous, but everyone made us feel comfortable -- the other people dining were great too -- and they seated us in the coziest spot -- in a corner, near the window.
We found Petrarca as welcoming as ever -- the food and wine, still exceptional, from the arugula salad, burrata appetizer, mushroom soup, the new offering carrot and ginger soup so fresh and delicious. We loved our entrees, especially our favorite —Pappardelle Petrarcha and Chicken Marsala. For dessert, the winner? Coffee creme brulee.
Thank you to the wonderful owners and for making it through a challenging time in our country and neighborhood's history -- we will be back soon!
Food was delicious, outdoor seating was comfortable and on a great corner in Tribeca. Pizzas and pastas were good portions and delicious. Service was wonderful.
Always a great dinner with excellent service. Have loved coming here for years.
Great food with excellent service! I loved the truffle dishes. It hits the spot every time.
We had a fabulous meal and a wonderful way to emerge from the pandemic after eating at home for all these months. Wonderful food, the mushroom soup and the white truffled risotto were standouts.
A lovely place, fantastic food, and a homey atmosphere all create an excellent experience.
Love it and only gets better. Its a favorite with our family and friends. Very gracious owners and great wine list. Food is always excellent.
Petrarca is a great restaurant in the heart of Tribeca. We love the casual atmosphere and neighborly feeling. It is family run - ask for Evano.
Great family restaurant in the middle of Tribeca where comfort and food come together.
Quality food, good wine list, informal and nice quiet atmosphere. Friendly wait staff. We enjoyed it - thank you.
Consistently perfect food served so well. One of our neighborhood gems.
Petrarca had amazing food and service. Their specials were great and we had a very pleasant experience. It is family owned and operated and I will definitely be going back!
Went for dessert and drinks and had a great tome! Delicious food and very friendly staff
we appreciated the separation of tables (distance between patrons) and the great service. we had the best seat in the house, right in the corner window. just a great family owned/operated italian place. love it
The only points I take away are for value for $$. Otherwise the place is super clean and socially distant inside with hand wipes and temp checks and mask mandate. They do have outdoor eating but we were there on a rainy day and there was only one other table occupied. The decor is beautiful with large wine bottles and oranges displayed on the walls. The service impeccable and food is yummy. I had the mushroom soup and my friend had the salmon. Delectable. But but. It was so so expensive 🙀. Not quite sure what category to place this restaurant in. Fine dining is the only way to describe the menu prices. Yet in this pandemic - it kinda loses any significance. So you’re left with casual dining with sky high prices. So if $$ isn’t an issue for you, the food is amazing. Note they no longer serve “lunch” menu. Only dinner menu at all times. That’s a pity bc that was a little more reasonably priced.
excellent local spot.
we would def return.
good hearty food.
This is our favorite restaurant in NYC. It's family-run with great service. The food is always amazing, and they have a nice, well-curated wine list.
Authentic Italian. Small but very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and very affordable.
The food was delicious! The preparation was extraordinary paying attention to the details. Thank you!
Not sure why we waited so long to eat here. Everything was amazing. Perfect bake on the bread and pizza, artichoke and zucchini appetizers were flawless, pasta was flavorful and al dente. Even dessert was well executed.
The food here is always fresh and deliciously prepared. The servers and very good and food and wine savvy. Love the room and overall welcoming atmosphere.
Fabulous food. Most dishes really quite exceptional - but especially the pasta. Beautiful range of starters too!
Growing up in an Italian household makes me regret going to most Italian restaurants. They usually fall well short. Happily, that is not the case with Petrarca Cucina e Vino in TriBeCa NYC. The food was fantastic! The pasta is perfectly cooked and the Orecchiette with broccoli and sausage should not be missed. The staff and the owner are very friendly and inviting. This place is truly a gem in NYC. Petrarca has become my "go to" place for outstanding Italian food in NYC. I highly recommend it!!!
I think they can work a bit on the outdoor seating situation now that it's going to be long term. They can do better with design.
Food was really good. We had calamari and parmigiana as appetizer. Both great: squids were very soft and lightly fried, parmigiana was faithful to its original recipe.
As main course we had carbonara spaghetti and orecchiette with broccoli and sausage. The latter was close to perfection, on the carbonara I would recommend to put less onion because it risks covering the taste of guanciale. Egg was perfectly mixed, though, which is hard.
Service was caring and very appreciated.
Overall I recommend the place as there is a genuine Italian touch, service is good. When you could dine inside ambience was cool too, I think they can do better on the outdoors.
Petrarca is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in TriBeCa. Fresh pastas and great wine list. I pray it will be able to stay open throughout this pandemic.
The food was excellent and so was the service. This place is run by nice people who do everything well.
Always good food and good service, lively atmostphere
Always one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. Petrarch did not disappoint.
I was very disappointed. I expected more. The appetizers were fine (cheese plate , calamari, etc). My main was incredibly average and I barely finished it. The wine was warm, but the quality was good.
Thank you for giving our restaurant a try. If anything is not to your liking let us know or ask for the manager so we can accommodate you and fix any issues. We hope you give us another try.
Food and service never disappoint. Always enjoyable
This is one of our favorite restaurants in all of nyc. The food is delicious and the father and sons who run it are exemplary, kind and funny.
Delicious meal and wonderful hosts! Thank you for another delicious birthday dinner at Petrarca!
Food was great aside from the salmon with balsamic (it was very fishy and the balsamic was a little burnt).
went to Petrarca before an art show and the restaurant has a great ambiance.
the service is very good and the food preparation was excellent. try the tomato soup....
pizza very good and the wine selection of course is its signature.
We come here quite often and are never disappointed.
Unfortunately this time they didn’t even have a lot of things in the menu available, usually the salmon is wonderful but this time it was not fresh and it would be nice if they explain the octopus salad is actually a potato salad.
It is a shame as this was one of our favorite restaurants.
Wonderful neighborhood spot for every day or a special occasion. Lovely guys and great wine list
Great family owned place, convenient to shops in Tribaca and Soho. Highly recommend.
