we appreciated the separation of tables (distance between patrons) and the great service. we had the best seat in the house, right in the corner window. just a great family owned/operated italian place. love it
excellent local spot.
we would def return.
good hearty food.
This is our favorite restaurant in NYC. It's family-run with great service. The food is always amazing, and they have a nice, well-curated wine list.
Authentic Italian. Small but very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and very affordable.
The food was delicious! The preparation was extraordinary paying attention to the details. Thank you!
Not sure why we waited so long to eat here. Everything was amazing. Perfect bake on the bread and pizza, artichoke and zucchini appetizers were flawless, pasta was flavorful and al dente. Even dessert was well executed.
The food here is always fresh and deliciously prepared. The servers and very good and food and wine savvy. Love the room and overall welcoming atmosphere.
Fabulous food. Most dishes really quite exceptional - but especially the pasta. Beautiful range of starters too!
Growing up in an Italian household makes me regret going to most Italian restaurants. They usually fall well short. Happily, that is not the case with Petrarca Cucina e Vino in TriBeCa NYC. The food was fantastic! The pasta is perfectly cooked and the Orecchiette with broccoli and sausage should not be missed. The staff and the owner are very friendly and inviting. This place is truly a gem in NYC. Petrarca has become my "go to" place for outstanding Italian food in NYC. I highly recommend it!!!
I think they can work a bit on the outdoor seating situation now that it's going to be long term. They can do better with design.
Food was really good. We had calamari and parmigiana as appetizer. Both great: squids were very soft and lightly fried, parmigiana was faithful to its original recipe.
As main course we had carbonara spaghetti and orecchiette with broccoli and sausage. The latter was close to perfection, on the carbonara I would recommend to put less onion because it risks covering the taste of guanciale. Egg was perfectly mixed, though, which is hard.
Service was caring and very appreciated.
Overall I recommend the place as there is a genuine Italian touch, service is good. When you could dine inside ambience was cool too, I think they can do better on the outdoors.
Petrarca is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in TriBeCa. Fresh pastas and great wine list. I pray it will be able to stay open throughout this pandemic.
The food was excellent and so was the service. This place is run by nice people who do everything well.
Always good food and good service, lively atmostphere
Always one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. Petrarch did not disappoint.
I was very disappointed. I expected more. The appetizers were fine (cheese plate , calamari, etc). My main was incredibly average and I barely finished it. The wine was warm, but the quality was good.
Thank you for giving our restaurant a try. If anything is not to your liking let us know or ask for the manager so we can accommodate you and fix any issues. We hope you give us another try.
Food and service never disappoint. Always enjoyable
This is one of our favorite restaurants in all of nyc. The food is delicious and the father and sons who run it are exemplary, kind and funny.
Delicious meal and wonderful hosts! Thank you for another delicious birthday dinner at Petrarca!
Food was great aside from the salmon with balsamic (it was very fishy and the balsamic was a little burnt).
went to Petrarca before an art show and the restaurant has a great ambiance.
the service is very good and the food preparation was excellent. try the tomato soup....
pizza very good and the wine selection of course is its signature.
We come here quite often and are never disappointed.
Unfortunately this time they didn’t even have a lot of things in the menu available, usually the salmon is wonderful but this time it was not fresh and it would be nice if they explain the octopus salad is actually a potato salad.
It is a shame as this was one of our favorite restaurants.
Wonderful neighborhood spot for every day or a special occasion. Lovely guys and great wine list
Great family owned place, convenient to shops in Tribaca and Soho. Highly recommend.
Great bread and outstanding service - family owned and delicious - very authentic Italian
Waiters are attentive but still get things mixed up. 3 of our4 dishes (all meaty) were just fine. The spaghetti with minced turkey balls in tomato sauce had no taste at all. Given the prices should do able to do far better.
Always delicious.
Great experience! Best bread ever. Service was fabulous!
We’ve chosen this restaurant for Christmas dinner. The personnel was great, food is delicious. Grate family restaurant!
Wonderful food and service! It’s the best in TriBeCa.
Love this restaurant!
Ideal place for a quiet, relaxed, well cooked meal with great service.
What a great dining experience. The service, food, and wines were excellent. The space is charming as well as the staff. I highly recommend checking this TriBeCa gem out next time you have a date or a family / friend dinner planned!
We stumbled on this gem last year while in the city for our biggest client conference. Needless to say we returned and had a great experience once again! All 13 of us loved our meals...and the wine. Leo and his team do a great job!
Wonderful family run restaurant that had a warm welcome. Food was excellent with a great wine list.
Petrarca is an old favorite, and so it was clearly the natural spot to celebrate our anniversary. The staff, from the manager to the servers, were (as always) incredibly friendly and helpful — and the food was as outstanding as ever. I’m very partial to their fettuccine with the lamb ragu (a frequent entry on their specials), and the stuffed chicken was apparently fantastic also. The quality of the wine (a Grüner and a Primativo, in our case) is alone worth the trip. is This remains not just a neighborhood gem, but a city-wide gem.
Consistently great
Food is good as always, but service a little slower than normal
Always consistently fabulous food. As close to authentic Italian as you can get without being in Italy!!!
Lovely restaurant with great italian food in a warm and stylish atmosphere. Enjoyed a wonderful meal with friends from out of town, the service was friendly and attentive while we never felt rushed at all. A true gem in this part of town.
