Petrarca Cucina e Vino
Food was tasty, service was great, location and ambience was perfect!
Son’s wedding dinner
Best Italian we could have chosen. Everything about the place was miraculous and we feel so lucky to have chosen them to spend our anniversary!
Been there many times. Always a great experience. Get the mushroom soup!
Went there for lunch for my husband’s birthday. Overall, an underwhelming experience as the food was mediocre but high prices. Service was good but prices and ambience sitting outside do not justify the price and overrated reviews.
After finishing our appetizers, the empty plates remained on our table for 45 minutes. Waiters and busboys passed the table repeatedly without clearing the plates or offering an explanation as to why the main course was delayed for so long. I flagged a waiter, and he offered they were very busy and the kitchen was backed up. Yet, the tables around us who came in after we did had already received and finished their main courses. When my pasta finally came, a busboy came by and offered cheese. When I accepted, he tossed a spoonful on my food and ran off without asking me if I wanted a second (which I did). I have been a regular customer to this restaurant and have bragged about their food and comfortable ambience. After last night's experience and seeming indifference by the staff, I can no longer recommend this restaurant in good conscience.
My favorite Italian in NYC?
Cant fathom the reviews, too many other options to settle on OK food, and an unfriendly management staff (waiter was fine)…
Love this place. The staff (mainly family) are so friendly and the food is delicious. It’s the best salmon I’ve ever had.
I went there for a family gathering and sat outside. It was a lovely evening and everyone enjoyed their meals--the food was delicious.
Great spot for delicious food in quaint ambiance.
We enjoyed everything about it. Family operated. Engaging. Fun. Great good.
Petrarca is a perfect Manhattan neighborhood Italian spot. For TriBeCa energy, this is a great find.
Excellent food! Friendly, professional service
The food was excellent! Delish
Loved it! I ordered the octopus appetizer as entree and it was generously portioned and DELICIOUS!! The service was fantastic and very friendly. Highly recommend.
Food was good, service was excellent.
Loved it, food, service, drinks!
Amazing as always, thank you for the great food, delicious wine and ambiance
Very good all around; the only drawback was that the entrees took much longer to come out after the appetizers. I felt rushed into eating quickly so I would not be as late getting back to work
Perfection! Excellent food and wonderful, attentive staff. Thank you. Will visit again.
Food, service and ambiance are always amazing, Petrarca never disappoints
Always a great time at Petrarca! From the service, to the food, to the ambiance..impeccable! Our usual server, Manuel P is always so attentive and wonderful, making our dining experience all the more pleasurable :)
Celebrated My Mom's 87 Birthday in Style w/ Great Drinks, Food )...
Excellent and authentic Italian food. Wonderful neighborhood restaurant. A gem. Wait staff is very experienced and helpful. Sat outside last night and usually quiet but street noise was terrible because of a gas leak down the street. Many police and fire trucks.
The food is always amazing at Petrarca. Service is always did at this family owned restaurant. Good wine list and always energetic atmosphere.
Always lovely :) Kind servers and amazing food. The cocktails and wine are also excellent.
Food was horrible. Soggy muscles, overcooked shrimp and calamari, tasteless sauce..
Went there for lunch so it was quiet. I am not sure about the sound level of the restaurant when it is bustling. Having said that, this is one of the best restaurants. The food is remarkably good. I went with five friends and tasted everyone's dish and appetizer (ok, don't iinvite me to your meal) and every dish was better than the next.
The service is professional and personal. The owners Leo and his son Ivano are warm and friendly.
The restaurant is casual.
This may be the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten. No kidding. We ate pizzas, mussels and Buffalo mozzarella/prosciutto appetizer. All great; pizzas outstanding. Next came the main courses. I made sure to have pasta as it is fresh and homemade and delicious!!. Everyone was very pleased with: Chicken Parm; chicken Marsala; whole grilled branzino; spaghetti with turkey(!) meatballs; gnocchi. The food was amazing as was the company which made for a really special get together. Also, service was attentive without being intrusive.
Eating at Petrarca is like eating in Italy. Very authentic experience.
Food is consistently excellent and authentic
I just love this place… It wouldn’t be too much if we were there three or four times a week. It is always good to see you Ivano!!
Petrarca has the exceptional quality of being a favorite neighborhood lunch spot, where locals consistently go for delicious versions of classic pasta dishes, as well as a special occasion place, where the inventive special dishes of the day and the warm, friendly and attentive staff make the occasion perfect.
We live in the neighborhood but hadn't been back because of the pandemic restrictions but that's where my husband chose for his birthday lunch with our family, which includes our first grandchild—not even a month old! We were a bit nervous, but everyone made us feel comfortable -- the other people dining were great too -- and they seated us in the coziest spot -- in a corner, near the window.
We found Petrarca as welcoming as ever -- the food and wine, still exceptional, from the arugula salad, burrata appetizer, mushroom soup, the new offering carrot and ginger soup so fresh and delicious. We loved our entrees, especially our favorite —Pappardelle Petrarcha and Chicken Marsala. For dessert, the winner? Coffee creme brulee.
Thank you to the wonderful owners and for making it through a challenging time in our country and neighborhood's history -- we will be back soon!
Food was delicious, outdoor seating was comfortable and on a great corner in Tribeca. Pizzas and pastas were good portions and delicious. Service was wonderful.
Always a great dinner with excellent service. Have loved coming here for years.
Great food with excellent service! I loved the truffle dishes. It hits the spot every time.
We had a fabulous meal and a wonderful way to emerge from the pandemic after eating at home for all these months. Wonderful food, the mushroom soup and the white truffled risotto were standouts.
A lovely place, fantastic food, and a homey atmosphere all create an excellent experience.
