Great food and service , but it's too small you feel cramped and noise level high
True French Bistro. Always great food and superb service. Never fails. Our favorite Restaurant in town.
Out with good friends. Delicious!!! Thoroughly enjoyed everything.
It is a really excellent restaurant. Don't shy away because of appearances - everything here is great - from bread to onion soup to all there steaks including steak tartare. Don't forget the profiteroles
This restaurant was recommended to us when we were dining in a high end restaurant in Miami. When we got there the front window was boarded on two sides, and it looked as if it had been so for some time. The inside was dated and a bit 'grubby'. The wine was great; the mussels were fantastic but when it came to the entree it was a disaster. My husband order the special of veal chop, which was pretty boring, but when the check came it was also $58! Twice the price of any other entree. We had not been told how much it was when the specials were told to us. I had the liver, which said sautéed. It was covered in a soggy sort of coating, and the underside was burnt. You could not taste the liver. We had three very small glasses of wine, shared an appetiser and main and the check came to $128. No we will not go back and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Always a great experience - onion soup, trout, steak tartare, salmon, filet mignon and profiteroles!! Go if you can
Great service and delicious food!!!
We visit this place every time we are in Miami. If you like French cousin, you must visit this restaurant!!!
Was looking for / had heard of a bistro experience and found a pretty exciting french menu trying to satisfy typical american appetite. Way too large plates and portions lost the quality of the chef efforts. Also, you cannot “not have” a Beaujolais on a french bistro which is on the wine list. Highlight of the night was i) our server Carlos Gorn who was attentive and sharp, and ii) the profiteroles dessert which was also huge but lights-out good.
Best French in town. David provides an amazing service!! Actually both do. Best stake tartare in town and beyond
Fantástic. But most special of all was the service: WOW!
Always great food and service. .
Exceptional cuisine.
An amazing resturant. One of our favorites!
Great food. Very attentive staff.
Best Caesar salad I've had in ages.
Salmon and trout dinners were excellent.
Felt like I was in a bistro in France.
Food is amazing. Had the lamp chops, mussels, salad with goat cheese and trout. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent
Petite Rouge never disappoints!
Consistent classic French cuisine with additional wonderful daily specials. Always delicious!
Great food as always.
Petit Rouge is a reliable good restaurant, offering good French bistro food and service. Because it is small the noise level tends to be higher than you need for an enjoyable meal... Nevertheless, it is worth visiting it again and again !
This is probably our 10th time at Petit Rouge, which we love for its genuine French menu and its wonderful service. It's tucked in between a Chabad center and urologist's office, which makes it such a delightful misfit along Biscayne. I saw somewhere that PR isn't "child friendly", which might be true if you've got a couple of active kids or fussy eaters, but our five-year-old is always remembered by name, gets treated like a genuine customer (which he is, after all) and he loves chatting in French with them, which is a delight to see. The food is bistro/brasserie staples, expertly done, with very adroit picks for daily specials, and it's always full, which speaks volumes.
First time, good stuff. Not French all the way as you can get other dishes. Not fancy, not big, but good food. We will be back.
The mostly French main menu is very good and the daily specials are always interesting. I had one of the best bolognese ever as a special. It's my "go to" spot and I miss Neal, David and Carlos when I'm away for the summer. This is clearly the work of an owner/chef and staff who like what they do.
Great food in an unlikely place
We had a delicious dinner once again. Our server was definitely off the mark but the food was great.
Belle découverte lors d'un séjour en Floride ! Excellente nourriture et excellent service ! Seul bémol : local très écho.
Service impeccable, propreté et nourriture délicieuse!
Great food and service. The riz de veau was exceptional and so was the trout.
Outstanding. Large, not typical French portions. 1 of best in the area
Everything here was perfect. Great waiter, delicious food. The outside is newly renovated but the inside is its old wonderful place. Can't wait to go back.
Will be happy to go back every time we are in town.
This is a wonderful French bistro dinner, best in Miami.
The food was great. The noise level, however, was too high. It was impossible to hear anything.
The food and service were excellent. A little expensive. However, the tables were so close and the acoustics not good, had to practically shout to be heard. Not pleasant if you want to have a conversation.
we love their pate, fresh fish , wine and service
we have been dining there for years, same chef owner, sane servers
This local bistro is always delightful. The food is excellent and always freshly prepared. The wine list has a good selection by the glass and by the bottle. The wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. All together a consistently pleasant dining experience.
a special restaurant with good food and attentive service
Excellent as always. A great neighborhood gem with delicious food.
It's always good food, good service at good prices!
The waiting time was awful eventhou we had reservation by open table we had to wait for 40 min and nobody even apologyze.
We woul no go again, better zoo
We were greeted very graciously. Our waiter could not have been better. The food we ordered was far beyond our expectations. The sweet breads were prepared and presented so lovely. The ceaser salad was crisp andthedressing was just enough with the best croutons. Our entrees were scrumptious and delicious. Calves liver, trout, and meatloaf. Other meals for other customers all looked wonderful. We will keep going to Petit Rouge. Hope we can get in because it is a small space. DIVINE. You must have a reservation, of this I am sure.
Brilliant!!!
They always exceed my expectations. Never Disappointed
