   DISAPPOINTED! Went to this restaurant for dinner and had their restaurant week prefix meal. The soup, butternut squash was excellent but it went down hill from there. I had to ask for my glass of wine twice and it arrived during my dinner. The lamp steak which I ordered medium rare, was so full of gristle that I couldn’t cut it with a steak knife. I don’t mind fat but this was tough and uneatable. The presentation lacked visual appeal due to this tough meat thrown on top of french fries. It didn’t even look like something I would have gotten at a diner. The dessert was tasty, the espresso tart, but 3 of us ordered the same thing and each plate had different size portions. One was enough for two and mine was 2 bites. Sorry to say but I expected much more from this restaurant and hope they remove that lamb dish from their menu. It really was only STEW quality and that is being generous!

   Wonderful experience. There was no music which made the ambiance a little lacking! Excellent service.

   Always dependably excellent in all areas. Duck terrific. Nice fire going. Perfect wine.

   My fiancée and I went to Petite Louis Bistro for a Saturday night date night during the Baltimore Winter Restaurant Week. We chose the escargot and butternut squash soup for the appetizer round, salmon and grilled lamb steak for the main course, and tarte opera and financier aux amanda for dessert. The food was delightfully delicious and plentiful. However, we would most likely not order the financier again as we felt it wasn’t quite on par with the tarte. The wine list is extensive and would definitely match any mood and pallete. We decided to test the sommelier by choosing the optional wine pairings presented with the restaurant week menu, and both agreed that they were very well matched. Our only food complaint, not from flavor/taste, was due to not being able to try some of the amazing cheese tray. Unfortunately, we were unsure of when the cheese tray would be presented and were a bit disappointed when we were not offered the choose until after the main course and just as our desserts were arriving instead of what we were expecting to complement our appetizers. Nevertheless, the atmosphere and service created a wonderful evening. The Bistro fortunately has a small parking lot as well as street parking if needed. We both strongly recommend a visit.

   My wife and I enjoyed happy Hr the previous week and decided to go for dinner as soon as our schedules permitted. We're glad we did.

   I've been eating at this establishment for many years. The food is consistently good. What impressed me during this recent visit was the attentiveness of our waitress and the staff that came by our table more than once to see that everything was okay. Some restaurants have good food and mediocre service; others have good service and bad food. This was a dining experience when everything worked perfectly.

    Great food, very loud due to proximity of the bar and waiting line. Ask for a table in the back.
