We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with one of the nicest dinners we have had in a long time. Ahi tuna and the in bone filet were very delicious. We were taken care of very well by Kevin-the excellent waiter.
Fantastic place to grab appetizers in bar for a full meal. Kyle the bartender will know you by name if you been there more than once and the seafood and steaks are some of the city’s best Chef Dave Foegly is awesome in the kitchen.
Thank-you open table for the great table location reservation... We wanted away from the hustle and bustle of the restaurant ,.... and we were given a great table away from the restaurant traffic... Two entrees, a side for two, three cocktails total, a soup, and salad, and it was over $165.00... for two for dinner.... It was good, but could have been better,... and not so expensive..... The scallops were almost cooked perfect, a bit pink in the middle, the brussel sprouts seemed as if they were cooked ahead of time, ..... and then regrilled to reheat, and were a bit to blacken/charred to our liking.... The lobster bisk was amazingly good,...... and the spinach salad was also good, but nothing remarkable..... The Crown and waters were well made,
.. and not to watered down.... And the warm bread was good .... but the little dishes of butter had a refrigerator taste,..... on the top of the butter.... We enjoyed being pampered, as the wait staff was very attentive without being intrusive... which is very nice..... All in all,...... I don't believe any meal for two should cost $165.00..... But it is what it is.....
We have lived near Peterson's for many years but for whatever reason, we had not yet tried it, probably because we don't eat out at higher end restaurants on a regular basis. We have heard my brother and sister-in-law talk about it for the last 5-6 years as they go there on a regular basis and really like it. So we tried it recently and we had a great experience. Food is well prepared and well timed. We wanted to have a relaxing dinner and we did. Everything we had was very good but we both thought the highlight was the calamari. We have had it at many restaurants and think it is a good way to judge the food. It was delicious as was the sauce and slaw that came with it. We also had crab cakes and the crab mac and cheese. The cocktails we had were very well crafted as well - well balanced and delicious. We would definitely go back again.
Fathers Day Celebration
Had a great time at Peterson's! We go here every year for our anniversary and we are never disappointed. Our waiter Bill was awesome! The food was fantastic as was the entire atmosphere!
Dinner was great, the service was even better. Thanks Kevin!
Our anniversary dinner was amazing. The food was fantastic and our waiter, Cory, was even better!
This was a fantastic time
I love this restaurant. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed every bite and the service was impeccable! They even took our picture and gave us a copy as a keepsake of a very wonderful evening. Can’t wait for another special occasion to return!
We were in town for a wedding and it happened to be my husband’s birthday. The folks at Peterson’s couldn’t have been nicer. The service was impeccable and the food was superb.
Kevin our waiter was excellent And Christine was very very good
My out of town friend said “that was the best steak he ever had!!”
Service is at the top of my list for defining a great dining experience and our server met and exceeded our expectation especially with his knowledge of the wines. We both had the fillet which just melted in your mouth.
From the moment you are greeted the staff is exemplary. The food is delicious with great presentation. Peterson’s atmosphere is warm and intimate. I would say Peterson’s is too nice for every day dining but perfect for special occasions or when you want to treat someone or a group to a wonderful culinary experience that is a combination of great food, great ambiance and great service.
Excellent specials were recommended by the server. Service was top notch!
The tuna appetizer was the best I have had in town.
Excellent all around. The best meal I have had in Indy in a long time.
Great choice for my wife and I to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The photo of us signed by the staff was a nice touch. Food was incredible and table romantic.
Server was attentive, he took care to ensure my food Algeria’s were addressed with the Chef.
Food was excellent
The best Prime rib ever!
The service and food were outstanding. Coy was our server and he was extremely accommodating, professional and an all around great pleasure to be around. I can say, Best waiter I have had in a very long time. Ambiance was very relaxing and easy to have conversation.
Baked Halibut is the best seafood dish yet! And I’m filet girl.
Bar area is the best place to hang with Kyle & Chelsy as my favs!
Best meal and wine I've had in a very long time. Beautiful ambiance, outstanding service, and all around an A++++ experience!
We have been going to Petersons several years to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. This last time everything was really good except the noise level by other patrons was uncomfortable - hard to talk. The food and service was excellent. I would recommend them for special occasion celebrations as well as once in a while just for regular dining.
Our waiter, Coy, was simply fantastic.
This has become our favorite high end restaurant. My wife had the halibut special and I sampled it and we both thought it was as good as any we have ever had. I had the short rib with creamed spinach as a side and we split a side of au gratin potatoes. Both are excellent and of sufficient size to share and take home. Our primary server was Janet. We have had her before and she is a great server. We will definitely ask for her on our next visit.
Like so many things, not what it was.
Peterson's is still Peterson's, but the flavors are slipping. When you spend $200 for a dinner for two, you have high expectations, and you should.
We were seated at one of the "half booths" where one person sits on the bench next to the wall and the other sits on a chair with your back to the dining room. When this happens at Peterson's, the person in the chair also has a spotlight bearing down on them. Part of the problem with the spotlight is the shadow it creates directly over your part of the table. If this hasn't happened to you, I think you'd find it annoying too. And, maybe it was my imagination, but by the end of the meal I felt like a bag of french fries. Peterson's should consider LED bulbs. I had a filet with a couple of scallops. The steak was good. The outer char was excessive... but okay. The scallops were a nice size, but little flavor. I'm comparing these scallops to many previous scallops prepared at this location. I was disappointed, but they were still okay.
My wife had no complaints about her steak, but only ate about a third of it. The rest went home for doggie.
Most noticeable slippage was the service. Our server met the requirements. Past servers have always made me glad I chose Peterson's.
As stated by the stars I checked: Good... some things very good... but also uncomfortable and not a $200 meal.
My wife and I have been to Peterson's before and we like the restaurant. This was our anniversary. The staff treated us very well. the food was fantastic and everyone was really nice. Since it was our anniversary, they took a picture of us which we got to keep, and we had a free dessert. We really had a great experience. Thank you Peterson's!
The food was delicious and very well prepared. Our waitress did a wonderful job. Our overall experience was fantastic! Thank you!
Janet was absolutely amazing! She made magic happen even when the energy settled. Amazing service fantastic food! Even my fiancee found her dish to be incredible!
Our meal was super good. We split the entree and salad which was divided in the kitchen. Our server, Sergio did a fantastic job. All four of us were stuffed but still managed to devour the very, very best Key Lime Pie ever. I would highly recommend Petersons.
Waiter Coy, was a delightful & engaging joy! We stop and spend the night in Fishers, Indiana to find at Peterson's, whenever we near. Spectacular as akways!
Peterson's continues to be one of the top Indianapolis restaurants for food-quality and service. The ambiance is quiet and relaxed and ideal for conversation (no TVs or sports noise in the main dining room - just quiet jazz)). The steaks are world-class. Hard to beat. We will always return.
Always wonderful service. The food is fantastic.
the service was great and my husband's steak was excellent, as was the dessert. the appetizer (avocado bites) sounded light but was actually pretty heavy for a starter. the chicken milanese was also really heavy and a bit too much for me personally. we'll be back but i'll definitely be asking more questions about the dishes i order!
Fantastic food and service!! I would recommend Petersons for any occasion.
The meal and service were really good. We did not know that kids were discouraged although the drunk couple at the next table were 4x louder than our kids and really impacted the ambiance.
My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary. We were immediately asked if we were dining for any special occasion. When we said it was our anniversary, they immediately offered to take our picture and printed it for us. We also received a complimentary dessert which we were not expecting. It was our first time dining there and we had a great experience with service and food.
We sat in the bar with great service; we had drinks, appetizers, and desert. It's a special place. It couldn't have been better.
Everything was great
