Peterson's Ratings and Reviews
Reservations were for a date night - before a concert. Arrived prior to the dining room opening, so we enjoyed a cocktail at the bar. Seated promptly and the ambiance was great. Server was attentive and the menu was appropriate. Had wine, appetizer, and main dish steak entrees. All were good - steaks were very good.
We came here to celebrate New Year’s Eve and had a wonderful evening. Our waiter Sergio was very attentive and professional, especially for being the last table in the restaurant, as the ball dropped. The chef’s charcuterie board was so good, as were the filet and Crab’s legs. We were also served champagne just before midnight. We left very happy, and while we like to explore and try new restaurants, we will definitely be coming back here. It was pricey, but as long as you know that going in, it’s a wonderful place to spend a special night!
I've been to Petersons about 10 times over the years. It has always been great. This trip, not so much. Appetizers were fantastic, French Onion Soup and Lobster Bisque soups were not good. When I spoke to our server about my Lobster Bisque, she cut me off mid sentence, as she didn't want to hear anymore than it wasn't good. If you want a good tip, never cut off a customer giving you feedback! I had a Med Rare steak that was fantastic. My wife's medium Filet was dry. Mac and Cheese with crab was blah. Scallops were good but the rest of the entree wasn't. Bread pudding had too much bourbon and made the pudding bitter. Given the expense and the experience, I won't be back! Sad to cross this one off the list!
We were giving Peterson's a second chance, but it was definitely not what we had hoped. The steaks were charred to a burnt taste on the outside, although cooked to our specs internally. There was very little flavor and the side sauces I ordered afterwards to kick the flavor up a notch were no better than what you'd get at a lower-budget steak place. Side dishes were just "ok". Honestly, other than the ambiance which was nice, I cannot figure out how this place can continue to attract the discerning tastebuds of Fishers residents.
Ordered four filets. All of them were cooked incorrectly. The two wait staff seemed dumb founded on what to do. The manager finally came out. Exchanged on of the filets.
Offered a dessert. I think the dinners should have been comped. Completely ruined a special occasion for my staff at their Christmas party! I don’t think dessert covered a $50 filet mistake times four. Especially after the manager came out and bragged that they are known for their steaks. Well tonight they were way off. Highly disappointed to say the least !!
Had our 15th anniversary dinner here and we were completely blown away by the friendly service and delightful food. Starters consisted of a half dozen raw oysters and crispy calamari. The calamari were prepared just right, not chewy, and breaded lightly. The mix of east and west coast oysters were well chilled, and the cocktail sauce appropriately spicy. My wife had grilled scallops on risotto while I enjoyed the special of the evening, grouper on a tamale bed. We thoughouly enjoyed the entrees! We didn’t have dessert, but they provided a lovely cheesecake to take home compliments of the restaurant. Another nice touch was a photo taken and provided to us as a memory of our evening. We will always have great memories of the dinner and will return again and again for our special occasions!
This is a great place for a date, special occasion, or just a nice treat for yourself. The steaks are amazing.I tried the scallops for the first time I was not pleased with the Rizzuto however the scallops were awesome. Next time I’m going for the steak
Our experience at Peterson’s was AMAZING! My boyfriend and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary and they made us feel so special! The service was wonderful and our waiter, Kevin, was so kind and eager to help. Everyone said congratulations and they even took a picture of us and signed a card! Oh and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend!
Fantastic! The service and food are perfect, the atmosphere is relaxed , and never will there b e rambunctious kids running around or screaming, just serenity.
The food is great as expected and served just right at the right time. A good place to dine in comfort at a slow easy pace.
Everyone was very nice; they seemed to go out of their way to make our occasion special. Sevice was very good and our appetizer & meal came quite fast for a Friday night and a full parking lot. We had a very quiet corner near the hostess station; not sure how the noise level was out in the main dining area.
We went just for a dinner to get out of the house and away from the kids for a night. Had not been in a while. All of the food was great and the service/waiter was refreshing as he was personable, funny, professional, and knowledgeable all rolled into one.
I would recommend to anyone with the budget to spend 200-300 bucks on a dinner for 2. You could get out for less but the waiter was good enough I wanted to recognize his efforts and tipped a bit heavy and over 20% as I feel the service industry as a whole is lacking these days but am willing to pay when I get it. We had bacon wrapped shrimp and tuna as appetizers and both were great. I had French onion soup and it was average to be honest. Too much bread made t a bit sour so added salt and it was good. The steaks we had (filets) were outstanding. We tried thei menu drinks but they had a lot of bourbon based options we did not care for so we went back to more standard drinks with no issue.
With the great good and service I would say the cost is a bit high and the atmosphere is a little stuffy compared to places like Cooper’s hawk or even Ruth’s but it is a nice change up and worth trying if you have the budget some time.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary. They gave us a private, romantic table and took a picture for us. The service was great. The food was delicious, but expensive. Some of the food was excellent and I would order it again. We will likely go back, but only for a special occasion. We can’t spend that much on a regular basis!
