Great, quiet atmosphere, for special occasions . Great service and great food!
Loved everything about it, EXCEPT our entrees were not hot! BUT everything else, the service, the people, the ambiance, etc. - absolutely great!
Another outstanding meal. Impeccable service from Janet, great atmosphere. Steak and scallops cooked to perfection. It just doesn't get any better. Well worth the price. Our new go-to place in Indy.
Amazing place - would return; attention to detail is really worthy.
I was in town for business and was recommended by one of my colleagues absolute great experience 1 of the best Rib eyes I've ever tasted I will be back.
Great meal! We shared our entire meal. Perfectly cooked filet mignon. Delicious wedge salad and creamed corn accompaniment. Everything was superb. Friendly warm atmosphere. Relaxing. We had several glasses of zinfandel that were excellent. Peterson's is one of our favorites.
Incredible quality food and seafood. Amazing service. Loved the special wine selections!
Food is great as always. Ambience good. However, from our table there was a view to the bar and there was an obnoxiously loud guy.
I have been here 6 times totally.
Every time I had great time.
Our favorite place to eat in all of Indianapolis. Everything is always perfect from the service to the food. So amazing!
Told waitstaff that we were not in a hurry, that we wanted a nice unhurried meals but within SECONDS after we ordered, our salad was served and before we finished it, our entrée was on the table! Not my idea of a unhurried meal...i could have gone to a fast food restaurant. Very disappointed with the whole experience...would not recommend this place...the food was adequate...it was our first time in this area and was very disappointed!
No mention was made of our anniversary ( stated when we walked in the door & a previous call). The female waitress never told us her name & started to fill water glasses without asking if we wanted bottled water(we did!). She did not check back but mgr did. She did say good night when she brought the bill. It was not a memorable anniversary dinner. Next year back to Ocean Prime!
Good place, but it is slightly overrated.
Prime Rib is amazing! Was recommended by a friend and will not go anywhere else for prime rib after tasting Peterson’s.
High quality food, service, and personal attention . Will be back for sure !
Great Meal! The food was awesome. They sat us in the bar even though we had a reservation, I thought that was strange but the food made up for it. Steak was cooked perfectly and wine list is pretty good!
Our waitress got several things wrong and forgot one of our requests. The food was not that great. A huge disappointment... too much type for the money. I won’t be back.
We had dinner at Peterson's on Saturday, 2/17/18, and honestly, I don't understand how they stay in business. The food was good, about on par with any number of other steakhouses (Outback, etc.) that are MUCH lower price. For the higher price, I expected exceptional service and atmosphere. The atmosphere was so-so, a little loud for a nice dinner, and the table we were seated at was fairly close to a booth with not much room between. However, the service was not good at all. When our appetizer was brought out, we were told someone would be out with bread shortly....it never came. After our food was brought to the table, no one EVER came back to see if we needed anything. We had to catch a server going by to get extra butter/sour cream and ask for an iced tea refill (which I never received). Another customer had to get up to go ask for his check, and yet another was getting up just as we left to get a server's attention to ask if some plates could be cleared off their table.
After asking for our check and informing them that we never did get a tea refill, our waitress offered to take both our ice teas off the bill (and did)....and the bill dropped from around $162 to around $157. The ironic thing is that it really didn't matter....we had been given $200 in Peterson's gift certificates....and knowing that we wouldn't be coming back so a few TEMP_OC_CONTENT_HERE#039;s left on the gift card were worthless to us, we just gave her all the certificates and told her no change necessary.
Funny thing is, she probably thought she was getting a big tip for doing a great job, when really it was the opposite.
Very disappointing experience. First time in 20 years. Restaurants have ups and downs daily. This was a definitely down day.
Service was subpar, especially for a $170 meal for two.
Waitress had too many tables to service the main reason. She wasn’t able to be attentive to all she was assigned. She was proficient, but didn’t interact much at all.
Ambience was zero in the restaurant as a whole. Lifeless, dead.
We were excited to go, but left deflated.
The food, itself, was excellent, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths.
Hostesses and servers were great. Steaks we overcooked and tough. I ordered my steak rare and it came out medium. The server was hoping my plate with a towel because it was too hot to touch. Lobster mac and cheese had some pieces of shell in it. Mashed potatoes we not whipped fully. Drinks were bad. My old fashioned was fizzy.
Overall it was a great experience for a restaurant I normally wouldn't dine at on a regular basis. I received a gift card and this was my first time dining at Petersons. If I had any complaints they would be that we were seated close to the front door and every time a new guest would arrive, we were met with a draft of cold air. I also felt rushed by our server who returned to our table several times while we were viewing the cocktail/wine/dinner menu. I told the server that this was our first time dining at Petersons and I had hoped that would be enough of a clue that we might need some extra time to view the large menus. In no way is this a knock on our server, because I understand she had other tables to attend to and she was just giving us the best service she could. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was prepared to perfection. I would defiantly dine at Peterson's again, however I will request a table further away from the front door.
Very good service. Great time for my wife and i
Great bar menu!! Had the Kobe steak sliders, mushroom fries and crab Mac n cheese... all outstanding! The Manhattan was tasty too
Love Peterson's! Visited last Thursday for a belated Valentine's Day Date with my husband. Both food and service are always excellent!
The steak was good but not worth the almost $70 price tag. The appetizer was small and the crab cake was poor. The crab Mac cheese was the blandest Mac and cheese I have ever had and the asparagus was completely unseasoned (not even salt and pepper) and was undercooked. If it weren't for the great wait staff I would have left in a bad mood. 200+ dollars for mediocre food is not okay and I won't be coming back.
Always a quality experience - great service and excellent food!
Service and food are always top notch. Never disappointed.
Absolutely fantastic! The entire staff treated us like we were royalty, it was such a lifetime experience. Our server was extremely professional and made great wine suggestions. The food was excellent as usual, some new surprises as well, looking forward to our next visit.
Spouse and I went for Valentine’s Day. Wonderful service as always (Thanks Bill T!) Special cocktails and menu available for valentine’s week (yummy). Steak cooked perfectly. The French onion soup highly recommended. For dessert, I asked for the pot du creme (not on menu but have had before on my birthday). Of course they had and it is probably the best thing ever for a chocolate lover. Complementary chocolate dipped strawberries in honor of the day.
The Filet there in the past has always been tender and very good but this time it was very fatty and tough.
Valentines Day dinner. Food was great. Service was excellent. Very enjoyable experience.
Absolutely outstanding food and service. Best steak I've had at a restaurant maybe ever!
This was a disappointing trip to Peterson's unfortunately. I have been to Petersons probably 20 times over the last 10ish years. The service was BAD this time. My wife and I went the day before Valentines day. Service started out fine. Our waiter literally disappeared for long periods of time. Another waiter took pity on us and helped us out, but the wait time between courses and drinks was agonizing. I got one drink and after a while just wanted to leave. The food was amazing as usual. The place was packed, but I expect a level of service when I am paying that much for a meal. Petersons disappointed big time in that regard. Petersons has earned enough brownie points for me that I will definitely be back, but I hope the service is up to snuff next time.
Like one of the great old steak houses but with a casual, comfortable feel. The food and wines were outstanding!
Service was very good. Everyone was very pleasant. There was an uncomfortable wait between salad and entrée. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. No waiting for seating (with reservation). Fillet was excellent. Crab legs were perfect. We'll be back.
The food is great, excellent wine list, the service is excellent, hard to beat the ambiance. Pricey but worth it.
We had an early Valentines dinner and loved it. We had to wait at the bar for our table, but it was enjoyable none the less
As always the food and service was excellent. Our waiter Kevin was great, make sure to ask for him. He has been there for 14 years and makes the experience amazing.
We ordered an appetizer calamari which was excellent. Or salads were excellent. I ordered salmon which was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the special, New York strip, it was very good although on the top side. Other than that., Everything was great.
