It was my second time eating here. I took my sister here for her birthday and she loved the food!
Peso's was great. The blackened ahi tuna Oaxaca style is wonderful. The margaritas are creative but the glass is filled to the top with ice. The longline rockfish tacos were also very good. However, they didn't have a record of our reservation despite the email confirmation I received from Open Table followed by a text requesting confirmation. I confirmed and received a text back that I was confirmed. I will always call the restaurant in the future to ensure they have my reservation. Fortunately a table opened up about 10 minutes after my arrival. The noise level tends to be too loud in the bar area.
Great new place to dine
Make sure that you tell the host/hostess when you arrive that you made a reservation with Open Table. I did not and received an e-mail the next day saying my reservation had been cancelled. The person who seated me seemed indifferent to the fact that I had a reservation. I should have specified Open Table. The food is delicious and the service occasionally haphazard. Don't go when a football game is on television. Noise is deafening! Great for lunch.
I’ll keep this short. My wife ordered meatballs and I ordered a burrito. Both came to the table barely warm. We asked to get it reheated, and it was brought back to us just as barely warm as before. Add to that the fact that the food tasted microwaved and you got a loosing combination. Very disappointed.
Always great food and service in a great setting......
We waited at the door for 10 minutes before we were greeted. We were handed our menus and to take that table “over there.” The waitress may have had a bad night but the place wasn’t overwhelming busy. My wife was given the wrong drink; then at the end of the meal the waitress asked if my wife was she was finished to which she replied no- the she then grabbed my wife’s plate and walked away before we could say anything. As the for the food, it was ok if you like Americanized mexican. Ive never been asked how I like my carne asada cooked nor have I have ever had it topped with butter?? Aparently they have never had real mexican before.
Great spot , we needed up going for brunch and dinner the next day !
our reservation was wrong. wait staff unattentive. made us feel rushed
Enjoyed our meal here before going to the Seattle Rep for a show two blocks away. Tasty food and good atmosphere.
Service was slow. One of our food items was not as advertised, but they did replace it with our choice. Good food. Great happy hour selection and pricing!
The food was amazing. The bathrooms were scary. The service was okay.
Although the service was good & the staff friendly, my enchiladas were barely warm & my dining companion said the ceviche was the worst she had ever had. If you like to view sports at a bar, this is the place. There are several big screen TVs in the bar & restaurant area. Will not return.
I took my boyfriend to Peso's for his birthday, both because he loooves Mexican food and to try someplace new. The food and ambiance: phenomenal. The food and drinks were truly delicious and exceeded expectations. However, our server treated us horribly. She spoke to us like we were idiots and acted like we were wasting her time. It really made- what was supposed to be a special evening- pretty crappy. I might give it another try, in the hopes that it was one girl having a bad night and not how the entire staff treats customers.
We have been here before. It was not crowded on Sept. 1st. and were offered a comfortable and large table for just the two of us. The service was very good. Our dinners were good, but the drink was not up to standard.
Excellent spin on Mexican food. High quality with attractive presentation
We went here for an anniversary date, the atmosphere is much too casual for a romantic dinner date. Food was delicious and our servers were nice, but not too attentive because it was a little busy. At one point we both smelled a strong smell of garbage that lingered for about 5 minutes. Other than that, it looks like a really fun spot for drinks and snacks with friends! I wouldn't go here on a special/romantic occasion.
Great food reasonable prices. Service about what you would expect - not bad but get you in and out mentality.
Amazing food with great waiters and incredible cook
We have a great experience and friendly staff members and of course exquisite food
Excellent service and outstanding food with a pleasant Latin ambience. Nicely portioned entrees.
We had reservations and they did not manage the tables. There was a concert and we never got seated.
Super lively. Very popular at Happy Hour as they have great food and drinks at good prices
Pesos is always a favorite. Can't beat their margaritas!
Perfect for pre-Storm game quick bite. Great drinks and service!
Friendly helpful staff, delicious margaritas and amazing food. We have a few dietary restrictions and the kitchen was happy to accommodate us. We split the Chicken Avocado Lime soup, Ahi Tartare and Seared Scallops over Creamed Corn. The server warned us that some things might be a bit spicy (which we love) and everything was spiced perfectly. Scallops had a nice sear but were still melt-in-your-mouth tender.
Everything was lovely but the server seemed to disappear for long periods of time between questions. We felt like we had to "catch" her.
Wasn't sure what to expect based on some online reviews, but we had a GREAT experience! Four of us all agreed that our meals were very good and we will definitely be back. We had a reservation, got seated right away and had servers who checked in on us frequently. Special requests were not an issue. Splitting the bill no problem and we had plenty of time to walk to Seattle Rep for our show. A great new find for us!
Food was good, service wasn't great! People around us kept getting things they didn't order - almost like they don't have a numbered table system. Sangria wasn't that great but my fajitas and the tacos were delish! Also super cheap!
Service was horrible! Thank goodness the food was worth its weight. If you want to be waited on I do not recommend eating here. No check back on anything. Check was dropped without asking about dessert or if we desired another drink. Nothing was suggested and the drinks we did have were very salty. I don't remember the drinks being so bad last time I visited. The service has never been anything to dote on but the food is always good. Thank you to the kitchen for their quality.
This was a good Friday night place to have dinner between work and the ballet at McCaw Hall. The carne asada was excellent and I was able to buy a 6 oz cut so that I wouldn't walk away too full. The cost was better than expected and every thing tasted fresh and perfectly spiced. I plan to return again.
Food was really delicious, but the service really needed work. We never got the appetizer we ordered. When the waiter brought our entrees they had the wrong tortillas (we'd asked for flour and received corn), and on two separate occasions he had to re-ask our drink orders after waking away to place them. (He was not writing anything down as we ordered, food or otherwise, and was clearly forgetting when he walked away.)
We had a great time at Peso's as always! The food was delicious. Peso's is one of our favorite restaurants to go to when we visit Seattle! We will be back again!
Very poor service. Servers were distracted and at one point our waitress left the restaurant to get herself an energy drink.
This place was a nightclub. Went there to grab something to eat after checking into a nearby hotel. Food tasted like it came from a can. Service was terrible and it was more of a university bar than a place to eat. I can't understand the good reviews for this place. Will gladly avoid in the future.
My party of 4 people had a 7:00 reservation but we showed up early and the staff was super accommodating for a busy night, seating us at 6:30. Great service and wonderful food!
We were in on a very busy Friday night and their service was exceptional. The host really went out of his way to give us a pleasant experience and the wait staff was prompt and attentive. We were so impressed because they were literally slammed with customers...barely standing room while waiting for tables. We always enjoy their food. But it was their service that was the most outstanding thing about our last visit. We really appreciated it and had a really great time! We'll be back for sure.
DO NOT book if you have a gluten allergy or are celiac. Most of the meats are marinated with soy sauce and there is flour in most of the sauces. Even the red salsa for the enchiladas have soy sauce in it.
