We were guests at Hotel Zoe and had two dinners at Pescatore with family and friends. The service was great and you can’t beat the convenience if you’re staying at the hotel or near Fisherman’s Wharf. I recommend it.
Nice place for Italian off of the busy Wharf. Good food and nice ambiance.
Food was good. Service was OK.
My husband and I were in the area to visit a ship docked at Pier 15. We normally don't really enjoy going to the Wharf area as it is always busy with tourists. After reading a few other reviews here on OpenTable, I thought that Pescatore sounded like a hidden local spot that would offer a more relaxing and romantic evening for us. I wasn't wrong! The service was close to perfect. Our server was very attentive and knew just when to come by to ask if we needed anything and when to stay away so we could enjoy our dinner.
The restaurant is cozy, romantic, but casual. I didn't realize it was part of Hotel Zoe until I went to find the restroom (you walk through the lobby of the hotel to find it). As for the food, it was delicious. Maybe not too inventive, but just what you want from a romantic night out at an Italian place. We shared the charcuterie plate for our appetizer and followed that up with linguine vongole and osso buco. The pasta was perfectly al dente with plenty of clams, while the osso buco was fall-apart tender and full of flavor.
If we are ever in the area again, we'll be sure to return to Pescatore.
Awesome place. Stayed at Hotel Zoe and had breakfast here daily. Additionally we had Happy Hour pre and post dinner. We also had dinner here twice during our stay. All the food and service was great. Eddie at the bar and as server was outstanding. TY
Food was very good. Our waiter made the night! He was attentive and very funny.
Food was over cooked. They advertize no cork fee and then there is a cork fee.
Pescatore is good quality food prepared fresh, and is a value. The service is very attentive, and the food is served quickly, is served hot and is good quality. I've been going there bi monthly for over a year, and I just learned that all their pasta is made from scratch. They were also very open to making things different from the menu, and accommodating vegetarians and even vegan patrons.
Service and food were amazing!
I was on vacation with three teenagers with very different pallets. We all found something to enjoy on the menu, even when one of us had a shellfish allergy. Everyone was very pleased with their meals even my picky eater.
The food and service was good as usual, and if you are local ask for the discount. We were disappointed to discover that the tasty bread that used to be included now requires a charge. They didn't offer us bread, we had to ask to find out about the changes to the menu. I hope this review will make them consider including the bread again - since their prices are high enough without charging for bread.
Great location
Family reunion so we had a large party of 7. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Went wth family while travelling in San Francisco. Loved the service (Marlo’s the man to ask!), the food and the overall dining experience. Serving size is super generous; The meatball is spot on, the black linguini is fresh and tasty, the cod was a little pricy but was still tasty, gelato and the sorbet were rich in flavour and absolutely delicious! The house beer was great too. We would recommend it to anyone who loves Italian :)
Great varied menu; something for everyone, including kids menu. Delicious food. Great drink menu. Our waiter was fantastic. Very friendly, professional, and great with the kids.
Food is mediocre, especially for the price. The crab cakes are 80% filler, far from a real crab cake. The crab ravioli was very bland. It took over an hour to get our food but I’m only taking off stars for the food. My wife and I are staying at hotel Zoe so we also tried their breakfast. The sausage omelette was not sausage, it looked like an Oscar Meyer was cut up and put inside an omelette. My wife had the oatmeal and said it was flavorless. I’ve honestly had better breakfast at Denny’s. Seriously for breakfast go to the Hollywood cafe, same price but you get quality and it’s right down the street. You are paying 5 star prices for 3 star food at best.
Annual Christmas get together
One of the best pastas I’ve ever had. Fresh, hot and delicious with fresh grated Parmesan. The server was lovely too with a great sense of humour and offered up recommendatioms. He was right about dessert!
A hidden gem
Highly recommend this place
Would go here again if I am in town.
Food was great. Service was way too slow from the very beginning to the very end. The waiter seemed distracted most of the time. Frustrating.
Great local restaurant. Many Fish a Pasta selections. Also, has a Pizza oven.
At the end of a satisfying snack of tomato soup & an order of meatballs, I was pleasantly surprised that my server, unsolicited, brought me a Hot lemon & honey beverage in a to go cup after she observed my sinus were acting up. Clearly an empathetic employee and helped make my night better as the rain began just prior leaving this excellent restaurant. Thank you!
Great food and wine. Black linguini with squid ink was rich and filling. Expected polenta sticks instead of soupy polenta. It was tasty but I wouldn't order that again. Really nice decor.
Our waiter was amazing. Food absolutely delicious!
Great food and service, not a fancy place, but the Seafood Risotto was great.
What a great restaurant. Maybe service is a bit slow but well worth it for the food! Great prices too.
Food was very good.
Service and attentiveness slowed a little as restaurant got busier - it was a Saturday night.
Would recommend but make sure you book.
We enjoyed our dinner at Pescatore, it was in our hotel. The room we sat in was quite dark so it made tough to read the menu. The menu had great variety for both appetizers and entrees. I had the Trout, a whole fish, it was well seasoned and deboned, fabulous. My wife had the Seafood Risotto, she thought it was OK, a little too tomatoey, but plenty of seafood. The wine selection was good and well priced.
Don't bother going here. It was terriable. The host said they didn't have any tables then we went online and selected a reservation on here. Literally walked back in 4 min later and was sat.
Very good quality and presentation.
I had the trout which was an out standing entree. Would definitely re visit on my next stop in this wonderful city.
Great food and service to say the least. We enjoyed all of our dishes. No complaints. We'll be returning when we're back in San Francisco. We highly recommend.
not sure why the review needs to be at least 50 characters, but hey here we go..
A great Italian restaurant. Our server was the best. Marlowe knew the menu and the plates. He was always right there to see out our needs. We had a wonderful and relaxing meal close to everything we liked in San Francisco.
We are not seafood fans and still loved this restaurant. Fantastic pasta.
Cleanliness of the tables was an issue. The tops were so sticky that the check stuck.
Had a get together with my cousin who lives across the bay. I was visiting from new jersey. She was staying at adjacent hotel and it was nice place to catch up.
Food was okay. Service was not. We had to wave our hands to get attention. Looks like they may have been short handed. I would not rush back.
Filled with tourists but that's the location, near several Fisherman's Wharf hotels. My mahi mahi on white beans tasted fantastic at the time but i was sick for 1-1/2 days after (and my husband ate everything I did but the mahi). Servers were very warm and attentive.
Great food. There were 3 of us and we all totally enjoyed our very different meals - chicken parm, calzone, and trout. Friendly staff. There sidewalk seating but it was a bit cold so we opted for in doors.
The food was very good. The dishes were ordered were well done and very tasty.
