We had a delicious meal! This restaurant knows how to concentrate on wonderful Italian food with special touches and delicious combinations. We will go again for sure. My husband loved the Nonna's Italian Gravy dish (huge delicious meatball) and my veal was tender and accompanied by delicious sides (brussel sprouts and wild mushroom risotto). A new favorite!
The early dining menu offered until 6 pm is a wonderful way to enjoy excellent food, perfect portions. , a quiet atmosphere, and attentive service at this byob gem
Delicious first of season soft shell crabs! Three in our party ordered them and all delighted! Grilled octopus appetizer was good according to my significant other. Caprese salad had smallish tomatoes compared to those we had at another restaurant a few days ago. But the combination of mozzarella, tomatoes, prosciutto and balsamic was delicious.
Being a BYOB we happily drank a bottle of wine and enjoyed our delightful servers attention. Luckily the restaurant was not filled of it would have been noisier. We’ll be back!
Pleasant evening with both a good meal and good company
Food was great but...They did not tell us that there was a mandatory 20% tip automatically added, so we paid 40% tip. Not cool.
I've been to Pescatore several times recently and it is always good. The food and service are good and I like the fact that it is BYOB.
Food was very good. Service was excellent. Nice atmosphere and not too loud. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and had a very nice time at the restaurant.
Neighborhood gem. Consistent food, pleasant wait staff, varied menu, interesting specials.
We brought friends in from out west and wow'ed 'em! After tuna tartare, my wife had barramundi, which turns out to be a sound move for the environment as well as for her - it's a delicious whitefish that's easy on the planet but not served in many restaurants (yet). Our companions loved the Caesar flatbread with crab and the pasta with seafood, while I reestablished my relationship with soft shell crabs (who vacationed elsewhere for the winter...) We also did something rare for us - we all shared a huge dessert plate with enough calories to support a small army. Not one bite went unappreciated!
Great first time experience at Pescatore. We were seated promptly (even though the restaurant was busy, our table was set and waiting for us). The service was friendly and knowledgeable, with clear descriptions of the specials. The food was delicious and cooked to order (requested level of done ness, etc.). Portions were generous and I believe all of us had food left on our plates - despite this, we managed to make room for a shared dessert, which was also excellent. We look forward to our next visit.
The food was excellent with a wide selection of menu items. So many that I wanted to try that I'll have to make a point of returning. The server was wonderful. Very friendly, attentive and informative. The flatbread Caesar salad was delicious. Should be a regular on the menu.
Went to Pescatore for a birthday dinner. I had not been there for many years and was pleased at the improvements. The noise level is now buffered and you can have a conversation. Variety of food choices for a party of people. Good service and pricing reflects most byob restaurants.
Absolutely awesome!! Drove up from MD for a concert and decided on Pescatore based on online reviews- and OpenTable ease of making a reservation. Have already told friends about it and are looking for another reason to go to Philly- because we know where we will eat!!
All the food is extremely fresh & very well presented!
Very friendly staff. Very pleased with servers on 2 separate occasions. Food is good, not amazing. Very nice restaurant for a local neighborhood gig. BYOB. Really no complaints. I would go back anytime.
This was a perfect place for my girls night out. The food is AMAZING, nice sized portions and service was excellent
Wonderful meal on a weeknight; not crowded or noisy, great service-highly recommend
Fun evening with old friends and all six of us enjoyed the food. We had either fish or seafood and everything was fresh and well prepared. We have all been here before and we will be back.
The food and service at Pescatore is excellent. A new gallery opened across the street. It is open until 7 pm on Friday night. You can visit the gallery and have a 7 pm dinner reservation.
The meal was outstanding. compliments to the Chef. I waitress, Savannah was attentive and an excellent wait staff. We enjoyed our time.
It's Saturday night & the place is packed. Tables are turning rapidly for an eclectic mix of neighborhood seniors, trendy millennials, & early stage empty-nesters - so we're getting a great people-watchers' (...and listeners') floor show while having our usual leisurely meal at our favorite local place. As always, quality & service remain tops despite a full load on the entire staff. But the greatest news is that soft shell crabs are back! All at our table had them & they were explosively wonderful after the long, hard, crabless winter :) It took great restraint not to order them for appetizers too, but we made it through tuna tartare & octopus with no difficulty. Pescatore sets the bar high & clears it...every time!
We loved the special appetizer which was salad flat bread with shrimp and crab, but it was more of a main course. It was to be shared and was way too big for two. We couldn't stop eating it, which was a shame because we were full when the main courses came. That aside, the scallops were divine and so was the cheese ravioli with crab. Get the chocolate cake and tiramisu for dessert. We had a great time, adored the food, but should have skipped the appetizer for our physical comfort.
Excellent food. Great service. Alot of local regulars
Great experience food was fantastic and service matched it!!
My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. His was really delicious (Chicken Sacco). He also ordered the artichokes which were great, too. I had the special, Halibut served over spinach. It was cooked well. It was not an exciting meal, but then halibut never is. My husband also ordered the Tiramisu, which we both thought was excellent. there are a lot of things on the menu that are very appealing, so we are definitely looking forward to going back. If you want to go to Pescatore, you should reserve well in advance, because it is very popular. We had to take a 5:30 seating to get in. The place filled up fast and stayed full. That's a pretty good evidence that the clientele really enjoy the dining experience there. We would definitely recommend it.
Excellent food and server was helpful without hovering.
First time at Pescatore.
An excellent evening.
Menu and specials sounded excellent and was difficult to decide
What we had was excellent.
Our server was pleasant and made the evening most enjoyable.
I would recommend Pescatore to friends and relatives (which I already have done).
I had the Branzino. GREAT!!! Portions were worth the money. Stuffed calamari was some of the best I’ve had.
Food was good as usual. We were happy that there remained an a la cartel menu in addition to the Valentines Day fixed price menu. In addition, service was very good.
We had a nice time. Quieter then normal. Mussels & pork chop Milanese good. The pasta pomodora needs more flavor
Pescatore never disappoints. The owners make you feel like you are at home in Noni's kitchen. Visit soon and be sure to order the grilled Caesar salad flat bread… It's AMAZING!
Nice ambiance coupled with excellent food makes for an enjoyable evening. They have a variety of seafood dishes as well as regular fare. Definitely a cut above most of the Mainline.
The fact that it is BYOB makes it even more enjoyable.
It was the third time I was at the resturant in a short period. The food has been consistently excellent.
Warm, friendly environment. Greeter and Server were great. Food was very fresh, interesting, and most of all tasted wonderful.
Fine neighborhood place with reliably good food. One criticism: almost zero vegetarian options.
An excellent dinner with outstanding, attentive service. Great scallops. a large, perfectly breaded Pork chop Milanese, a perfect Osso Bucco- also northern Italian style = everyone raved about their meal. Plan to return soon.
It’s was my 50th birthday celebration! Anthony helped to make my night truly amazing!!!!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Pescatore. Being a Tuesday night it was quiet. The service was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Every thing we ate was divine and the portions were very generous. The octopus app. was delicious and incredibly tender. The osso bucco was delicious and the Nonna's Sunday Gravy, with a meatball, sausage, duck ragu and ricotta cheese over bucatini...well, if my Nonna cooked like that, I wouldn't go out! The desserts were also very well done, with a special mention of the cannoli, crispy and creamy. Wow!
We will definitely be back.
The food was excellent. However, my friends and I were rushed out of the restaurant. We were dining with some friends who had never been to Pescatore before and they were shocked to be given their jackets and told to leave to make more room for another party. There are many times that I have had to wait 1/2 hour to be seated at Pescatore. It was very rude and the way the manager handled the situation was completely inappropriate. It’s not only about good food, but the overall experience. I intend in the future to take friends & family to local byobs that value their loyal clientele and are not solely interested in turning tables.
We were somewhat disappointed by our meal. One of us had scallops that were overdone. The appetizer was wonderful, if a bit excessive. The service was outstanding. Not as impressive a meal as we expected.
