The food and service at Pescatore is excellent. A new gallery opened across the street. It is open until 7 pm on Friday night. You can visit the gallery and have a 7 pm dinner reservation.
The meal was outstanding. compliments to the Chef. I waitress, Savannah was attentive and an excellent wait staff. We enjoyed our time.
It's Saturday night & the place is packed. Tables are turning rapidly for an eclectic mix of neighborhood seniors, trendy millennials, & early stage empty-nesters - so we're getting a great people-watchers' (...and listeners') floor show while having our usual leisurely meal at our favorite local place. As always, quality & service remain tops despite a full load on the entire staff. But the greatest news is that soft shell crabs are back! All at our table had them & they were explosively wonderful after the long, hard, crabless winter :) It took great restraint not to order them for appetizers too, but we made it through tuna tartare & octopus with no difficulty. Pescatore sets the bar high & clears it...every time!
We loved the special appetizer which was salad flat bread with shrimp and crab, but it was more of a main course. It was to be shared and was way too big for two. We couldn't stop eating it, which was a shame because we were full when the main courses came. That aside, the scallops were divine and so was the cheese ravioli with crab. Get the chocolate cake and tiramisu for dessert. We had a great time, adored the food, but should have skipped the appetizer for our physical comfort.
Excellent food. Great service. Alot of local regulars
Great experience food was fantastic and service matched it!!
My husband and I both enjoyed our meals. His was really delicious (Chicken Sacco). He also ordered the artichokes which were great, too. I had the special, Halibut served over spinach. It was cooked well. It was not an exciting meal, but then halibut never is. My husband also ordered the Tiramisu, which we both thought was excellent. there are a lot of things on the menu that are very appealing, so we are definitely looking forward to going back. If you want to go to Pescatore, you should reserve well in advance, because it is very popular. We had to take a 5:30 seating to get in. The place filled up fast and stayed full. That's a pretty good evidence that the clientele really enjoy the dining experience there. We would definitely recommend it.
Excellent food and server was helpful without hovering.
First time at Pescatore.
An excellent evening.
Menu and specials sounded excellent and was difficult to decide
What we had was excellent.
Our server was pleasant and made the evening most enjoyable.
I would recommend Pescatore to friends and relatives (which I already have done).
I had the Branzino. GREAT!!! Portions were worth the money. Stuffed calamari was some of the best I’ve had.
Food was good as usual. We were happy that there remained an a la cartel menu in addition to the Valentines Day fixed price menu. In addition, service was very good.
We had a nice time. Quieter then normal. Mussels & pork chop Milanese good. The pasta pomodora needs more flavor
Pescatore never disappoints. The owners make you feel like you are at home in Noni's kitchen. Visit soon and be sure to order the grilled Caesar salad flat bread… It's AMAZING!
Nice ambiance coupled with excellent food makes for an enjoyable evening. They have a variety of seafood dishes as well as regular fare. Definitely a cut above most of the Mainline.
The fact that it is BYOB makes it even more enjoyable.
It was the third time I was at the resturant in a short period. The food has been consistently excellent.
Warm, friendly environment. Greeter and Server were great. Food was very fresh, interesting, and most of all tasted wonderful.
Fine neighborhood place with reliably good food. One criticism: almost zero vegetarian options.
An excellent dinner with outstanding, attentive service. Great scallops. a large, perfectly breaded Pork chop Milanese, a perfect Osso Bucco- also northern Italian style = everyone raved about their meal. Plan to return soon.
It’s was my 50th birthday celebration! Anthony helped to make my night truly amazing!!!!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Pescatore. Being a Tuesday night it was quiet. The service was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Every thing we ate was divine and the portions were very generous. The octopus app. was delicious and incredibly tender. The osso bucco was delicious and the Nonna's Sunday Gravy, with a meatball, sausage, duck ragu and ricotta cheese over bucatini...well, if my Nonna cooked like that, I wouldn't go out! The desserts were also very well done, with a special mention of the cannoli, crispy and creamy. Wow!
We will definitely be back.
The food was excellent. However, my friends and I were rushed out of the restaurant. We were dining with some friends who had never been to Pescatore before and they were shocked to be given their jackets and told to leave to make more room for another party. There are many times that I have had to wait 1/2 hour to be seated at Pescatore. It was very rude and the way the manager handled the situation was completely inappropriate. It’s not only about good food, but the overall experience. I intend in the future to take friends & family to local byobs that value their loyal clientele and are not solely interested in turning tables.
We were somewhat disappointed by our meal. One of us had scallops that were overdone. The appetizer was wonderful, if a bit excessive. The service was outstanding. Not as impressive a meal as we expected.
Food is always good. Have been coming here for years. Servers are friendly. Menu is very accommodating. My wife orders crab cakes. I normally order something off the menu and the chef will honor my wishes. Love coming here.
Always an A plus meal!
The food was incredible, as al2ays. Dana, our waitress was terrific. 5 Stars.
Always can count on a good meal with good service in a well maintained atmosphere
Food was outstanding. We tried a the crab and mac, lobster ravioli, and a few pasta dishes including the Sunday Dinner entree. All were great. Desserts were also very good. Small place so the restaurant is a bit tight but other than that no complaints. We hope to get back soon.
Always a good time. Very welcoming and accommodating. No complaints
The food here is delicious. Be aware that many of the dishes are quite rich. It's a little loud, but the excellent food is certainly worth it.
Also be aware that the restaurant is BYOB.
Fabulous atmosphere - classy and comfortable!
Had a very good meal, I believe, better than in the past & it was good then, too! Just slightly overpriced. My friend from out of town loved it. I do enjoy getting your e-mails, as well.
Restaurant came recommended. Their favorite was the fish. Two got the fish special that was delicous. Veal was great too. Have already recommended the restaurant to three friends.
Food was excellent , as always, pity they did not have the steak special that night as they .change the special every day. They said I should call when making the reservation to request the steak for the day we are going and they will make it for us. I wanted to have the steak as my brother who had it last time we went to eat there said it was the best he ever had!
Thankfully, great food and service do not get boring with repetition! We brought friends who'd been avoiding Pescatore because they'd "rather eat downtown" despite our repeated efforts. All it took was the tuna tartare to start the wheels turning - by the end of the main course, they were deciding when to return. The striped bass special was superb, as was everything else from long hots to the pork chop. The ample portions surprised our guests almost as much as the high quality. Even the espresso is pretty good, which is true of only a handful of restaurants.
The baked calamari was absolutely delicious! That and a fresh salad are more than enough for a meal. I also ordered short ribs with portabello ravioli - had to take half home - and hubby had lobster ravioli. Both wonderful. We'll be back!
We enjoyed our meal. The service was great and the menu had many great choices.
Great Italian food. Fresh, delicious seafood. Try the flatbread with caesar salad and seafood, wonderful appetizer for sharing. It's nice to have a local place at a high caliber and informal feel. And byob too.
Food was delicious and service was very attentive. Beautiful atmosphere. However, prices were high!!! If you’ve had the same special appetizer for seven years, you should probably add it to the menu... but I guess People might not order it if they knew it cost $26!!!
Enjoyed our dinner very much... going back with other friends this coming week. Our waitress Lauren was very capable and added to our enjoyment. Food was delicious.
I love to introduce it to new people
And the bonus is, I can walk there
