Had a wonderful and very relaxing anniversary dinner on 4/5/21. Our server, Andre, was excellent. All of his suggestions were spot on! He was very knowledgeable about the menu, pairings of drinks that complimented our food selections and was very attentive to the table without being intrusive. The oysters on the half shell were plumb and tasted exactly like it had just been taken directly out of the ocean. The seafood dishes were perfectly prepared. We would highly recommend this restaurant and Andre, if you want great food and exceptional service! We will be back when we return to the Rochester Area.
This had been our first time dining out in over a year due to COVID besides Starbucks drive thru (not lying). I have to say this blew our expectations out of the water & who knew we were still in the middle of a pandemic besides having to wear our masks. We felt extremely comfortable & safe in the restaurant. Our server Rudy was amazing from the second we sat down!!! One of us has food restrictions & all of us are Keto on top of it so we had to make menu adjustments & not only did Rudy remember everything he was more than accommodating & it did not phase him but the kitchen was also more than accommodating. Huge WIN! The food I can't even begin to describe how delicious it was. Let's just say everyone wanted to lick our plates & not let the servers take them away :) The oysters were incredible we wanted to cancel our dinner order & just keep a running train of oysters coming. Definitely a must go to if you are in town!
Pescara is the best dining in Rochester, especially if you like fish. Outstanding fish -- crab cakes, lobseter bisque (worth a visit just for this dish) and the catch of the day! Great date night destination.
Waiter Daniel went above and beyond to fulfill all requests!
Fantastic service and food. Never thought I'd get such wonderful scallops in Rochester, MN.
Enjoyable and relaxing dinner. Food and wine were awesome! Thank you!
Best fish restaurant we have gone to. We live in California and come to Rochester Min. For the Mayo Clinic.. To be able to enjoy this wonderful restaurant has been a real bonus. The staff is professional and welcoming. Absolutely the best in every way!
Great dining experience. The meal was 5 star. Our service was exceptional. Overall ambiance was excellent.
The choppinio was fabulous!
We shared a flourless chocolate torte - also excellent.
The ambience was lovely. Our waiter was terrific. The food is a little over priced, but I thought we were really paying for the atmosphere. Food was warm, but not piping hot....they could serve it warmer for sure. Absolutely would go back again.
Pescara was our first dining out destination after the pandemic forced us to take almost a year off. We were pleased to see masking and social distancing in full force. The ahi tuna and salmon (along with our martinis) were delicious as ever.
Service was not very good.
No GF options. Ordered sea food, and there was a crostini touching my food.
Great fresh fish prepared perfectly. We really enjoyed our meal and service.
This was a big splash out for my birthday. First time at this restaurant. Everything was on point for a quietly extravagant evening out. Our server was super helpful and fun. The room was quietly stylish. The food, (yikes) the food was amazing. If I had to say a less than stellar comment it would have to be: no room for any of the gorgeous sounding desserts after the lobster and shrimp risotto. I was too full. Honestly it was a perfect evening.
Could not have had a nicer 1st visit experience for today's Sunday lunch. From the welcome by staff thru the last sip of coffee, an A+ experience. Every dish brought to the table was prepared with care. Even sauces & dressings were well made & seasoned - excellent. The dessert selection, too, was well above average. We'll come again - soon.
Waiter’s politeness was the only good part, but whoever was in the kitchen ruined the night. Kitchen Person who assembled the Tuna Tartar did so with so much cilantro and capers that it was inedible. no fish came through at all. no citrus, nothing but cilantro and capers. it ruined the dish. they also didn’t understand “Rare”. the cut of steak had too much connective tissue, was served mostly blue, still cold in the center. waiter said the calamari was “light” it was heavily breaded and for someone who had surgery it was inedible. same with the mussels. very heavy dish and was not refreshing at all. all this considered, the quality (freshness) of the steak was wonderful; but we decided to skip wine and desert. the coffee was HORRIBLE. 90% froth 10% milk and coffee. it was undrinkable. worst birthday experience ever.
The food was excellent and our server Lisa took great care of us.
Food was amazing and service was even better. Our server gave us great suggestions. I had tuna and husband had signature scallops. A wonderful choice if in the Mayo clinic area.
Bread was yummy, as were our dinners!
Would go again
My parents are not people who would spend a lot of money on a great meal, so I really love to indulge them when they will let me. I took them to Pescara for my mom's 87th birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect! From the hostess wishing my Mom a happy birthday right when we arrived to our waiter's wonderful, gentle demeanor, to the amazing food, and the sumptuous desert for her birthday, Pescara did everything right! We were there on a CoVid Saturday evening so it was pretty quiet, which allowed us to have a lot of good conversation and we never felt rushed, languishing over each course. I highly recommend Pescara!
Fantastic brunch! Everything was delicious. Service was awesome. Highly recommend.
We dined at Pescara 3 nights this trip, obviously our favorite spot. This restaurant never disappoints and has continued to offer top quality dishes year after year. Pescara is known for their seafood but do offer meat and pasta entrees as well. Also noted that the staff went out of their way to sanitize the tables and chairs between seatings.
Lovely setting with large windows. Great waiter (Michael S). Food was scrumptious. We enjoyed the time we spent there for lunch.
Great food and ambience as always. Be back next year for sure!
We did not expect to find such a great seafood restaurant in Minnesota in the middle of winter. Tenderloin appetizer was great followed by the Walleye Milanese and the Mussel appetizer my wife had as a meal. A nice 2007 Barolo for our dinner refreshment top it off. We will be back!
Service was amazing, our waiter was very kind. The desert was to die for.
Just had much higher expectations... the ambiance was like a dinner and looked old. Food was good but nothing stood out. There are a numbers of Restaurants I would chose before this place... Blue Duck, Chester's, Prescott, Mango Thia, and the list can go on. Not saying bad just not really good either.
My husband and I loved our Valentine's lunch at Pescara. The food was excellent and the waitstaff were attentive and polite. I could probably drink a gallon of that lobster bisque!
Pescara is a wonderful restaurant, a cut above most. It’s on the high end of restaurants in Rochester but the food is always wonderful and, unlike other expensive restaurants in town, the quality of the experience is well worth the price.
The food was great and the service exceptional!!
As always....... It was wonderful!!!
Dinner was great and our server Chris was really attentive and knowledgeable. It was great to get out. Thank you Pescara!!
We have never been disappointed with our food or service at Pescara.
Fresh steelhead trout was amazing. Food was served hot and overall service was terrific. Great place to enjoy in RST!
This is a great restaurant. The seafood is fantastic, and they have great service. The wine list is also very good.
Very attentive staff. Very flavorful food. Very relaxing atmosphere. Calm lighting. Nice background music.
Awesome food. Oysters were fresh cold and briny. Lobster excellent. Wine was fantastic although a bit overpriced
We had an awesome experience as we always do. Chris took great care of us. We never ran out of drinks and once a plate needed to be cleared the process was completely seamless. It’s amazing to be taken care of in a way that appears so effortless but you know he worked really hard to accomplish this. Additionally, the food was amazing!!! Being that it was a special occasion we actually wanted to try several things of the menu and opted to do a variety of their small plates along with a shareable side. Best decision ever and we even had the opportunity to order dessert which was also delicious.
Love love love this place!
Fabulous service, well seasoning, delicious food, exactly what I expected at Pescara!
