Best Seafood 2020 (Rochester Magazine)
Best Fine Dining 2020 (Rochester Magazine)
Park in First Street Ramp and follow the signs to the DoubleTree Hotel. Accessible through the skyway from Mayo Clinic and all downtown businesses.
Great service and friendly staff. Food was great.
We were in Rochester for the night to pick up a foster dog for a local rescue and decided to grab dinner at Pescara on a recommendation from my brother. We had the Bang Bang Calamari, Insignia scallops, and then market scallops sauteed with lemon beurre blanc. The food was all very well-prepared and tasted wonderful. Good service from the waitstaff throughout the evening, and the manager (James?) stopped by as well to make sure everything was in order. Would recommend and would definitely go back if we are ever back in the Rochester area.
I had shrimp tacos. Would be better if they were not battered.
Yet another great find in Rochester, MN. I only had time for very quick lunch while at Mayo with my wife, but the food was deeeee....licious. Kind of the "see.... I told ya so" in conservative seafood, you know, one that serves the fish-and-chips dish too, in addition to oysters and prawns. Absolute must try kind of a place for any seafood lover.
Great service and food.
Gracious service,, delicious food!
Either waiter forgot to put in our order, or the kitchen forgot to complete it. We were left waiting over an hour after we placed our order. My medium rare steak was cooked no less than medium well. Poor execution for a $60 meal
Pescara is wonderful but my steak was overcooked.
The service was great and the food was excellent. I liked having a coat check.
Back in Rochester to get a check up at Mayo. It’s been 10
Years. I found this place last time I was here. It was great then. Still doesn’t disappoint. So good, I’m going again tonight and will probably order the salmon again. Yummmmm.
Excellent lobster bisque! And walleye sandwich on grainy bread.
If you are searching for a quiet, clean place to meet for business, try pescara for breakfast
Great. No complaints.
I had the Walleye and my husband had a Porterhouse steak. The food was excellent. The wait staff was warm, inviting and attentive. We also enjoyed the wine that we selected with the help of the waitress. It was a relaxing evening out at a quiet restaurant with delicious food.
The fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly. The lemon beurre Blanc sauce was amazing! Highly recommend :)
Note, it’s more expensive than what it says on open table, it was listed as under $30 but 30-40 is the range of entrees (which do not include sides)
We had an amazing experience at Pescara. Our food was delicious and had the perfect amount of time between salad and meal
The Creme brûlée was AMAZING!!!!
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Food, service, and everything in between has always been wonderful! Highly recommend.
Dry thoughtful staff to accommodate our special needs. The food is exceptionally prepared and very good. A wonderful surprise
Mother daughter day for brunch, always a favorite place to go.
Good brunch. Good service
Excellent service and food!
Wonderful food and Michael was very attentive as our server
The food and service were very good, the only problem I had was the Manhattan on the rocks that I ordered. A good food venue should have a better bartender. My drink tasted like it was mostly sweet vermouth. It was just bad and I think a Manhattan is a fairly simple drink to make, so that should never happen.
The food and the service was fantastic. I ordered the sea bass which was cooked perfectly that was prepared with a lemon beurre blanc sauce and a crab cake appetizer that consistently remains one of the best I've had.
Very nice dinner: calamari, walleye, scallops. Well prepared and presented. Sophisticated decor. Friendly, informative waitstaff. Very pleasant evening.
Amazing breakfast buffet! Our waiter was great, very attentive and always made our daughter smile when he came to the table. Definitely recommend!
I appreciated our server Sal. He was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the menu. My parents appreciated an elegant dinner to celebrate their 65th Anniversary. Thanks much!
I'm bummed as they no longer have my lamb dish. but the food and service is still excellent.
I have always enjoyed the food at Pescara as well as the service and the quietness of the restaurant. We went there for lunch yesterday and were planning on having the Express lunch menu. When I booked the reservation on open table the express menu was right there for us to look at. When we got to the restaurant the waitress told us that that was no longer an option and hadn’t been an option for quite a while. We were disappointed and I feel that if people use social media you should keep that current so your customers do not come in and become disappointed in what you tell them is available when really it is not.
Excellent experience for a special night out. Food excellent. Wait Staff excellent. Expensive. Private Club feeling. memorable.
our waiter was very knowledgeable and was on spot with drinks, refilling our glass with water. food was excellent!
Upscale dining, delicious food, great service
I shared a holiday lunch with a colleague on a random Monday and the restaurant was beautifully decorated, clean and sleek looking. Their lunch menu is superb and offers great options. The lobster bisque and steak tacos were both exceptional. Kudos!
Great food, generous portions. Very comfortable chairs which is so rare lately in restaurants....along with quiet....we could actually talk and hear all at our table.
Nicest restaurant in Rochester
We ordered a calamari app first and then placed an order for lobster bisque to be followed by crab cakes. Instead of being staged as we asked, it came all at once. Calamari app was very good but a little cool. You’re trying to eat it all at once since its supposed to be hot, but I’d really prefer they staged it like we asked.
We were expecting an upscale breakfast similar to the lunches and dinners we have enjoyed at Pescara’s. We knew it was buffet but did not expect a hotel breakfast with box cereal & day old breads.
My mom and I ate at Pescara for breakfast; we were the only ones in the restaurant. I got waffles and she got pancakes. They were both delicious! The real maple syrup was fantastic and the orange juice and chocolate milk made my morning. The service was fantastic and we would definitely recommend eating here.
Always great food !! We love the side dishes, though this time there was a tuna special that was delicious!! The potatoes and the risotto are amazing and both soups we tried , lobster bisque and squash soup were perfect! Never disappointed!
We had a very enjoyable evening. Our waiter was outstanding, friendly with excellent suggestions of dining choices. I look forward to eating there again. We were celebrating our 48 wedding anniversary.
Great food and service
