My steak came out a little bit cool. It was a medium filet mignon. It made me long for a Ruth's Chris steak because it always comes out hotter than heck. Excellent waiter and service. He was very helpful in guiding us through the menu and made excellent suggestions. I would definitely come back. Just get the food out faster once it's done next time I'm there.
Thanks for a pleasant evening.
Took my mom here for lunch last week. I've been here before but she'd never been. Our meal was excellent and the service outstanding. Go here! :)
So Awesome! The food is excellent and the staff is friendly.
My waiter was outstanding. Even the guy who wasn't my waiter looked after me while I dined. The ahi tuna appetizer wass amazing.
very sad there was no lunch menu available that had the very reasonably cost items folks have come to love
my husband and I went here for new years eve and had an amazing experience! very knowledgeable staff. my husband had the grilled Minnesota rainbow trout and I had the sautéed sea bass and it was out of this world delicious and the best fish we've ever had period! I also really enjoy drinking cosmopolitans and it was by far the best one I've ever had as well! definitely will eat here again!
Excellent dinner on New Years Eve. Superb seafood.
They are noted for their fish. The oysters were good but the red snapper was terrible - not fresh and over cooked. For the price one expects much more.
Our favorite “fancy” dinner place. Little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Always.
Fabulous meal from start to finish! Appetizer sampler plate with crab cakes, fried calamari, sweet scallops, and shrimp is great for sharing and allows you to have a little taste of everything you don’t want to miss! Lobster Bisque is delectable. Have heard that they cook beef as well as they do seafood, so I decided to try the filet mignon. I ordered it rare as I knew I would only eat half and would reheat the leftovers. It was perfectly cooked and just melted in my mouth. Ended the holiday meal with shared desserts of flourless chocolate cake and creamer brûlée - perfect way to conclude our holiday celebration.
Went to Pescara for Christmas diner and found the food, service and ambiance outstanding . Diner could not have been better. Portion sizes were more than adequate and the quality of the cuisine was outstanding. Ours service was impeccable and to top it off the Executive Chef made his round to the tables to ensure that everything was excellent. We will return to this gem in Rochester again. Thanks Pescara!!
We went on Christmas day and the buffet was totally disappointing
It was almost down to nothing at 10am and we were told that there was no refill as there was a Christmas dinner starting at 12 noon (ridiculousl!)
We shouid have been informed earlier
The brunch buffet is misleading. It only has breakfast items.
Salmon was fishy. We mentioned it was not good. No compensation despite $200 spent fir 2 people
I frequent Pescara about once a month for lunch. Their specialty is seafood and my friends and my husband and I agree they have the best grilled walleye sandwich. They also have wonderful fish tacos. Generally, this restaurant is fairly quiet at lunchtime and a perfect place to have business lunches. During the holiday season they get much busier and the noise level increases. I've only eaten here once for dinner (scallops, rissotto and asparagus) and the flavors were amazing!! The servers bring you fresh bread and butter (amazing) at the beginning of your meal. All the wait staff are very attentive. I've only had really excellent service here.
The food was excellent. I had the walleye and my wife the crab salad. The Lobster Bisque was rich and very delicious. Our was friendly and wanting to help. (and a 5 star) I had the cheapest chardonnay (french) and it was quite good.
We’ve been to pescara before, it was good. We’d skip it next time unless we have a longer stay. The food was good-okay, but the service was just stupid slow. We spent two hours there and a lot of that was spent waiting. And I really hate being seated at the long booth with all the tables shoved too close together. No one likes this setup, right?! Especially when there were tons of open tables and booths- it was 5:30! Maybe they knew we’d be there until 7:40ish though?!
I will say that the couple we sort of had dinner with to our right ordered dessert and it looked really good, but we had an early appt the next day and didn’t have the time.
I hate that I sound like the guy we endured to our left who ordered his Basil Hayden’s with specifically 1 ice cube 🙄. It was just an average meal that took entirely too long, and there are better restaurants just as close.
Another excellent meal at Pescara. Food was delicious. We had Sal for the second time, he remembered us from the month before! He is a superb waiter. The professionalism is so appreciated.
We were 20 min late for our reservation due to visiting family at Mayo but the staff was wonderful at accommodating us. The server, Michael, was very attentive and friendly. Food was amazing and we’ll definitely be back.
We enjoyed our visit, thanks! Interior design was a bit cold, not very inviting. Very nice personnel.
Pescara is our go-to for special occasions. The food ,atmosphere, service, and ambience is outstanding.
The salmon was excellent along with the wild mushroom risotto. Excellent service.
Fresh Great risotto. Mussels were the highlight.
New items on the menu. The mussels were outstanding as was the walleye. The fish and chips with wild Alaskan cod was delicious—with two huge and tender shrimp to boot. This is our family’s favorite restaurant and Johnny is a great addition as executive chef. When we visit Rochester next we shall return!
Had thee most delicious Brunch! The made to order French Toast was fabulous. Others at our table had the waffles and they were equally as tasty~top it all off with a Mimosa and a cup of coffee~perfection💙
Lisa is Fantastic
The service was great but the snapper was overcooked.
Perfect food. Everything was lovely as far as staff and such. I simply do not like sitting right beside people to where there is absolutely no privacy. You basically here two conversations in addition to your own.
Less than impressed.
Good service, good food. Can be a bit noisy when the bar is busy. Seating a bit tight too. Food is a bit pricey and the servings small, which is expected from an up scale type of restaurant. Would return.
Birthday and gathering of friends!
Also I ended up leaving my cr card inadvertently and called the next day and they had it for me. Was happy for the professional service and care my card and a lovely gathering of friends!!
Pescara was a fun experience. The restaurant is beautiful, well located just a block away from the Mayo Clinic. The food was delicious, fresh and local, with great variety. Their fish was especially good and they had a local MN walleye that was well done (along with several other varieties - all flown in fresh or local). A colleague who lives on the east coast commented on how fresh and well prepared the seafood was. The ambiance was nice but a little loud for me - it is a smaller space and was jam-packed, so this makes sense. The service and pacing of the meal was excellent - our waiter was polite and attentive (not overly). The price was moderate - it wasn't as expensive as the same type of up-scale restaurant in Chicago or New York but I would say just as good. Overall, I would recommend you try Pescara if you are in the area! It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. It was a hit among my colleagues!
Simply horribly prepared food. Nice restaurant but really terrible food.
Chef made a mistake - 3 of my party got food . The other was so delayed the others had finished their meals before it arrived. I cancelled the order. Not very apologetic
I love Pescara and it’s conveniently located for the concert we were attending at the Civic Center. However, the food was quite a bit slower than usual in getting out. We got to our concert fine, but there wasn’t time for dessert-which seems silly, given that we were there 2 hours before the concert began. This is the 2nd time I’ve had Michael for my server and he is excellent!
The food was some of the best I’ve ever had! Trenton was more than helpful when helping me and my girlfriend find what we wanted to order. Food is expensive, but it is worth the money and I would pay for food that good ten times out of ten.
Great service, delicious food and amazing drinks! We'll definitely be back!
The food is expensive but worth every mouth watering bite! The tuna tartare, sea bass and Gouda hash browns were the best My husband and I have ever had.!! Our waiter made great wine and beer recommendations and his humor about The Packers was spot on! After being poked and prodded at Mayo Clinic it was a very relaxing and enjoyable night out!
Great experience! Had a business lunch and everything was to perfection!!
This place we really amazing! They have Gaja wine which is hard to find. My sister and I have been in Rochester for the week. We have enjoyed dinner 3 evenings in a row at Pescara. Two evenings in the dining room and one at the bar for dinner. Staff is very friendly and food is excellent!
You will see!
