The steak was tasteless although cooked perfectly. Cabs by the glass were $14 then $24 then $40. Only choices. The $14 cab wasn’t acceptable. I asked the waiter if he enjoyed it. He said he hadn’t tasted it. I asked for a sample. Not impressed. Scallops were good. Broccolini was not good. Hash’s browns were not good. Never had a chance to complain as my waiter never returned. Total disappointment.

My wife and I have eaten at Pescara a number of times on our visits to Mayo. It is one of our favorite restaurants. My most recent meal was the Shrimp Fra Diavolo. Full of flavor and a little heat, I am never disappointed with that dish. My wife had the smaller fillet. Great cut of meat, cooked to her liking. The Gouda hash browns that came with it were not as impressive. Probably could have substituted for a healthy vegetable. We’ve had breakfast here many times-always pleased.

Noise level was much too loud with no obvious background music. Host treated us like walk-ins despite having reservation & did not acknowledge the occasion we noted in reservation that we're celebrating. I told the server directly that we were celebrating husband's birthday but he neither said nor did anything. Food was not 5* - risotto was clumpy, stiff & undercooked; wild mushroom mix was just button & baby portabellas overcooked; fish was cooked ok but bland; crab on salad was overcooked & tasted watery, bread was ok taste but under baked. Nothing was unctuous, no umami. Overall not good value for money.

Service was impeccable. Food was delicious and interesting, including everything from the salad, wonderful bread, main course and dessert. Seafood is their specialty and is excellent. It is a bit pricey, but for a special occasion, or occasional treat is well worth the money. Seating was a bit close and noise level was moderate but not too high. We are locals and this restaurant is one of our top picks when we want a treat.

We are visiting from Boston for medical care. We didn’t have high expectations for food from a hotel near a hospital, and I thought my boyfriend was nuts for ordering scallops from a landlocked state (we New Englanders are particular about our seafood!). Well, I really underestimated this restaurant! It was absolutely excellent. The food was great, our bartender was attentive and friendly, and they were great about dietary restrictions due to a medical condition. My salmon was cooked so perfectly, with a nice crust on the outside. I love it!!

Andre was our server and he was fantastic. I loved that there was teamwork involving our experience. I honestly couldn’t have been more amazed by the service and the food. I’ve never had Arctic Char and it was so good! My girlfriend had the lobster and shrimp risotto and that was very good as well. I would also like to point out that Chad the bartender is the man! Loved this experience so much and can’t wait to eat here again!!!

The dish I ordered was shrimp and lobster risotto. The shrimp was very tasty but the risotto was blah, and the lobster had no flavor at all which was incredibly disappointing since I haven’t been to Pescara in many years. It will be many years before I go back again!
