Outstanding restaurants enjoyed it enough to return for a second night on our trip to Rochester.
Second opportunity to visit and as with the first this visit was outstanding. Our waitress Sally was excellent being always available but not pushing us along. Everything we tried from the appetizers to main course was spot on. Looking forward to my next visit to Rochester.
Pescara never fails. All food was cooked perfectly. Very knowledgeable, attentive waiter. Timely service. Excellent seafood, raw oysters, good wine section. No complaints. It was a high priced meal, but the excellence was worth every dollar spent.
This experience was much better then my last time at this restaurant where the halibut had to be sent back as it was terribly over cooked . This time we were there for lunch. My dining companion had the had the fish tacos which are always a big hit! I ordered the salad special of the day. It was a "fricassee of lettuce with 2 slices of avocado and 3 tiny pieces of crab". The entire meal could fit easily in the palm of my hand with an inch to spare o. Tasty but not worth the price (14$). I am not a big eater but this was not enough for me to have for lunch. I ended up ordering a side salad so I had enough to eat.
We come yearly for sure for mother's day. It's my only request and my family indulges me. Love the lobster bisque and the gouda hashbrowns on the brunch menu. Service has always been pleasant.
The quality of food has gone down hill the last year. Its not a favorite anymore. The service was slow again. We won't go back. Too much money for mediocre food.
The worst experience in my life. Even the service as the food was terrible. This was not my first time to go to Pescara and in the past months I liked the food I do not know what happen this time it was Saturday May 5,2018 but I am sure I will come back.
Awesome oatmeal pankackes
Beautiful place. I was watching the manager it was a Friday night. What focus she had to run a great business. Every thing was top notch. Classy too.
Excellent. Lunch selections are great value. Service is impeccable. Staff are very professional and friendly. Sister restaurant to Chesters so you know it’s going to be great!
Cocktails were served after the salads. Music was too loud and not in keeping with the ambiance of the restaurant. Main courses were delicious.
My husband and I made reservations at Pescara for my birthday. We also doctor at Mayo and we love trying new dining places in the area that people have recommended to us. We were treated with great service right when we walked in the door to the time we left. Our waiter was very helpful in finding a dish that we would like and he nailed it! Both our dinner choices were amazing. We both ordered dessert because it was my birthday and the waiter even placed a candle on my choice to make it extra special.
Great place for conversation and feeling relaxed after a long Mayo visit.
You will not be disappointed in Pescara...go check it out.
Absolutely wonderful!!! Special birthday treat was fabulous and very appreciated!!
Excellent! Very accommodating for food allergies. Food was perfect.
A little pricy but good food and able to carry on a private conversation
Excellent mixed green salad with beautifully tasty slightly tart balsamic vinegrette
I make sure to visit Pescara on my yearly trip to Rochester! It never disappoints!!
I was able to dine at Pescara twice this visit: once fish and the other time steak. As usual, their food is awesome. Especially the steak -- when I made my first cut into it, I exclaimed: "Oh, Mama!!"
The food and the service was great. The prices though, to high to justify going back. A piece of fish no matter how fresh it is is not worth $37 (with no sides).
Excellent food and service, but overpriced for what you receive
Good wine list
Some of the best seafood I've ever had. And yes it's in Rochester Minnesota.
We always have a great time
Great food, service EXCELLENT, our server was ver y good, loved his recommendations
The food is always amazing. Our waiter could have been a little more attentive. But all in all we love pescara.
The food quality has gone down. Very disappointing and unfortunate considering the price. Won't be going back anytime soon.
For a hotel brunch this was very tasty. The delivered from the kitchen waffles and pancakes were a nice option (loved the oatmeal pancakes). Not a lot of variety on the brunch line, but certainly enough that everyone in the group found something they liked. The bread pudding was kind of outrageously good and the mimosas and coffee were a treat as well
Pescara never disappoints and every time we are in Rochester, we make a point of going as frequently as possible. On our last visit, Trent was the perfect waiter and the food was delicious, fresh, hot and beautifully presented. I enjoyed the freshest Atlantic Striped Bass with marvelous mushroom risotto. My daughter always orders the filet and she is always pleased with her selection. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and great service. Upscale atmosphere
Seafood was fantastic...great ambiance...service is always top notch
This is our favorite restaurant in Rochester. The Lobster Bisque is out-of-this-world, and their scallops are the best anywhere. Salads are also excellent, and I appreciate that my husband and I can share one without being charged extra. Even the bread is better than average. The only area that could use improvement is their dessert menu; in my opinion it doesn’t show the creativity and “specialness” that the rest of the menu does. Service here is always excellent and I’ve never had to wait a long time. It’s spendy, but worth it.
Food and service above par, somewhat over priced for area . However options in town to have a good meal and able to carry on a conversation at a reasonable decibel level are limited. Overall worth the price for a nice night out.
Not great first impressions. First, I asked twice in the reservation to have a wine list sent to me before dining; never happened; no communication. Second, the coat room is packed with furniture and a mess. Then of course, after informing both hostesses of my name and reservation time and that I was going to the bar to have a cocktail while I wait for my table to open (I was 45 minutes early), and both hostesses forgetting and subsequently cancelling my reservation, I was ready to leave and go elsewhere. It didn't help that the hostess was trying to laugh off their mistake. I didn't find it funny. My reservation was 8:30 and at 8:50 I finally approached the hostesses to ask when they were going to seat me. That's when they realized their mistake. Fortunately, Nathan, the server was a rock star. Food was great, service was great. Still have a bad taste in my mouth due to hostess team. It again, didn't help the next day when I called for a to-go order and I sat on hold for 10 minutes before I finally hung up and called back. Then was told by the server that the tuna appetizer was not allowed to served to-go because it was raw, and "the Minnesota Department of Health doesn't allow us to sell raw meats". Not true. Number one, that's Pescara's policy, not the department of health. I order sushi twice a week raw fish. And, to-go orders are charged $1 per container for "environmental fees" which I find ridiculous. Not sure I'll be back. Nathan was great, but there's a lot of restaurants in town. Disappointing overall.
Food and service was great. Could have come out a little faster. 2.5 hours for a few appetizers and main course was a bit long.
We had a nice lunch but were seated at a very small table crowded against a wall (pillar?) and so close to the couple/table next to us. Walleye was marginal in satisfaction.
Very good dining experience. Great food and service. A bit overpriced.
Kiefer was a phenomenal server. My steak was over cooked but my companions greatly enjoyed their seafood dishes.
It was an anniversary dinner and we had a pleasant evening. Did not get requested booth but got decent seating. Service was good. Wine advise helpful but wine uninspiring. Brussels sprouts way overloaded with chunks of ham. We remembered crisp prosciutto. Fish and scallops excellent. No complaints but not memorable.
Always great for special occasions......we had a lovely quiet booth for our anniversary dinner. Service was attentive without hovering. The tuna tartare was perfection (as always) and the scallops nicely seared without being over cooked.
Excellent food. Truly enjoyed everything that we had.
The food was very good. The service was excellent. A very nice setting for romantic date.
