Personas Patio + Restaurant + Lounge Ratings and Reviews
Having a band after dinner was great. Unfortunately the menu did not specify all ingredients in a sandwich we ordered and someone had alkergies to one of the items. The waitress seemed annoyed by this and after too long of a dialogue she took it back but informed us it would be a long wait for another one, we thought this was unprofessional and not helpful.
We then decided to speak to the management who did apologize and send a round of drinks. We were still charged for the sandwich which we didn't agree with and by the time it arrived we were not hungry anymore.
While the patio was beautiful, the rest of the evening was not. It took ten minutes to get a drink menu and another 20 to get our order taken. The drinks we ordered were sour, and not what was in the menu and when we sent them back and ordered different ones, each time our waiter came to tell us they were out. At 5:30 pm.
We ordered a seared tuna salad, sushi tacos and wok squid. The tuna was overcooked and tough, the tuna in the sushi tacos tasted and looked like canned, and the squid was 95% batter. The only saving grace was the sambal to dip it in.
We were charged for the drinks we sent back and no discount was given after we told them the food, drinks and wait times were not satisfactory. I would not return here.
We had a lovely dinner celebrating a birthday. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. Unfortunately I forgot about the playoffs for hockey and basketball. All the TV's were on, and most of the patrons were there to watch the games, so it was quite noisy.
We would choose the restaurant again however we'd make sure it was a quieter sports night.
Had a great stake wonderful best ever! But be cairfull with the potatoes so hot I burnt my roof of my mouth in three places it blistered so fast thank goodness I had cold water but the potatoes were really good too. I had it again today stake great again and the potatoes not so hot but really good.
The food portion suddenly smaller today - just enough today as we had a special afternoon tea event after that. The chef (who may be new) missed to put the fruits (as listed in the menu) on the plate. Luckily the good server quickly fixed it for us. Highly appreciated.
We got there and right away the waitress asked if we wanted any drinks. But we were still waiting for a few more girls so we said we'd wait. Then when the next few girls came, right away the waitress asked again if we wanted any drinks when we haven't even seen the menu yet. It felt like we were being rushed even though the restaurant was empty. We decided to do dine out and we noticed on the dine out site the menu listed soup with grilled cheese. But on the actual menu it was just soup. So we were kinda upset of the false information on the online dine out menu. Then, we found out they ran out of the cheese cake dessert so we could either get mini donuts or substitute the cheese cake for lime pie. We ordered donuts.. however, the waitress then comes back saying they ran out of donuts. It was a pretty disappointing meal. My friend order the steak medium rare. And when the food came her steak was well done. We told the waitress and she took it back and made a new one. She then comes back and we cut into the steak and it was so raw and bloody, it was cold in the middle. We were pretty upset with this. The food was dry and bland. The dessert wasn't that great either. I don't think I'll be coming back to this restaurant unfortunately.
I feel that on the weekend that people have reserved seating for there evening and the people have reserved seating and they have bought food and drinks and are there for the evening out.
We find that lots of people are aloud into the bar with no seating space they put their clothing on the stage they don't have a seat and start using setting that they should not be using
If they get a drink they take it on the dance floor with them and use the stage as their table.
I never see a sign that says full like the other casino bars do. Its like a free for all.
Would not repeat. Uncomfortable chairs and tables, crowded, busy, tiny meal portions. Not the best service (had to wait an extremely long time for food and drinks) Great TVs and the steak and chicken and mashed potatoes were awesome but definately not worth the money. Had to go to mcdonalds after to satisfy our appetities.
Went to Personas for dinner. Date night. We wanted to try the wok squid as an appetizer. Our waiter John was very helpful and persuasive recommending the 10oz Double cut Porkchop for my husband who had already decided on the full breast blackened chicken when he looked at the menu. I had already picked the porkchop. I did have thoughts that it could be overdone and dry being such a thick cut of meat to cook properly. Much to our happy surprise BOTH were cooked to perfection. Every bite was tender & juicy. The mashed potato was wrapped in a phyllo pastry which gave it a lovely rich added texture. There was a vegetable accompaniment of yellow beets and green beans. There was a scoop of pulled pork to add some sweetness as well. Found the dish to be appetizing and visually appealing. Kudos to the kitchen!!!! We will most definitely return to try the other menu items in the future. We managed to work off our dinner by shaking our groove on the dance floor to the live band at 9pm.
My husband and I met up with friends on a Wednesday night. The food was good; great variety and the staff were attentive. But I think what really made our evening was the dueling pianos. Both guys (Richard and Andre) were very entertaining. Richard worked the room and got everybody involved in the fun. A great night was had by all and we will definitely be returning in the near future.
