Persian Room Ratings and Reviews
First time dining. No valet parking and limited number of spaces. Parked in another business lot. Arrived 15 minutes before confirmed reservation and waited 15 minuets are reserved time ti be seated. Mob scene at reservation desk. Service was slow. Took too long to order and waited almost 45 minutes to receive entrees ordered. The food, once it arrived was very good, unusual and plentiful. My shish kabob was excellent. The bread devine. So once the order did arrive it made it all worth it, Would definitely give this restaurant another shot.
Excellent Middle Eastern fare. Healthy (and healthful) portions with attentive service. Flatbread served with basil to start the meal is nearly worth the price of admission. The rice options are fantastic. My favorite - Veggie Kabob - is expertly grilled and quite tasty. Service and ambiance are first rate, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend for out-of-town guests.
Was excited to try the Persian Room for some time and was not disappointed. The food is excellent! Highly recommend. I ordered the filet mignon and my date had the mahi-mahi. We both had the rice with lentils, raisins and dates. The mahi-mahi was excellent, grilled perfectly- the fish was clean tasting, not over cooked and was a huge portion (12 ounces according to the menu and it looked it). The filet mignon was grilled as well in small strips and was tender, juicy and moist. The rice, oh the rice! Outstanding, that alone could have been my meal! Huge dates adorned the dish mixed with lentils and currants. It was beautifully blended in with the saffron rice- not heavy at all. The other thing that brought the meal together was a basket of warm pita bread and a plate with sliced onion, butter and an ample pile of basil leaves. After instructions from our waitress, you spread butter on the bread, place slices of onion, basil and sprinkle “sumac” (a spice that had hints of lemon) and roll it up and eat this before and during your meal....Excellent!
If you were invited here by friends or associates and had no idea what the cost of the menu items were you would believe you were in a very expensive and exclusive restaurant, such is the level of service and cuisine offered. The food is absolutely exquisite, the service exceptional. In my younger years I have had the opportunity o dine at some top tier restaurants in this country and Europe. This one easily ranks among the top ten, at a raction of the price!
We were fitted where there were two parties going on and the noise level was very loud--long tables against each wall--at least 12 persons at each table than the center of the room held 4 tables to accommodate up to 4 people each
Our suggestion is not to place persons not involved with these celebrations in the same room--we were bumped by people coming in and greeting the celebrants, then chairs moved into our sitting area, there was a couple who requested to move their seats closer to where we were seating but even then their more was not anymore accommodating. This was Sunday evening 14JAN18 at 5:30pm we could not wait for our food to be served, eat and leave. Otherwise the waiter was ok nothing like Michael's attentiveness--he is their best waiter---food was very good--the appetizer plate was missing the Cilantro--the restaurant was too busy to request any.
Mike our Service Person was attentive and very helpful. This was our first visit and need some guidance on selections. My Wife's dish was excellent, mine was good but not great. We both enjoyed the bread and fresh veg and herb dish. The champagne selection was limited but the entry level was as excellent as Mike claimed it. Overall we enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to our next visit.
My friends and I were in Scottsdale for a golf trip and enjoyed our meal so much we came back again later in the week. Everything was very tasty but our favorite was the Ghormeh Sabzi over tadig and the Koobideh. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in the area!
My husband and I have never been disappointed eating at the Persian Room.
The food is outstanding and so is its presentation. The meat and chicken is so tender it melts in your mouth, the fragrant rice done just right, comes to your table steaming hot. The appetizers, especially the kashk bademjan is out of this world; the fresh bread and sabzi plate make the dining experience special. Love the bamieh and the Persian ice cream! We have recommended the PR to many of our friends, brought many friends to dine with us, who in turn have become regular customers. Keep up the good work! The Persian Room is one of the best Persian restaurants I have been to and I have been to many, in different countries.
One of our favorites! Took the family and mom-in-law (her first time). Service, food, and ambiance was excellent as usual. The Persian Room Special is one of the best dining values anywhere (its huge and can easily feed 3-4), not to mention everything is delicious! The Persian Room is a “must go there” establishment when you’re in North Scottsdale!
Great food, great atmosphere, a Persian delight. We went for my wife's birthday and drove down from the Prescott area because she likes all kinds of ethnic foods. She said this was the best Persian food she's ever had. The restaurant is fancy but still casual, busy but not loud, with very attentive service
Persian Room is outstanding. We drive 65 miles one way at least twice a winter. We are never disappointed! Except for a Persian home cooked meal, no one can beat the extraordinary flavors of food at the Persian Room! Everywhere we travel, we speak about the awesome cuisine st the Persian Room in Scottsdale!
Our first time here and I don't know why we waited so long. Delicious food from beginning to end with so much food there was another meal to enjoy at home the next day for each of us. We'll definitely return -- this time I'm going to try a traditional meal.
