We look forward to seeing you!
Service was prompt and friendly. Food was warm but not hot. Leg of lamb was okay but chewy.
Celebrated my birthday there and could not have been happier.
They went above and beyond in every aspect.
The staff is wonderful! Always accomodating and nice.
Authentic Persian dishes. Ample dishes. Nice variety of chicken, lamb and seafood.
The price fix special is a great deal. We enjoyed ourselves and will go back.
Outstanding food and service!! Can't wait to go back
Wonderful experience for a birthday dinner for 6. Everything was delicious, and the service was attentive and unobtrusive. Persepolis will become a go-to for us.
Lovely. Just Lovely. Highly recommend. Terrific service. Clean environment. Beautifully presented tasty food.
I used to go to the Persepolis very often - it's just around the corner - but it has become too expensive (every time I go, the price for the same things are higher) and it is simply too noisy. The staff refuses to try to quiet the customers down and the clientele has changed from reasonably considerate middle-aged diners to a crowd of millenials who grew up with ear-phone plugs in their ears , are semi-deaf as a result, and think they have to shout to be heard and do so without any thought of the disturbance they cause.
I love the food but I can not stand the noise. I'll have to find another place with the same kind of food and more control over its clientele.
This was a wonderful new treat with excellent dishes we had never had before. Will certainly come back for a dinner. And lunch was very quiet and therefore quite enjoyable.
I've come here many times, I still enjoy it - the fessenjan is a delight, and the wines by the glass are a real bargain for NYC. Now, this last time, we went "à la carte" and didn't choose our dishes in the prix-fixe $19 menu, and it ended up pretty steep at $140-ish for 3 people. Good, but the value for money definitely falls when you don't go for prix-fixe.
Food mediocre. No longer authentic. Some hodgepodge with the recipes of Iran but not the skill, touch or ingredients properly done. Also crowded tables and when people showed up they brought more tables and chairs squeezing them into the area. Unpleasant
I am marry with a Persian men and I know very good about the food but the food wasn't good enough also the menu is not completely Persian I ordered the crunchy rice they didn't have it we wanted Persian ice cream they didn't have it I wanted lamb chops they didn't have it so I was so disappointed
Food was fine. We had appetizers which were ok, and the main courses were ok too. The reccomended lamb shank was ot the best lamb shank id ever had but was fine, the best main course we had was one of the vegaterian eggplant dishes, and a simple grilled chicken kabob. Overall
Service was very nice, and the restaurant was well priced.
This was a first visit for four of us. We would return again. We thoroughly enjoyed the pineapple salad, saffron chicken with both sour cherry rice and lentil & raisin rice. One of our party was slightly less enthusiastic about the lamb shank. One had vegetarian Gaimeh Badamjan, which she liked very much. The portions are generous - enough to take home for a second meal. The prices are reasonable, and our server was very pleasant and informative. All in all, we had no complaints and are pleased with our discovery of this restaurant. Don’t miss out on the Persian cotton candy.
Excellent food and good service.
Uniquely Persian as opposed to another Mediterranean or Greek restaurant. Flavors wonderful, lamb shank tender and juicy. Kebabs plentiful. Rice choices very interesting including cherry, lentils, fava beans etc.
Service helpful. Beef stew delicious. Noise level low
Great Persian food. The sour cherry rice is not to be missed
Great service and food ina homely and comfortable environment
AVERAGE FOOD AND EXPERIENCE. THE FOOD IS STEADY BUT NIOT SPECTACULAR
The food was delicious. The service was excellent. I will bring my friend Mehran from Iran the next time he visits.
Great food and restaurant. Used it x years!
It was loud, but that's just because we were sitting outside. I didnt mind it
We will keep returning to this restaurant for the excellent food and terrific service. Once you learn to navigate the menu and the large portions, it is a great place to eat.
Very good experience, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and attentive. I certainly recommand Persepolis for a good persian dish.
If they like Persian food I’ll send them your way. I did not like the food, but my friends loved it. It’s an acquired taste
Delicious food. Good value.
We had a wonderful time. The Martini glasses are super sized- so that started us out in good spirits. ( pun intended ) The noise level was perfect for talking and we ended up staying at the restaurant for over 2 hours! The food was very good.
Excellent food! Good for share food so you can enjoy variety of dishes.
Beautiful restaurant with an excellent staff. The food is delicious. We stuck to the pasta, the primi piatti, because the main courses are pricey, as one would expect at such an elegant place. We were surprised that sound reverberated as much as it did in the dining room. The room is spacious, the design calming, but we found it difficult to hear each other.
Over a $100 for two simple meals (and no hors d'oeuvres) for two people, one of them being vegetarian? Too expensive. The bread was stale and warmed up several times, it seemed. One item had to be sent back and cancelled as it was microwaved and soggy instead of crisp and fresh (and arrived at the end of the meal, instead of the beginning). I was so embarrassed in front of my aged friend who had trusted my choice of restaurant.
I had been to this restaurant before, and except for the unreasonable pricines, all was fine, tasty and fresh. This time, the only thing still there was the priciness. I am disappointed. But, will give another chance and go back, to see if this was a fluke or is it a new trend for a downhill spiral.
everything was delicious! even had some leftovers for lunch the next day. Everything was so fresh, and the service was very pleasant and fast.
nothing special about this place.
It is reasonably priced, but food and a service- not much to talk about
This was a very pleasant surprise. My wife and I have walked past this restaurant for years without stopping in. The food is delicious and the portions are more than ample. My wide had the salmon kebab with three different types of rice. I had the lemon chicken. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable.
I have been to this restaurant many times because I frequently work in the area. I have been here by myself, with family and with smaller and larger groups of colleagues. Every meal has been terrific. The service is always top notch. The food is reliably delicious. To me, some of the best hummus in New York; the salads, eggplant appetizers and yogurt dishes are fresh and tasty. I'm not sure I can say that I've had everything on the menu, but I've had almost all the "kabob" type dishes and some of the more stew-like offerings. My favorite is the beef kubideh on a skewer which is richly flavored and incredibly tender. Perhaps my favorite thing on the menu is the sour cherry rice, but they have now I believe five different kinds of rice, all wonderful. Finally, some of the bread is made in their own wood-burning over (they also serve whole wheat pita) and that's a treat. Again, I've probably been here more than 30 times.
Food was excellent in a very relaxed atmosphere. Service was very friendly and efficient.
Restaurant was well cared for as well.
Average. Nothing special but nothing bad.
I used to live in Iran as a child and wanted to introduce my husband to Persian cuisine. The place was empty and service ok. Food was quite tasty but the bread served was not nan and the eggplant dip did not taste authentic.
