Persepolis Is a Persian/ Mediterranean restaurant with a dynamic atmosphere and 20 years of experience! The restaurant is famous for verity of kebabs and refreshing salads and gently spiced grilled meats. The yogurt and cucumber blended with a little mint is made exceedingly well and is an ideal cool compliment to Persepolis’ rounds of Pita & Barbari bread. Our kebabs which include moist and delicious salmon or saffron chicken are served without heavy sauces. Instead they are served with a choice of four rices including an intriguing blend of Basmati rice and marinated sour cherries. Our personalized wine list truly compliments our cuisine. We also offer a full classic bar.

                                                                                                                                                Our family group gathered from afar for lunch - the staff was wonderfully attentive; the menu is varied and interesting - each of was able to choose something we’ve never had before as well as some familiar comfort options and everything was delicious; we were able to take advantage of the special lunch pre fixed price; the restaurant was not crowded at all and we were able to linger and chat. We have been here many times and will continue to choose Persepolis for regular and special occasions.

                                                                                                                                                In my opinion this is by far the best Persian restaurant on the East Coast, certainly in New York. The hospitality by the staff, the food and the ‘bistro ambiance’ is fantastic. We have been visiting Persepolis for more than two decades, last night was a highlight. We had a chance to meet the Chef who brought us a basket of freshly baked bread that complemented his cuisine beautifully. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had the lamb and grilled shrimp, both were fantastic we also had saffron ice cream, saffron cotton, candy, and baklava for dessert – the desserts are terrific - beautiful flavors!

                                                                                                                                                We’ve been to Persepolis many times and it has been consistently good over the years. The food is very flavorful, well prepared and well seasoned. There is a good variety to choose from and some nice combo platters. It’s reasonably priced for Manhattan and the management is quite nice. I really never tire of eating here.

                                                                                                                                                Very generous portions of beautifully prepared Persian fare. We tried a few things we had never heard of before, and all were delicious. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The wine list was simple but well considered. We were more than happy with the bottle we chose, it drank well above its price point. A delicious meal. Thank you!

Delicious food and plenty of it. Great prices, e.g. three-course, pre-fixe lunch for $25. An upper east side gem.
