The Maitre de was lovely. The waiter was sweet with a great and courteous smile. Food excellent!!
It was a nice neighborhood eatery. Nice decor and seating. Friendly staff and good service and the food was well done with many options for everyone.
We were looking for authentic Persian food and we were not disappointed. The menu is fabulous with great choices. And the service was excellent. They honored our reservation and we can’t wait to go back.
We loved our food and it accommodates all our food issues. Vegetarian. Celiac. Carnivore. Food was delicious.
Great take on Persian cuisine with creative spins on Middle Eastern classics. Particularly liked the way standards — eggplant dip; yogurt — were offered in three versions, each with distinct herbs, spices and flavors. Order the eggplant trio with samples of each. The 5 versions of rice were also well thought out. My wife had the Lemon Butter Chicken which had moist pieces of chicken breast in a mouth-watering sauce. I ordered the Lamb Shish Kabob which was OK but probably the least interesting part of the meal. We would definitely go back — I’m sure many times.
First visit but will come back! Excellent food and service, unrushed. A pleasure.
A charming neighborhood restaurant with a friendly staff and varied menu.
The food and the atmosphere were really great, and the service was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Persian New Year. Restaurant was decorated in balloons and the traditional Noruz table. Service was good, food was abundant and delicious.
Neither fresh nor creative cuisine. Everything served was lukewarm as if the kitchen was just plain tired. Disappointing given positive recommendations on-line.
A family staple, we drive over from the west side. Lovely staff, food is very authentic and consistently good. Family favorite is “Koo-bi-day” - ground beef skewers, and the stews ( some vegetarian).
One of the best restaurants I have been to in manhattan. The food and service are top notch. The owner is very friendly and always willing to accommodate
Excellent food. Probably the best Persian food I have ever had.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE DINED HERE. WE LOVED THE MEAL. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. MAKE A RESERVATION. IT IS A BUSY PLACE.
Great neighborhood restaurant with great food and service
Great food, service and atmosphere.
I had rack of lamb with herbs and saffon. Tender and delicious. It came with couscous and veggie. Very good baba as appetizer and a good italian wine (Montepulciano) along made the evening very enjoyable.
Overpriced for holiday Valentine’s Day food was far Below what we are usually serve there the lamb was over marinated and overcooked
Was and is always great. Terrific and interesting food at a very affordable price. A neighborhood gem.
Great food, in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The server was knowledgeable and attentive. The eggplant trio appetizer was delicious. The lamb was perfectly cooked and delicious
The food was extremely tasty, well prepared and enjoyed by all - even the friend who’s familiar with Iranian food. I’ll go back.
Great time. Food was good and fairly priced.
The night started out great at first; our server was very nice when we first sat down and got the menus. The food was good however, it was kind of a bummer that I had to wait almost till the end of my meal for one of my side orders. The reason I was upset with our experience was because my friend found a long brown hair in her food; and when we told the server he accused her of putting her own hair in the food and then started to accuse the rest of us for putting the hair in there. My friend has very short blond hair and the rest of us girls had our hair up during our meal; he did not apologize for accusing us.
Christmas Eve dinner
Excellent Thai food -enjoyed the different rices, especiallly the wour cherry one. Grilled meats outstanding and sauces superb. Not great vegetarian main course options.
Was not as good as b4 they no longer hv almond rice and good was not as good
Hit the spot in every way! We enjoyed the yogurt trio and the hummus (even though I filled up on delicious bread) salmon/lamb/beef kebab and sour cherry rice were delish!
Had the caspian and eggplant halim. Both super tasty! Finished with the lemon sorbet and rose saffron ice cream - so tasty!
Good food, good value for the lunch special. Service and ambience were very nice. Would definitely return.
Very interesting and delicious food in generous portions. Warm, helpful staff.
I haven't had much experience with Persian food and was delighted to happen upon this restaurant.
Very much enjoyed the food and intend to return to sample some more of their menu. (Since NYC has sooo many restaurants, I rarely return to a restaurant, so this is a compliment to them :) )
Every time I can I hightail it to Persepolis. The food is superb and the staff friendly and helpful. The only problem is I want to order far more than I can eat. I wish they'd clone this great restaurant.
I have been missing their dill rice and cherry rice for years, and finally got to return to Persepolis. Hooray! Be ready for hearty and authentic Persian cuisine, with excellent service. And don't miss the "cotton candy" dessert!
Did not have Real Persian bread which is really a major part of the Persian meal experience. Taste was nice but not really as interesting as other Persian restaurants.
We were staying in the neighborhood and Persepolis was recommended to us. It did not disappoint. Food, service and value all were good. Staff were very accommodating and everything was fresh and tasty.
Went with friends. We all enjoyed our meals and agreed good food, easy attentive service with very fair/affordable prices.
Every time I eat here I wonder why I don't come more often. The food was soooo good and excellent service. I like ordering family style and sharing. Here's what we shared: the salad trio and the yoghurt trio for appetizer. It comes with plenty of warm bread. I also love the kashk bademjan, which is an eggplant appetizer. For main course, we had the marinated chicken breast kabob and ground beef kabob, with both white rice and cherry rice. We ordered sides of grilled onion and the torshi, which is pickled vegetables. We also ordered the fesenjan on tahdig - crispy rice. Fesenjan is very popular with Americans who eat Persian food. It's made with ground walnuts and pomegranate and has chicken. What a delicious feast! My tip: eat very little earlier in the day, because everything is so good!
Persepolis is always friendly and dependable. Service is very good and the cuisine is both delicious and healthy.
Great menu, reasonably priced and yummy Persian food
The four of us loved the food. There are various kinds of rice. I had the one with sour cherries. I loved my lamb shank. We had a trio of eggplant purees , each one different and a trio of salads. The waiter suggested crispy rice with cooked herbs and fava beans on top that is not on the menu but Persians know to order. We loved that. Prices were gentle.
