Enjoyed the evening
Everything was fine until I made the mistake of ordering the Nutty D’angelo flambé. Waited and waited. The cooktop was rolled out and left.
Waited and waited. Finally I told our server we would have to cancel the dessert because the wait was too long. Other table guests who didn’t order flambé were served. Still waiting for flambé. Server said the cooktop operator would be there right away. Waited some more. Will never order flambe dessert again.
We eat here often but this trip our waiter seemed busy with others most of our visit. The side of spinach was terrible and the pork chop was not up to par. Typically everything is wonderful but this trip it seemed everything was off. I guess they can’t be perfect every time.
I’ve been to Perry’s on a number of different occasions, but this was my date’s first time. Her fillet was over cooked and we had to wait an extended amount of time for a number of requested items (straws, steak knives, etc.). This wasn’t the Perry’s experience that I’m accustomed to having.
Amazing as always we love you guys!!!
From the fresh rose petals waiting on our table to the tasty dessert Perry’s made our anniversary celebration extra special!
We enjoyed the experience of spending our 20th anniversary at our favorite restaurant
WOW !! Service was excellent and the food off the chain. Best lobster tempura I’ve ever had. The pork chop exceeded my expectations from other reviews. Can’t wait to go back
Outstandingly delicious as always!
Very good service and food outstanding!
Exquisite food, outstanding service and extraordinary ambient with an unique style.
We had a very enjoyable evening. We arrived at the time of reservation and were promptly seated. The servers were very pleasant and the food was outstanding.
Excellent service combined with great food made this an excellent way for hubby and I to celebrate our 45th anniversary. Our server Crystal was attentive and pleasant. The floor manager Timothy stopped by to wish us a happy anniversary. Perry’s in Birmingham is my “happy place” and is especially so during these challenging times! Excellent protocols in place for COVID issues. We enjoyed the fillet steaks with crab and one was a special with crab cake and a yummy wedge salad and glasses of house wine. The dessert trio was a perfect ending to our anniversary dinner. Thanks Perry’s!
"Outstanding" service and food experience(Rocky Road Bread Pudding the best and crab cakes delicious)
Our experience was awesome! Service was good and we were accommodated with all our requests.
Everything was great, the only thing to complain about was the outside seating was rather cold. The fireplaces were usually covered by folks from the bar wanting to go outside. Thus depriving the ppl outside of the ambiance and the warms from the fires. The food was great, the service was great. It was just a bit cold outside.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding your recent dining experience at Perry's Steakhouse and Grille in Birmingham. We are excited to share that we will be adding some additional heaters to our patio to make it toasty for everyone! We look forward to seeing you again soon so that we may provide another "Rare and Well Done" dining experience! Warm Regards, Suzanne Cisneros, General Manager
We were there for nearly 3 hours! Our Waiter came to our table 3 times in that period and one of those times was to bring the check. Other wait staff jumped in when they saw us sitting with empty plates and glasses and we saw them telling him what we ordered or requested. We eat out two to three times a week and this is exactly what will cause us not to come back, even though the food was prepared to perfection. I never complain about a restaurant experience, but rather just make a note to self that we won't be going back. However, we were so abandoned, it almost became silly.
We would have ordered at least two more cocktails each in that period, if we had been waited on.
Home closing and birthday... 2 in 1.
Excellent steak! Sides were very tasty, good selection. Highly recommend.
I loved eating at Perry’s! The service was great, and the food was even better. Our waiter was so polite to us!
Perry’s is a restaurant I would go for the experience. The food wasn’t something I would come back for. Drinks were good. Wish our waiter would’ve came to our table more than he did. Overall, it was ok
Ron was amazing!
All the food was excellent and prepared as ordered.
Great leisurely lunch. Waiter was attentive, didn't rush us. food was great. Excellent wine list.
Samantha is the best.
The pork chop was awesome as always. The lunch pork chop is the best value around. Run, don't walk, to experience this wonderful meal.
The food and service was excellent. I will definitely return to try more dishes.
Rose petals on our table. Great service and we received a free dessert. Delicious food. Try the Creme Brûlée!
Went for my husband’s birthday and everything was perfect !
Had a first date at my favorite place and it was perfect!!
We enjoyed Perry’s. It was my son’s birthday and they were nice to give him a complimentary dessert. The food was very good! It is a little pricey but they give you enough food that you could spilt it with someone. The pork chop was fantastic! The only thing that could have been better could have been the service. It was a little slow but they were very crowded.
The steak and the pork chop were fabulous. The meat is well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sides are just bland and blah. They are lacking variety and flavor. The lobster Mac n cheese literally seems like noodles with some mozzarella melted on top. There is no sauce or creaminess to it. Very disappointing. The Caesar salads are excellent with great texture and flavors. The dessert trio is one bite of each item and not much to it. The flourless chocolate cake is like what you get on a cruise ship. It looks great and you expect some great flavor but then you take a bite and it’s just meh. For the price, the experience is just ok. There was a lady who had clearly had too much to drink at another table who was basically screaming our entire meal. At some point, staff should have asked her to chill. That did not happen. I might go here again for lunch or with friends if I had no say in where we are going. Definitely wouldn’t choose it for date night as a first preference ever again.
Wonderful as always. We love the pork chop and celebrating at Perry’s.
The experience was delightful and reasonably priced for fine dining.
Only thing that was not up to par was the wait when we got to the restaurant.
I had made reservations for my wife’s birthday.
Reservation was for 8:00pm.
We arrived at 7:50 and had to wait until almost 8:15-8:20 for the table.
Like I said not a huge deal but what is the purpose of making reservations and being on time for them when a party that was a walk in, after we arrived, was seated about 5 mins after us.
But I still tipped the customary 20% for a meal =$220.00.
The food was outstanding as always
Great. Suzanne was fabulous
We scheduled a 7:15 reservation and were not seated until close to 8:00...and it was chaos let me tell you. The lobby was packed with people and no effort by the staff to clear the masses or police any lack of social distancing. They were clearly over booked and had no answers to resolve the problem. I really had to stress the inconvenience in order to be seated when we were.
We expect more than this level of experience when we decide to celebrate an evening together. We feel fortunate to be one of the few locations Perry’s has in their company but there are other options to try in Birmingham and we will next time.
Our server was super sweet and made our dinner, once seated, very pleasant. The food was excellent. The general manager did buy us a round when we were seated which was very nice but wasn’t necessary.
First anniversary with my girlfriend. They had rose petals on the table and treated us to a trio sampler dessert. It was a wonderful dining experience, and the food was beyond excellent.
