For our group of seven who have been breakfasting together for 40+ years, Perry's was a good place to be. The food was very good, the server unobtrusive and there when needed, and the noise level low, as befits late Sunday mornings. Upon arrival, the hostess told us we were to be seated at a "high table", which we declined, as several of us have mobility issues. This change was managed swiftly. The hostess made sure a lost glove was returned to one of us, which involved her chasing after us after we left-- she could have easily not done so. We appreciated it!
This is a very good option for a good weekend brunch with a waterfront view without having to wait in line. While the food is solid, it is not spectacular. The potatoes are good. The eggs Benedict are descent. The best breakfast dish was corned beef hash with porched eggs. I will get that next time. Some negatives are no greetings upon arrival. For a block long depth restaurant, there is only one Maitre'D, so I noticed while I myself waited that many customers wondered what to do a bit when she disapeared taking other customers to a table in the back. Nobody really greets you besides one Maitre'D. One of the French toasts was burnt. Our waitress didn't notice until we pointed the burnt part on the plate to her which was quite obvious. Instead of leaving the plate and let us continue eating good pieces (she knew we ordered it to share) and bring one good toast she took the plate away and returned with freshly made unburnt French Toasts when we were almost done with our breakfast. It took a while. It's not her fault but it made me think no quality control to begin with, no priority to customer service in mind overall. But I will go back and I will suggest this restaurant if you do not want to wait in line for a long time for a Sunday brunch.
The Poke was so good that we went back two days later for more.
Nice place for a quick dinner, we had the Poke appetizer and it was very tasty and a good amount as well. The only thing I would have change is that we got our entrees halfway through our appetizer, other than that everything was great.
Great place for drinks and a nice dinner fun r v day
Perry's is a reliable venue for special occasion and celebration meals, and a place we have returned to many times, both with old friends and new business colleagues. Outstanding views of the Bay Bridge, a good wine list, a menu with comfort food and new tastes, and with consistently friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Shhhhh don't let the secret out on Perry's. No one is supposed to know they offer fantastic views of the Bay Bridge and terrific comfort food. The servers are just awesome human beings - so considerate and try to accommodate any request without complaint. Tip them well! This place is especially great for your Midwest relatives who don't want anything "too fancy" and might otherwise be intimidated by, say, a deconstructed salmon tartate with molecular chive foam. You're not going to find a lot of pretensions at Perry's - just terrific comfort food, a great view and friendly service.
Food excellent, very lively bar scene. If you want a quieter atmosphere sit at the back tables facing the Embarcadero or the large booths in the middle of the restaurant. Especially likete sliders and the calamari. Both are good for sharing.
I really loved this place. Loved the vibe. Staff was nice. Food was good. I had beet & arugula salad which was tasty. My hubby had the tomato bisque and roasted chicken - both were delicious.
Great place to visit after a lecture at the Commonwealth Club. Roomy booths, friendly staff, comfortable food.
Love Perry and Aldis at the helm! Great help and always friendly! Love it!
One of my "go to" places in The City. Good food, service and social atmosphere.
Food was decent. Some weren’t too happy in our group- others satisfied. Went for brunch and had two egg dishes, coffee, cappuccino and my niece had the Mac and cheese which she loved.
The house-made veggie burger (not too heavy) was excellent, as was the beet/arugula salad. The chili needs work--tasteless and not enough beans.
I’m pretty sure our server forgot to put in our order. Everyone around us was eating and we arrived before them. By the time we flagged down our waiter, he again asked what we ordered and then went to the computers. We each had salad - no reason for it to take nearly an hour. Honest mistakes happen - just not ideal for a business lunch.
This is a great sit down restaurant that won't break the bank. A wonderful place to celebrate a coworker's birthday and the menu offers a large variety.
There were 9 of us and we were seated at a high table in an alcove which made it easier for us to carry on a conversation. Our waitperson was fantastic! She was very efficient and friendly and gave us separate checks (as we requested) which was very much appreciated. This was our first visit and I will definitely be back.
Hamburger had no flavor service paid zero attention to us had to ask for a refill
The price for what we got was ridiculous
Perry's is always a great stop with friendly staff and tasty food!
Really impressed with the server. We had special requests and she accommodated all.
I requested table by window when making reservation and go it! Made great impression on business partner with the great view. I ordered the salmon entree and it was amazing. He had ribs and loved it. Desserts were great too. Nice job. Will be back and he will too.
Patio is the best view in the city.
Family friends from Australia in town with their three kids. Our total group was 9 (5 adults, 4 kids) and it worked out very well. The ambiance is nice and semi-casual, comfortable enough to bring the kids, but nice enough for the adults to enjoy a decent brunch. The food is good standard brunch fare, nothing extraordinary but nice enough.
The food was exactly as we expected. Not "fabulous" but certainly good.
The waiter was not able to recommend a bottle of wine as he had never tasted the wines on the wine list!!!!! He wasn't very attentive.
The restaurant is VERY noisy.
Excellent service and made the experience very welcoming.
Even though I made reservations more than a week in advance, I still had to wait approximately 10 minutes to be seated. This is not the first time that I have made reservations in advance and still have to wait 5 to 10 minutes to be seated. Perhaps this is because the restaurant is so busy, however, it is still frustrating. Despite this continuing frustration, Perry’s is a great restaurant, the wait staff is excellent and the food is always good.
food is always delicious and the service was excellent
Poor service. Very slow. Food okay but not great.
Very good dining experience, nothing more, nothing less
Great food, vibe, and service. The location is also very cool. I would recommend it to a friend without hesitation!
