As usual, very good, almost outstanding. Meat loaf not very good.
The food was delicious. We dined as a party of 15 and we were all treated great. Our server was very professional and attentive to our needs.
Waitress was ok but her boss was unbelievably rude. Threw a glass of white wine down in front of my friend with barely a word and stormed off for no reason I could make out. Then came back picked it up and dropped it on another table as got order wrong. Food was very average and just felt sorry for waitress having to put up with such a boss. Not a great experience which was a shame as great location.
Always a pleasure to meet friends at Perry’s. Food and service are great...love half price wine night!
Merrie kept a watchful eye on us. Food was served as ordered. Soup was delightfully hot.
A frequent visitor at Perry's, as it's one of the consistently best dining experiences in the SOMA / Embarcadero neighborhood. The ahi poke appetizer was excellent, and the burger w/ sweet potato fries is always a great option. Excellent service, as usual. Only downsides are a crowded dining room with a few too many tables that are hence too close together, making for a tight and noisy experience. Prices are higher than they should be, but very much in line for expensive San Francisco. In any event, we are big fans and return often.
Great table. Nice view. We added a 7th person at the last minute after we were seated. They accommodated is with no issues.
Was good overall. Service is ok except they brought the entree before we were done with the appetizers. Also the waitress didn’t check during the meal to see how it was going. A bit on the pricey side but the quality/quantity are ok.
If you only open one part of your restaurant for lunch, open the other end with the view of the Bridge instead. Why waste what we all have already paid for?
Perry's is such a treasure. It's kinda old school, including the food, but I love that about it. You can't go wrong with their chili or sandwiches but there are lots of salad options. There are more vegetarian choices than there used to be back in the day of three martini lunches. Drinks came fast. Removal of plates was unobtrusive. Thankfully, none of the staff wore too much scent -- which happens far too often in restaurants in SF now. That shows the bosses are paying attention. The waiter was wonderful, very attentive but not pushing us to order while we were yammering. Professional, yet he had a lovely demeanor, like you could sit down with him and talk about stuff besides food.
Great meal. There was a wait for a table but worth it.
This is a perfect place to bring friends for lunch as it has a variety of food options, lots of seating, and good service!
All of our steaks were cold and tough. Service was very slow. Too bad because the locations and atmosphere is nice.
This restaurant is fantastic. Food is awesome. Great location. Ive always had great service. No complaints, highly recommend for a client lunch or just trying to get out of the office on a Friday.
Everything was great excepting the noise level.
Perry's is back! We are so pleased that know that the great service, ambience and food is back. Something was amiss during our last visit, from the high quality we have come to expect from Perry's.
Since we have been going here for years, we wanted to give it another go. And we're happy to say that the wonderful experience that we have known is back.
The hostess was gracious, we were seated promptly. The server was attentive, and the staff was friendly. Our salads and sandwiches (Cobb Salad and Turkey Club) were well prepared and tasty. And the sweet potato fried were made to perfection!
Thank you Perry's for returning to the be a great "go to" place!
Everything is right about Perry's. Excellent food, great variety of selection, comfy lively atmosphere, gorgeous SF views, Moderate prices, super convenient to Bart, friendly efficient wait staff. It's tough to try anywhere new when Perry's is so good.
Arrived early. No table inside. Agreed to sit outside. Smell of disinfectant overwhelming, distracting from food. Most tables had a tablecloth. Ours did not. Metal chairs were uncomfortable. Midway, asked if we could move indoors. Experience improved. Waitress very helpful. Food we ordered somewhat disappointing.
Our service was fantastic. We had a large party (9) and and the 3 of us at one end of the table all thought out proteins were dry or overcooked. My son who loves ahi poke didn't finish his order and later shared with me that it was way too salty. He may be young, but he knows his poke. That said we were there at the end of a very busy weekend and did not order the St Patty's Day special. The service and the view of the bridge were amazing. I would definitely go back and give the food another try.
I like the comfortable relaxing atmosphere of Perry’s!
Excellent location for a business lunch or drinks after work. Food is good and service very professional.
We've been going to Perry's for years. This time, the food was burned. The french fries were blackened, as was the bacon in the chicken BLTA which we ordered. When we told our server, who was very nice, she commented that several others diners that day had the same experience.
I wish Perry's goes back to it's standard of providing well made, tasty food.
Perrys is an old favorite, always nice to go back.
Our server was great - gave us lots of time to talk etc, but was always available when we wanted him.
Another excellent experience
We enjoyed an excellent brunch, party of 6. Seated timely, service prompt and courteous. Everyone thought their meal selections were very good. Especially high marks on the corned beef and hash.
With an Open Table reservation we almost always have a table with a view of the Bay Bridge light show.
After cocktails we shared a bowl of Perry's Chili to start -- really good! We'll have it again. The cocktails were inventive, and the entrees very good.
I’m a regular at this place so I decided to invite my out of town friends for lunch. We were party of 7 so I made a reservation. The main hostess promised us a big table in the front but when we arrived she tried to squeeze us in the booth. We insisted we needed more space, she got angry and rude. Made us wait for another 10 minutes. It was embarrassing.
I was using a cane last week and a young man seated me immediately even though my party was not there yet. He said I'd be more comfortable. I appreciate his kindness and thoughtfulness.
Great food, atmosphere was nice and they were very accommodating for our children.
Great noon time salads that were fresh and served quickly.
Wonderful local restaurant to bring friends from out of town. Good variety of food, great wines, casual and lively atmosphere, reasonable prices, great service. Thank you
I read quite a few excellent reviews but my experience was nothing to rave about. The food was average although the service was good
Perry's food is always good. Service is attentive. Reservations are honored.
This is a just right spot for comfort food at a reasonable price. It's great that's it so convenient to Bart and the Embacadero. Monday early half-price hamburgers are a super deal. Love their soups too!
First time eating dinner at Perry’s last Saturday evening . Fabulous food , great service ... we all loved it so much , We just made RSVP for our son’s graduation celebration from SFSU in May ....
This is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. We've been going here for years and the food, the service and the great view of the bay bridge are outstanding. A diversified menu and great wine list. Also love that they have 1/2 off the price on bottles of wine on Tuesday and Saturdays.
Our waitress was fantastic, smart, attentive, clean, well spoken and easy to deal with. We had a birthday dinner for my son and we brought our own sparking wine and she did a great job in pouring it right away and into chilled champagne glasses and got the appetizers started. There was no delay. Corkage fee was very reasonable but what was especially nice is we had a guest who is large and they set up the table so he could have a little extra space and this was done in advance. The dirty plates are quickly removed and glasses refilled promptly. I would return. The food was good, bottles of wine are half off on Saturday evenings so we'll return. Also the valet was easy.
Wish I could remember our servers name. She was awesome. We had a day she was very relaxing and patent
Great service and wonderful food!
Warm (lovely huge fireplace) inviting, friendly and delicious food!
