Attitude from the service staff, the place stinks of hookah smoke. I’m sure this fine in small amounts but i was struggling to breathe in properly. We ended up walking out after the wait staff took ten minutes to even come and say hello. Would not go back.
It was awesome! The food was great and ambiance. Music was nice too a bit kid but, it’s okay. The only thing was there was big line to the restroom.
Great time! My new spot! I recommend anyone that’s looking for s chill spot to check it out.
I really wish the open table description included that this was a hookah bar. I heard the food was great, which it was. But I took my mother there and she hates smoke - it was difficult for her to breath. The hostess was very nice. Our waitress, though, had a terrible attitude. We only stayed for appetizers because of the smoke and service - but the things we ordered were cooked very well and the flavors were fantastic.
Absolute worst customer service ever which takes away from the great food and vibe
We had a reservation at 4pm on a Sunday, but they made us wait 20 minutes outside in the cold rain because they were late on setting everything up at 4pm. Our dessert was dry as well. Usually Pergola is good with these things even at a steeper price, but unfortunately this was not the case this time.
Tables are to close to each other
Was a great experience as always. However, for the first time, we (3 of us total) were told we had to leave after being there for 2 hours because another reservation (party of 4) was coming. Note: We had also made reservations. We ordered a lot of food, hookah and continued to order as we sat there socializing. I have never had an encounter like this in all the time I’ve been visiting this establishment. After we expressed our disappointment/frustration to the waitress, she was accommodating and moved us to the next table. In the end, I think it was handled well, but they should probably put visible signs or notices so patrons are aware ahead of time.
We did not stay at the restaurant. Almost everyone was vaping. We were not prepared for that and left.
Didn’t realize was a hooka bar, won’t go again
This restaurant changed from the great food, great service to the horrible food and service. Plus, the 20% was included for the party of two. Never again.
Hookah and food are hard to mix well. Food and service good but not prepared for the haze and smells in the air
This is a hookah bar. Very smoky
Very loud, very busy, but ok to get out and get hookah
I love love love pergola so I bought coworkers here. Initially we were seated under a vent blowing out freezing cold air. Our seater made me feel like she didn’t care much about where we sat but another staff member thankfully moved us. This experience wasn’t the best but wasn’t terrible because the food and music were great. If the hostess came around to ask about beverages more and the hookah guy came to check on coals more. It would have been a significant difference. Still will come back because I’ve had better experiences before.
This was my first time here, catching up with a colleague. We made it just in time for happy hour, in which we tried the lamb sliders. They were absolutely incredible! Our waitress was really energetic and super helpful in explaining the portions and different offers available to us. The bathrooms were pretty clean and the concierge there was polite and helped traffic people seamlessly. I loved the energy of the place and look forward to trying out different items on their menu in the future. Thank you for a memorable meal!
Great place for happy hour! Exceptional service
Unfortunately, I didn’t like it .. went there after seeing the reviews and ratings and thought this is great .. The place was extremely loud you can’t even hear yourself talking from the noise of crowded people and crowded tables in there shoved so close between each other .. my friend couldn’t stay from the noise and we left in 1 hour .. hookah was bad and i’m an Arabic guy so I know a good hookah from a bad one .. also expensive for nothing special .. two hookahs + two tea + one water = $113
Was told we had a fifteen minute grace period and arrived at 925 for a 915 res. Apparently someone ahead of us was thirty minutes late and still trying to keep their reservation and an entire seven minutes of standing there being ignore our res. Was canceled. They let us keep the table only to tell us at 11 we have to give up the table. We sat down and and entire twenty minutes passed before I asked the busboy to plz find out waiter. Food was great but hostesses were awful.
I love pergola I always have a great time every time I come
We didn’t realize that it was also a hookah restaurant. Not too appealing to sit beside people doing this. Not at all. Too bad, because the food was excellent. But we won’t be back.
The food was pretty, but I would not go back given the service was so terrible. The waitress never came over, and we were there for 3 hours.
Amazing restaurant worh great good, decor and service. Hookah is best in the Tri-State.
The service was extremely slow... but 1st off the second you get there the first thing I was told Is that theres a limit of 2 hours sitting not even a "Hello welcome in".... We waited about 20 minutes to get a server in out table and we had to ask the hookah people for our drinks because our server never came back to us.... poor service... yes celebrities go there but that place is wack
It was a good experience except for the service. It took 45 minutes for anyone to take our order and then took forever to flag down the waitress once we were ready cash out.
Beautiful ambiance, the Hookah was outstanding and great music.
The cocktails were overpriced however overall I had a wonderful time
Food was amazing. The ambiance was really nice. Hookah was great as well.
They were extremely rude when seating us and the hostess led us to a table that had people still sitting there and just had us stand there for 20 minutes until they decided to leave. Then a manger came and told us to go back downstairs. Very disappointed in it all
Wonderful experience . Make a reservation to avoid lines.great food and perfect service.
Great food, atmosphere, and music. And great hookah. Definitely will be going back.
It’s a fun place
Food is traditional kind of
But overall great!
We had a good time!
I frequent Pergola quite often and every time go it is a great time!
I enjoy going to Pergola once in a blue moon as it is a local spot close to my apartment. I go with friends and we often enjoy the hookah, cocktails, some food, and the music playlist is always to our liking. This most recent visit was very disappointing. We had a table of 6 females (gratuity was automatically included as 20% in the check due to the amount of people at the table, which does not make what i am about to say suprising) The service was absolutely appalling. It bothers me when servers know they are receiving an automatic gratuity and continue to provide less than sub par service. Each time I tried to order a cocktail, about 15 minutes later either the waitress or the back waiter would come to the table and tell me they did not have a specific ingredient required to make the cocktail. These were ALL cocktails LISTED on their specific cocktail menu, this was the case twice and delayed the entire tables drink orders by about 40 minutes each round. I firstly opted for a margarita which tasted like mezcal with a pinch of lime syrup.. and i swear was slightly fizzy.. of course not enjoying that, i opted next for a sparkling rose which again, was listed on the menu. only to have the server walk away and return 15 minutes later even without my friends drinks they had ordered to tell me that they did not have the sparkling wine. This was a Saturday afternoon and you would expect the bar to be fully stocked. We were there for 2 hours with 6 women, we were able to have only 2 drinks during this time due to the slow pace of the service. By the end, i literally had to stand up and walk to the host stand to ask our waitress for the check as she was standing, hiding in the corner not tending any tables and periodically flirting with the security guard. This experience was most disappointing as it was a birthday celebration for my friend and all everyone at the table could talk about was the lack of service and extreme limit of ingredients available at the bar.
I have a great time every time I go!! Great for dates, girls night out, birthdays or just a quick dinner spot!!
Got there at 8:55pm for our 9:15 reservation, was seated immediately. The food was amazing, the sangria was very good and the hookah was the smoothest I’ve ever had.
When we arrive to the place we have to wait 30 minutes to take our table and after we order food we got the wrong order then after putting the order the second time we got the food cold . We complain and the waiter said it’s busy today and the kitchen is busy .they refuse to return the food that we didn’t eat . Then after 2 hours the waiter said we have to empty the table cause they are busy. We told her we waited 1.5 hour for our food to come and after we requested the manager and his name was Zico he told us that there is nothing he can do to us and we have to leave . When we insist on not leaving he told us that he can call the security to kick us out. This manager should get fired . He was rude . He even scream as us after we told him that even our drinks just came and one of the hookahs was 20 minute old only .
Always love your hummus & warm pita! First time for my friend.
Mediocre food, Pinot noir was undrinkable (they replaced for free but the second was gross too; server was not knowledgeable about the wine). Brought friends from out of town bc location was convenient and was embarrassed about my choice. 20% service fee for party of 3 was automatically added. This was basically $150 for low quality divey hookah bar
I ended up here on a Sunday night after dinner date w my bf. We just wanted the night to keep rolling so why not some hookah and drinks? :)
Upon arrival there were 3 ladies at the hosts desk in front. As we had no initial reservations they seemed to dismiss us and tell us to come back in 30 minutes to see “ if anything was available”.
We headed to the bar and ordered a hookah. Space was limited and crowded. I then proceeded to book on Open Table.
Needless to say this app worked like a gem. I booked a table for 2 and waited the 15 min which the app timed ,before going back to the hostess.
I showed one of them the app and she immediately proceeded to walk me to the table. I flagged my bf to bring the hookah upstairs. lol no questions asked... it’s Funny how quick the app worked.
I suggest you have reservations even if they are not too busy.
Upstairs was quieter than downstairs ,but there was still a vibe. We enjoyed our hookah which we will rate a 4/5 and our Prosecco drinks were good 4/5.
It’s a super chill spot that can be good for dates and group outings. I’ve been here twice before and never needed the open table app but I’m thankful for it... it made this experience way better the it was going to be standing at the bar.
I have referred so many people to Pergola! Truly a great spot for a get together with friends. I highly recommend the lamb burgers and sangria! Phenomenal!
