Lovely village pub / restaurant. The pub was busy when we arrived for our table at 7.30 but sadly soon emptied out by 8.30 pm, so we decided to leave as no atmosphere. However the food and the service was extremely good.

We had been recommended this pub so had high hopes but were very disappointed. To keep it brief, the service was slow and poor. Nobody came to our table to asking everything was OK, which it wasn't. We would have liked some extra sauces and the soft drinks which we'd already expressed were completely flat, were still completely flat after being refilled. We asked for them to be removed from our bill as we couldn't drink them, which they were. My husband had 14 chips on his plate of fish and chips. My lamb flatbread had barely any sauce or salad making it very dry. We would have considered a dessert if someone had come quicker to ask if we wanted one but had to go to the bar with our 5 year old so we could pay and leave. A large table of 8 behind us had sat with empty plates even longer than us and said "well I suppose we won't be getting a dessert menu then". It's very sad to see hospitality businesses missing out on vital trade due to poor service and simple things that could be easily don't better. Sadly won't be visiting again which is a real shame. I hope this can help the restaurant make improvements to give others a better experience.

We ordered the 3 meat roast. It came minus the chicken and when we asked they said they had ran out. No greens came with the food as advertised and it was only warm not hot. When we complained they said they would give us a discount, they took of £3.

Enjoyed a two night stay at the Percy Arms, we had two evening meals and two breakfasts. I can honestly say there were no negatives at all over those four meals. The staff were excellent, the food was delicious and a slightly different menu to the usual. The attention to detail overall was outstanding, including the accommodation

Very nice food let down by the service but the landlady made good by discounting our bill without us asking her to do so. The halloumi starter was simple and delicious

Staff polite and very friendly, however extremely busy since Mother's Day. Food very nice quality and good veg selection. Best Sunday lunch we've had for weeks. The vegetarian in our group had a more limited menu option. Table was a good size and the atmosphere in the room great. We will be back.
