Perch LA Ratings and Reviews
The ambiance at Perch LA cannot be beat. The view of Los Angeles is the best in the downtown. While I had always had drinks and appetizers there and been happy, my dinner experience was not perfect. Food was cold and not wonderful. Service was excellent and they tried to rectify the situation promptly, but unfortunately the overall experience was still left wanting.
This was a very good place to eat and enjoy the view. I took my girl friend out to eat because I haven’t been romantic for a while since I was out of a job for a while but now I took her out and she loved it. The best place for a romantic date. The food particularly the steak frites was just beyond delicious I’m defiantley coming here again for a romantic dinner and view.
Very rude attendant downstairs. He treated us in a bad way. I had reservation for 8:45 but we got our table @9:30. No waiting area, very inconvenient to wait. Finally got our table. Beautiful view, good drinks, delicious food! Also we enjoyed live music !!!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Perch. The waiter, Nes, pulled my chair out (rare these days) and the owner/manager in charge consistently checked in on us. In addition, the food was great - recommend the sides menu in place of appetizers & the Charles Smith wine choice. Definitely an excellent place to take a date or celebrate with a friend.
Everything was delicious. It is a gem in downtown LA. The brunch menu WAS wonderful. We started with a tuna tartare, followed by an avocado goat cheese salad, steak frite (the fries were lightly dressed in yummy cheesey gooey sauce) and had a pot de creme chaser that was decadent and delicate at the same time sprinkled with fleur de sel that just elevated it to another level. My libation was the Pink Lady. It was delicate, pink, and refreshing. I will definitely be coming back.
The staff was very accommodating as we were late for our reservation; I️ really appreciated that. View was awesome and our service, food and drink were great. In particular, the gnocchi was almost melt-in-your-mouth - I️ have a hard time finding really good gnocchi and this dish was spot on. We were kinda rushing ourselves cos we were heading to a concert, but we will definitely brave LA traffic again to return when we can have a more relaxed dinner.
I loved the live band, the singer voice was beautiful. The music selection was relaxing and up beat. The food was delicious. As well, there's multiple seating options - which we requested to move out of the walk way to a more intimate area. The waitress was very accommodating. I enjoyed my 21st again birthday dinner. Thank you! God bless
What a beautiful brunch! We celebrated my mother’s 56th Birthday in which I mentioned when I reserved our table on the open table app and they brought her a cup of home made ice cream with fresh berries and a candle complimentary!! So sweet!! It was nice hearing all the employees tell my mother “Happy Birthday Ms.Connie!” There was just the right amount of noise... not too quiet and not too loud. The live jazz group playing in the background was perfect! I can’t say enough about the view! It was a beautiful DTLA scene! The food was very good! We ordered an assortment of breads... yummy! Shrimp Scampi, Perch Burger, Salmon Eggs Benedict, Steak and truffle Fries and a pitcher of Sangria. The steak was great, but I’d rather order the shrimp scampi next time for brunch... it was flavorful and light. But I’d come back for the truffle fries alone!! You can order the fries as an appetizer!!! I’d definitely do that! I’d also pass on the Sangria... unless you like a strong drink at 10:30am! Our waiter was David... what a great guy! He was quick with service and had a wonderful personality! He got a 25% tip from us. You can take beautiful pictures throughout this building... ending with a bang from the 16th floor! Thanks Perch, for a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to be back for an evening experience while the sun sets!
The food is usually very good! I’ve never had bad steak frites, which is my usual go to. If you go at night and get seated on the patio it’s absolutely amazing! The view is wonderful and you can’t beat California weather. Definitely a pricey spot, but great for special occasions.
We’re not from LA and went to Perch for a nice dinner date. The views of downtown LA can’t be beat and the food was delicious! They also have an awesome bar one floor above the restaurant that we enjoyed before our dinner. Our waiter was very attentive and even brought us ice cream when he learned it was my birthday. I would definitely recommend!
This was our second time there . We had a great experience the first time but the second time not so great . Steak frites was tough and fatty . Filet was chewy and potatoes were cold .really nice waitress but service was spotty. Caesar salad was wet and had too much shaved cheese . Wine list was mediocre and no one knew anything about the selections . Ambience and energy and view are great but their food needs a substantial upgrade . They are coasting because they draw people in for the views.
