Waitress was not attentive.. we asked for condiments and she never brought them to the table, Bellini were amazing.
The view and service were the highlight but unfortunately the food was not. That said, it was not bad and when taking the view into account, the overall experience was very good.
We had the charcuterie plate, pork belly and french onion soup to start and the mixed plate of meats and cheeses was very good and with the addt'l items - figs, jams, etc. - made for an enjoyable starter. The pork belly was also very good but definitely more on the sweeter side with how it was prepared. The soup was the least tasteful of the bunch and whereas it wasn't bad, it did not shine in anyway.
For our mains I had the flat iron steak with truffle fries and my wife had the bouillabaisse. My steak was very good - and cook as I like - but the fries were so smothered in the truffle sauce it was like eating cheese fries. I noted that the table next to us ordered the same and ended up asking for plain fries after they saw the amount of sauce on theirs. I think that was primarily due to a food restriction, but I should have done the same.
For my wife main, she immediately commented that it tasted as if it was made from frozen fish and within the first few bites decided it was not worth eating. Fortunately the starters filled her up enough where she didn't leave hungry but it was def a let down.
And at first this didn't dawn on me but the time from ordering to getting our food was insanely short and for food that I would expect to be prepared in "real-time", that in hindsight should have been a red flag.
No joke that when we order our main courses, we had our food in maybe 5 minutes.
From a service perspective we had zero to complain about. Our server was very attentive, checked in with us regularly, never rushed us, and made sure I always had a full glass. The support start was also equally attentive with our water, etc.
Now the view! It was the highlight of the meal and even with a bit of a haze was gorgeous. But note, as soon as the set, it got cold so bring a sweater!
I had called ahead and left 2 messages to request a table outside and never received a call back. We did end up sitting outside but it would’ve been professional on the restaurant’s part to call us back, so that was disappointing.
Just a great place overall.
De food quality was poor and service was okay
Bad service. We had no waiter. Four different people served us including the guys who clean up the table took our orders.
Great food and drink. Live music was awesome
We loved our time at Perch! Will definitely be back!
Thanks alot for making our evening fun and providing great service and delicious food.
It was my boyfriends birthday and I love rooftop views so I was like perfect occasion!
Ambiance was amazing, drinks were perfect, food was bland. The servers, waiters, were all fast and efficient.
The view was wonderful.
This is a restaurant that serves its clientele well —a relatively young, unsophisticated, heavily dating-oriented group. The staff do a really great job and god bless them. 8 hours of the pop oriented music blasted out to the diners to convey a sense of excitement would drive me nuts. Otium this ain’t.
It was amazing we had a great time
Great place and great meal. Awesome ire of the city
Breathtaking Experience. 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Very nice venue. Lots of atmosphere. Enjoyed my time
Wonderful food ambiance!
Great for a date!…………………………………………………………………………………..
Was an awesome experience, the view was amazing the food was delicious, I had the filet mignon. There was excellent live music as it was a Monday… the service was okay as it seemed a little overwhelmed in the beginning but the music helped to distract for the time being as it cooled off… overall wonderful.
Such a beautiful rooftop! I had a great time celebrating my birthday here and the food was AMAZING!
phenomenal food, great drinks, and fantastic service. cannot recommend any higher.
A lot of mistakes during the service.
Showed up early for reservation so waited to be seated until our reservation time. However we sat for exactly 21 minutes when I realized nobody had come to serve us ask for drinks or even drop off water. When I told the hostess she proceeded to say “your server just brought your drinks” and I turned around and suddenly water just showed up at our table. However I told her “okay but we were sitting for 20 minutes while nobody even looked our way or asked us if we wanted something to drink”. Regardless, 21 minutes is TOO LONG! We ended up ordering everything we wanted and as it was my spouse’s birthday I went to ask for a surprise dessert. The hostess then sent me to another girl to ask for what I wanted and I ordered two desserts and received only one. We ended up just asking for the check after as I gave up and didn’t want to look stupid as I took my spouse out to this birthday dinner expecting much better service.
Perch wan fun! Good food and beautiful view.
Absolutely amazing! It was our first time there. We were celebrating our anniversary x honestly we just couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off our next year of love. There was no wait. We showed up a little early for our reservation x got seated immediately. The service was exquisite. The food beyond delicious. And the view, just wow. I recommend making the reservation x enjoying Perch. We'll definitely be back.
Wonderful food and service. Beautiful views of downtown LA. Crab Benedict and French Toast are spectacular.
Great experience, food and drinks were delicious. Great service
Good for a date night or birthday dinner. Rooftop had great view and if you go at the right time (before 9pm) you get to listen to live music.
Except for some overly loud and obviously highly intoxicated group of women it was good birthday experience. Just recommend you limit how many drinks customer can have .
The manger was very kind as was our waiter. We went to celebrate our anniversary and had a terrible time.
First off we were seated by the bathroom away from the music, people continuously bumped into our table. My boyfriends seat was next to a box that he kept bumping into. There was no lighting in this area either.
The appetizer were good, we had the tuna tartar which was delicious. The surf turf was okay, the steak was dry. Our drinks were not worth 15 dollars I had the berry LA which tasted like straight vodka. The waitress did bring me sweetener which was sweet, but the drink still lacked the berry component?
The entrees were a complete fail, I had the steak and fries while my boyfriend had the bunny frue frue. My fries were stale as if they were left out for a while, the steak had no flavor. Even the sauce was plain. My boyfriend dish also had no seasoning, or flavor even with the heavy amount of sauce. The waitress did see we were not enjoying our dishes and had the manger come over. She was kind and allowed us to chose a new dish. I asked what she recommended, I ended up getting the gnocchi. My partner declined at this point he was unimpressed with the food. The gnocchi that was sent had an odd texture and again no flavor. I do not understand how that is possible with pesto, but it was.
I alone decided to order dessert because I thought it isn’t possible they would taste bad. I ordered the crème brûlée one of my favorite dessert. I regretted it :( it tasted like it had a hint of dish soap.
Again I will say the staff was very sweet, but this experience ruined our anniversary. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The dishes are overpriced, there was no quality to the food.
Good: View, Service, Food
Bad: Dresscode was not shared BEFORE we arrived to the restaurant
Made reservations via OpenTable and received notices about arriving on time, checking in, etc. But no mention was made about dresscode. We were out and about all day in LA, having a great time, and then arrived about 10 minutes early for our lunch reservations. At the door, we were told there were no open toed shoes for men. And the doorman pointed out a shoe store for us to purchase shoes from. What!?!??! Yep... we had to go purchase shoes for one of our guys as he was in summer sandals - it being hot in LA and all. We were so upset as we walked around human waste, trash, and dirty sidewalks -all because we didn't know about the dresscode. After purchasing shoes and going back in, we were told the dresscode was published on the website. Well, NONE of the OpenTable reservation emails, notices, or anything mentioned a dresscode. I even double-checked as we were waiting for our table. NO MENTION AT ALL.
The view was nice and the food was good - but our waitstaff was amazing. Efficient, kind, speedy, and super service oriented, she was an amazing waitress. When we asked to speak with the manager, we made sure to let her know it wasn't because of her. We shared our disappointment with the manager about the dress code (not knowing, OpenTable didn't share with us, having to go buy shoes) and that we appreciate dresscodes, when we know about them ahead of time - she gave us a dessert... which we hadn't asked for or ordered. While I get her position of trying to resolve the issue, it really didn't resolve the issue and we left completely disillusioned by Perch. It would have been better for her to either comp us something we had already ordered or discount off the check, because we were already ready to go when we spoke with her (we didn't want to totally ruin our mean or the waitress's amazing service) So disappointing!!!!!
Brewd was good; entrees were mediocre. View was about as good as the view of Air Conditioner roofs ar discount hotel luxury suites.
Always a great place to enjoy time with family and friends. Beautiful views no matter where they sit you.
good atmosphere not great food but fun experience overall
Lathan was very nice
Amazing views and service only thing is one of our heaters was not working . It was cool night .
Amazing food and ambiance!!!
Food is pretty bad, both quality and flavor lacks. Atmosphere is great! Service was decent.
Food was great, worth it. Beautiful view! We had the almond cake for dessert and it was delicious. Our waiter Mike was great!
