Perch LA Ratings and Reviews
My girlfriend loved it! It was our valentines date and we did this the day before to avoid the chaos; and it was so romantic. Extremely, friendly and accommodating. From my observation this is very much a formal/casual setting. For men: A nice dress shirt; no tie needed. For woman: A beautiful comfortable black dress is enough; no need to over dress. I was very satisfied, knowingly, I have been here for drinks before, but never dinner. Great place for a romantic date. Not too pricey...
Came for my wife’s birthday and we both love it. I got the filet mignon that was cooked perfectly (medium well) and my wife got the salmon that was equally good. The almost cake is a must try.... DELICIOUS!!! The waiter(Tyler) props to him, made the evening a delight. Both funny and attentive . The drinks are really strong also (which my wife didn’t complain at all) and at about $14 each not bad. I had Pranqsters all night so I was good. Also got about 30mins earlier than the reservations I made (7pm) and got seated immediately. The band playing was really good. It’s nice that you can hear them where ever you go (yes, even the restroom)
I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the outdoor section of the restaurant. It was very relaxing and the view was great! I just wish the entree options were not so limited. I found it odd that half the menu had brunch options when it was already 3:30 or 4:00 pm. Overall the experience was great
Amazing one of my fav LA places whether is for brunch or dinner The Perch is stunning! 3rd time here and this time for dinner and to celebrate my birthday! The service was outstanding they even secretly collaborated with my friends to surprise me with my red velvet cake and brought out huge bouquets of flowers it was amazing !!! Thank you for making my bday memorable. Food and drinks were delicious definitely something new and exciting
DTLA has a lot of great rooftop spots, and The Perch is always a good time. Great ambience, terrific cocktails and snacks, a killer view, and live music make for a great combination. Definitely not fast food, but great for a mid-week happy hour or a pre-concert date.
My friend lives in the UK and she has been visiting the States for the last several weeks. For her last week in LA, she wanted to do a fancy dinner, so I knew Perch was the perfect place to satisfy her pallet. Let’s just say after she had the fillet mignon and the white chocolate bread pudding, she said she could die happy. It was a great night and the atmosphere was perfect.
Great place with really good food, a fun environment fantastic views of the city. The only complaints is the seating. if you have a party of 4 or more they sit you at these tables that don't seem to match correctly with chairs. so it can get a little uncomfortable.
We made a reservation but it still took 20 minutes for us to be seated and once we were seated we had a tiny table that was just out of the entrance to the main balcony. Only one of us had a view. The my completely forgot that I had made the reservations for my anniversary with my girlfriend. The food was great but it was overpriced for a roasted chicken breast and a beef stew.
Perch is a "wannabe" high-end restaurant. Half the staff is fake-nice and other half really don't give a sh*t. I went to celebrate Saturday night for an anniversary but could have gotten way better value somewhere else.
1) Service - extra napkin, entrees, and a wrong dessert order were basically thrown in our table. Waiter had to give the dessert to the table behind us after about 5 minutes. + no free cake for an anniversary celebration? (I still tipped 20%, cuz I know you gotta make a living)
2) Ambience - great view and old fashioned decor but crowd isn't too high-end (a lot of fat people showing off their boobs if you know what I'm sayin').
3) Food - Ordered Steak Frites, but the fries were soggy and the toughest medium rare steak I've ever had at a restaurant no joke. I mean Chili's offers a more tender sirloin for their two for $20 dinner deal.
Don't get fooled, like me.
Nice atmosphere, great bar. Food was mediocre. Servers not very attentive, and not pleasant either. All the servers seemed to be frowning, or just taking care of business, not thinking about making it a pleasant experience. And the guys that brought our food just sort of plopped the plates on the table. Where did they get theses guys? I was actually a little embarrassed to have taken my wife here for our date night.
I was left pretty underwhelmed with my experience at Perch. I had heard nothing but good things about how great the view and atmosphere was here. Don’t get me wrong, when you went out by the edge it was stunning. I had made a reservation three weeks prior (which is as far out as possible) and requested a table on the perimeter as we were celebrating a birthday and wanted a good view. I was sat at a table that was in an odd corner of the restaurant shrouded by three walls and trees so we were left with a small cropping to look out. So right from the get go I was disappointed. Then, I ordered a filet mignon. It was surprisingly thin cut and fairly overdone for medium. I didn’t want to send it back though and end up eating by myself once everyone was finished. I will say that the drinks were good though. Overall, I was very disappointed for how much money we spent and am unsure if I would ever go back to the restaurant. Might as well save your money and just check out the rooftop bar instead.
It was my first time coming here and I was simply blown away. I brought my girlfriend here for brunch on the occasion it was her birthday. We both loved the food, the vibes, and that customer service was incredible. David was taking care of us and all I can say is what a guy! He recommended a bunch of great choices. I will definitely be returning here. 5/5
Perch LA was a fun experience and a good place to take guests from out of town. The view sparked and gave perspective to the city. The food was flavourful, pleasing everyone in the group. We loved the gnocchi and the pork belly. Perhaps Friday night was not the best choice for a time time go as the restaurant was crowded and noisy especially in the bar area. I would go back but choose a less popular time slot to enjoy the ambiance more.
