The only good-thing I can say is we were seated on time . The noise level was deafening. The server was nice but never mentioned the specials. Our food was brought out in record time... for a place so crowded pre made comes to mind. And the food was bland. Not even salt could help the fries. The salmon had non existent components of was it said on the menu. I won’t go back
Food was wonderful......booth was not comfortable...next time sit at a table
Good food poor wine list. Ok wait staff. Not very busy midweek, so that was nice.
I had the cod and the fish was fresh and cooked just right. Have been here before and never been disappointed with my choice
Food was okay but good place otherwise
Went there before show at the theater. Appetizers and main course was great!
Food was great large portions friendly staff reasonably priced.
We went out with two other couples . We loved the environment and the food was terrific . The waitress was a ten and the entire night was a 9.8. We really enjoyed it .
As always, PeraBell continues to impress. The service is fast and friendly. The food is always outstanding. And we will be going back soon.
The appetizers and entrees were amazing; my husband told our server that his appetizer was the best appetizer he's ever had! He had the Thai short ribs. However, I had to send my Cosmo back because it was opaque and very acidic; I think the bartender put sour mix in it. I've never EVER sent a drink back... but the toasted coconut drink I got instead was delicious. We went there before a show at the Patchogue Theatre and it was very crowded and VERY noisy; hard to have a conversation.
We enjoyed our night at Perabell thoroughly. The mood was great and the food was amazing.
Honestly, I was expecting a bit more. Many things on the menu sound good, and their Happy Hour deal for burgers is great. I'm happy when I'm able to make it to that. However, on this occasion, the kitchen was off. I ordered the steak special. The steak was almost entirely fatty and basically inedible. The steak came with horseradish cheddar mashed potatoes, but the horseradish flavor was so strong, I also could not eat it. The waitress, Marissa, was very receptive when I told her the issues I had with my meal. She very quickly swapped it out for another special I was thinking of ordering. That other meal was adequate, but again, disappointing for a special menu item. I would say to stick to the items on their normal menu instead.
My friend and I ordered the tuna entree and it didn’t have a lot of flavor. I typically love eating at Pera bell. I will still come again but order something different.
Best food in Patchogue!! This restaurant never disappoints from the appetizers to the desserts.
Excellent service and attentive staff. Though food is high quality, they are not stuffy about casual diners. Great place.
Always fabulous there!
A little crowded at the bar, due to popularity of the restaurant, but the bartender did an awesome job serving everyone. We were seated exactly at our reservation time. Our server was amazing. All the food was exceptional. We had Shepherds pie nachos, empanadas and honey siracho wings for appetizers. Each one was spot on. For dinner we had Short Ribs, Pork Chops, and Wasabi Tuna, again spot your on. All this and wine and Irish Coffees and the bill was very reasonable. New go to spot in Patchogue.
I felt rushed so the next ppl can be seated
The food was not great. The calamari was bland no added flavor. The pastrami crusted salmon was bland and tasted almost burnt. The pasta with chicken sausage was gross the after taste was bitter and the pasta was gummy the spinach dip was dry and thick . Overall very disappointing. I would not recommend at all
It was very nice!
Went to perabel on a quiet Wednesday evening with a group of six. The place was about 10-25% full. It took over 15 minutes to be askedfor a drink order and almost an hour until it arrived. There was an additional extended wait for appetizers and our meals. Our waitress barley checked in or updated us and stood feet away just shooting the breeze with coworkers. To be fair the food was good for the price, but we wouldnt return based on the service..
Everything was excellent.
Got together early with friends (4pm) not to busy and nice service. Food arrived hot and all together.. Great all around time..
Great food. Great service. Great experience.
This is by far one of my favorite places to eat. , Their food is alwsys outstanding, just wish their drinks weren't so expensive. I have no problem paying for a $12 "punch" if it actually "punched me" but after 2, I didn't even notice I had drank any alcohol.
We went to dinner before a show at the Patchogue theatre. Our waitress was very personable. We started with the battered chili shrimp (4 shrimp), chicken Parmesan served in a skillet (3 pieces), and the poutine appetizers. Loved the shrimp! We all felt like we could have ordered the shrimp or chicken parm as a meal. The Poutine was just okay, French fries with gravy and cheese. Would try a different appetizer. Our entrees were excellent. The Cobb Salad was very good. The skirt steak with melted gorgonzola cheese on was delicious as was the creamed spinach. The Gnocchi special with Cajun seasoning was also very good. The prices are reasonable and the servings were good sized portions.
They have a great selection of wines. We’ve had dinner here a few times and have not been disappointed. They do have Happy Hour and their lunches are great also. Our compliments to the chef! Definitely try this restaurant when in Patchogue!
Great food and service. Stephanie (our server) is a gem
The seafood salad was delicious . Tasty and filling.
PeraBell never disappoints. I have been coming here for years, even when it occupied the small space where the Tap Room is now.
The food was delicious and prices are reasonable. I recommend that they add more vegetarian main dish options. One of our guests who is a vegetarian had a hard time finding something on the menu.
This was my second time at Perabell. I thought the food was amazing, but the service lacked. I felt the waiters/waitresses could have gone the extra mile, and did not on several occassions. I would still recommend to others based on how good the food was.
My go to, great food awesome service
pretty restaurant.. Service was okay although needs some work
Have been dining at PeraBell for many years, but had not been there for at least a year and a half. They were one of the first restaurants to open in the newly developed downtown Patchogue area and their cuisine was always outstanding.
But not this time. Out of the 4 of us dining out on a Saturday night, we found the half-chicken roast to be dry as a bone and the seafood was the same. Steak was dry and tasteless. Disappointing. The food tasted more like pubfare than 'moderately' priced cuisine.
The other downtown Patchogue restaurants have caught, and seemingly passed, PeraBell by in the last few years. The dining area needs a re-freshening and they need to decide whether they are a fine dining establishment with a bar, or a vibrant bar with below-average dining for the area.
The food is consistently great here. We were celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. The pastrami wrapped salmon is amazing! It was her first visit and she loved it!
I had the muscles as an appetizer and the squid ink ravioli stuffed with crab meat in a roasted red pepper sauce. It was absolutely incredible. The chef never disappoints in his menu choices and the taste and freshness of the food. I could close my eyes and taste every flavor note in each dish. If you haven’t tried the food you’re really missing out.
0ne of our favorite places to eat, especially on a theatre night. Great food and attentive staff.
Seating was punctual. Really squeeze people in though. They did move us to a booth on request but you feel every move of people sitting on other side . Waitress Ari was very pleasant and provided good service. The Autum soup was delicious . The so called cheese cake was terrible; weird texture- more like a coarse moose and sorbet had no flavor. The steakhouse mashed potatoes on the filet mignon special were terrible. How do you mess up mashed potatoes?!! What ever was mixed in was bitter and overpowering and you only get 2 medalions for $35.We might go back for happy hour because the bar was pleasant but I don't think we'd have dinner there again
Decent bar food...go with that expectation and your fine.
I usually love Perabell so I was definitely a little disappointed this time, having gone in with high expectations. The tables for two are simply too close together. I was sitting closer to the woman dining next to me than I was to the person I came with, leaving it too hard to have a conversation. And to boot, the table next to us were carrying on a cell phone conversation on speakerphone. Our waitress was sweet, but I did notice after hearing the waitress at the table next to us that ours didn’t read us the specials. Our dinner came out while we were still eating the bread, and finally, there was a kid walking around the dining room soliciting the customers to buy cds or something from him. The manager came and kicked him out, but all added up it was just a disappointing experience overall. And whatever the fries are cooked in gave me a stomachache the next day. I probably won’t be back for awhile.
Great staff. Great food, right in the heart of Patchogue. A must if you are local or just in the area.
