Amazing service , food so delicious also beautiful place
I’ve luckily been to many of the top-rated restaurants in the USA and Europe, almost always with a tiny edge of disappointment. My experience at PER SE reduced those memories to ashes. It was in all respects superb. As soon as my eye lit on some element of the decor, a staff member unobtrusively arrived to explain its floral composition, or its forest source, or Adam Tihany’s witty instructions etched into the lamp shade. Each course arrived on porcelain that seemed elegantly designed for that food presentation only. I ate the carnivores menu; my guest had the vegetarian. At the end of each course, we’d say “Best ever,” until the next arrived and they upped the ante. Not only the variety but the enchanting color combinations enthralled. In short: impeccable service, exciting food.
And here is another point: we were two women dining. I’ve often experienced inferior even condescending service at top restaurants from servers who prefer male clients. I noticed several women servers at PER SE. All servers were charming and none were unctuous.
It was lovely, a thoroughly happy satisfaction to all senses.
Expensive as hell and totally worth it !!! Completely justified all the hype and praise I have read over the years. Food was exceptional - exquisitely presented and delicious. Although the meal was a 9 course tasting menu we felt very comfortable at the end - satisfied but not stuffed. The dining room ambience was elegant and warm. Tables well spaced apart. Service was formal but extremely knowledgeable, and also friendly and personable - the ideal mix.
The wine list has massive markups but a broad and interesting selection - including a wide range of half bottles which is not so common. Per Se is everything a top flight restaurant should be - Bravo !
3star Michelin-say no more everything that you can expect from the highest accolade In guide Michelin
The food is wonderful — for sure — and the service is literally impressive. Beside basic practices, Per Se prints birthday blessing on its menu the captain handwrites his greeting on it.
Would recommend the add-on of truffle and foie gras.
In a word - amazing. We had to try Per Se so we could compare it to Thomas Keller's other Michelin 3 Star restaurant The French Laundry. They are equal in every aspect. Per Se is a must visit experience for anyone in NYC who wants a truly memorable dining experience. The wine pairing was the perfect accompaniment to the exquisite culinary creations.
A lot of surprise! Best experience!
Always the super best
Warm friendly amazing service. It was my son’s birthday and they arranged to have his name on the menu which was presented to him at the end of the meal and signed by the chef. We had oysters and caviar, foie gras, poached chicken, a shrimp dish, sea bream, short rib and a tiny, but yummy, cheese course. The desserts were fabulous. They brought over a cake with a candle which was then sliced and served. Crepes Suzette, ice cream, donuts to dip into a coffee whipped cream confection. Chocolate truffles and more, but I just can’t remember Beautiful restaurant, great view. I highly recommend
We had an amazing experience at Per Se for my birthday. Food, ambiance, service, experience were unforgettable! Cheers!
Amazing dining experience
Amazing experience, impeccable service and incredible food. Perfect for the high-end foodie!
Excellent service- friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, as always.
This was single handily the best dinning experience we have ever had. The oysters and pearls dish was out of this
World. Black truffle pasta hell ya. Jake our server for the evening brought us glass after glass of some of the best wines we ever had. Instead of going through the 150 page wine list we just asked Jake to bring us a glass whenever we were empty. We left at 1 in the morning, honestly thought we were at Per Se for a couple of hours. Five amazing hours had gone by. Thank you for a fantastical evening!!
Lived up to its expectations!
This was the second time I have eaten here. It is a divine experience in food, ambiance and service. The wines are perfectly matched to each course. It is still my favorite.
We have been to Per Se many times and this was one of the most pleasant, enjoyable ones. Perhaps it was because of the personable and warm staff (Maitre d’ Brian was very nice, Jeff was super friendly and professional as were the other staff). In the past the staff has always been professional but occasionally lacking in warmth. Not now. And I think the new chef de cuisine has breathed freshness into the menu. Even without knowing there had been a change in the leadership in the kitchen, I detected a change. It is a welcome one that has added vitality to this classic establishment. We will certainly continue to eat here and recommend it to others!
Marvelous pre fix menu!
All stars valued!!
Best restaurant and service! It is pricy, but worth every penny. We will be back. Thank you for the amazing dining experience.
This was an exceptional experience to celebrate my friend's 65th birthday in NYC. The space is lovely with a beautiful view of the Columbus Statue and Central Park. The wine list was exceptional - we started with a lovely rose sparkling champagne and then had a bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The The oysters and pearls dish was one of the most delicious treats i have ever had. The black truffle pasta was amazing and they are definitely not stingy with the truffles. Even the bread and butter was exceptional. The service was amazing - attentive and personal. They treated us to an extra pasta/truffle dish and several deserts. We each have eaten at many top restaurants and rate this as one of our dining experience highlights.
The perfect place to celebrate our 15th Wedding Anniversary. Everything was perfect. To top it off they gave us a tour of the kitchen. The best dining experience hands down.
Loud guest next to us which the restaurant couldn’t help
Fabulously friendly professional staff that went out of their way to make my birthday experience the best ever
We had an absolutely over-the-top wonderful time at this restaurant for our first visit. Fabulous food and impeccable service!
Brilliant food and service. Outstanding
From arrival to the end of the meal the service was outstanding, the food was well thought out and perfectly prepared and delicious. Attention to every detail puts this restaurant at the top of the list of go to places. Another great meal at a chef Keller restaurant.
Absolutely the best dining experience - and that is the key term ‘dining experience’ - that I have ever had. The food, attention to EVERY detail, and service were impeccable and yet not in any way pretentious or showy. Just totally professional, warm and welcoming. We let the sommelier do all the wine pairings and they were outstanding and all came with great stories. It’s clearly not something you would do frequently and, frankly, that would dull the experience, but it is absolutely worth the visit and we will definitely be back.
Amazing. Thank you for an unbelievable experience! First class.
We were celebrating our first anniversary, Valentines Day, and a Christmas present all in one. I had planned the reservation months in advance. The restaurant is well beyond my financial means, so I had exceptionally high standards set to justify my saving up for the experience (basing it off of the other dare-I-say “bouchée” dining experiences we’ve had prior establishments such as at.mosphere at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai).
When we arrived, our coats were checked and we were sat immediately. We had two mature-d’s help us into beautiful booth seating with plush pillows; a charming view of the warm, glass encased fireplace and the lights of the city over Central Park South.Upon the waiter greeting us, he congratulated us on our occasions, and informed us they were celebrating their own—a 14th anniversary themselves. Complimentary champagne accompanied his announcement. He checked in about my spouses allergies and had any menu selections using such ingredients accommodated.
Of course, I was already swooned by the experience, however, I knew there was nothing to be too excited about until the meal was presented. Course by course, eloquently designed culinary masterpieces graced the table, optics, and palette. I thought it was only 9 courses. Seemed like 15! I’m sad that I missed TWO pictures of two dishes. The experience was truly artful. A journey. You could feel the emotional connection to food Thomas Keller speaks so passionately of. And of course, what I think is the most impressive element: no single ingredient repeated in any one dish.
This experience was bar-none one of the most splendid dining experiences I will have ever had in my lifetime. And I’m only 22!
We came expecting a wonderful special dinner but the whole experience exceeded our expectations
Had a fantastic experience at Per Se. Of course very pricey but it delivers. The tasting menu is extensive and so well thought out and ever bite is unique and delicious. The pastry chef is extremely talented as you get about 8 different small desserts and every one a bit more tasty than the one before. The food, venue and view is wonderful but what really makes Per Se stand out over all the other 5 star restaurants out there is the service. Everyone was attentive and friendly. We will absolutely be back to Per Se again.
Words can not describe this place. I’m not going to even try. You have to come try it for yourself to understand the magic of this place!!!
Worth every penny. From ambience to service to food and beverages.
Wonderful meal and fantastic service. Overall it was a beautiful experience
Does not deserve the 3* Michelin at all even in a country where that criteria is much easier to get that in many European countries.
No single serving of the 9 course menu was worthwhile remembering!
A special place to celebrate a very special occasion. Each course more amazing, creative and delicious than the previous. An unforgettable dining experience.
Amazing restaurant! Can’t wait to come back
We went to Per Se on a Friday night. We had the chef's menu. The tapioca with caviar was outstanding. The lobster, the grouper and the duck were really good.
All the desserts were tasty and different: the chocolate with pepper was my favorite, My husband really liked the banana bread ice cream.
Obviously, the service was memorable, they’re constantly take careful of us.
