Pepperoncini Restaurant & Bar Conshohocken Ratings and Reviews
After finding Pepperoncini and locating close on-street parking, we walked the short distance to this small neighborhood restaurant. We were there to celebrate 2 birthdays. Our server, Shawna, couldn't have been nicer and even explained the menu twice, once when we were seated and once when our friends arrived. We ordered calamari for the table and meatballs. Both were good especially the calamari with the Green Goddess dressing on the side. Small salads were also delivered to our table. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, even those with food restrictions. The chef was very flexible and altered the menu as needed. My Bronzino wrapped in parchment paper was moist and flavorful.
Then it was time for dessert. When I made the reservation, I mentioned in our request that we were celebrating two birthdays. I even received a phone call from someone at the restaurant asking about candles. Very impressive! We decided to opt for candles on our desserts rather than on a small chocolate cake provided by the restaurant. What was upsetting was that when the desserts came out, no candles were on them. Our server obviously didn't know we were celebrating birthdays because she looked down and commented about the card on the table and asked if it was someone's birthday. Someone obviously dropped the ball, and I can't say it was the server. Despite a delicious dinner, not celebrating the birthdays left us disappointed.
I made a reservation to take part in restaurant week. This was my first time dining here and after reviewing the menu I instead choose to order off the regular menu and get chicken parm vs. the Preset Menu. It was very tasty and the portion was enough that I had lunch the following day. The service was very pleasant and welcoming from the hostess to the waitress and the food was served in a timely fashion. My only 2 issues would be the noise level. It was hard to carry or hear our conversation and cost of (2) Grey Goose Dirty Martinis. When given the the bill each one was $14 and we were charged an extra dollar for ordering blue cheese olives in (1). I think this is a rather escalated price. As a suggestion, one should be notified of the upgrade charge on the menu or in person when other vodka's outside of the "house" are less, especially when Thursday nights have $8 per martini vodka selections as vodka upgrades. Otherwise, I would return and am glad we selected this location.
I think Lynn Leonard and I were the first two diners for Restaurant Week. We enjoyed every bite of our meals. We like quiet dining so we eat early. We hope you add
Braciole to your menu, it was delicious. We’ll be back soon. Shawna convinced us to come on Thursday for Lamb.
I heard some good reviews, however my experience wasn't that great. I had a later reservation, however, I still had to wait. Then I was seated all the way in the back room. The space was tight and too close to other diners. The noise level was very loud and I could hardly have a conversation of my own. I could everyone elses conversation. The service was not that great. At least the food was good.
Our management team had a two day conference, and we needed somewhere nice to eat the first evening. I had no qualms making a reservation for eight business associates at this restaurant, as I had been there several times before. We were put at a long table in the back dining area, which we had to ourselves. It was great for conversation. Everyone ordered off of the menu, and everyone seemed very pleased with the meal. The service was excellent, as I think the waitress only had us to serve. I would recommend this restaurant if you are out on a date or if you have a special occasion to observe. The food is always excellent!
A neighborhood gem! After relocating to Philly from Dyker Heights Brooklyn, we have been craving Italian food. Everything we ordered was excellent, service was friendly and attentive, perfect portions (not huge) just enough for lunch tomorrow with a small salad. Plus homemade desserts. Highly recommended.
Normally Pepperoncini is a great stop for us. Attentive staff and great food. They were not on their game last night. Baked clams were not very good. Our waitress was not attentive at the beginning as we waited nearly 10 min to be greeted at our table. Bread request was also a 10+ minute wait. Not a good experience last night but will give them the benefit of the doubt and give it another shot due to our prior experiences
The;y set the tip for our group of 7 for 20% of the final bill. Too high. Service didn't reach it, starting with putting two tables together and the tiny table had the end slot with three of us squooshed on it . We were there on a quiet Monday night. No reason we couldn't have had the two tables be the same size so we'd physically fit. Waitress disappeared several times, making us wait for simple things, like missing forks. Food was very good. Portions were nice.
We dined here before and had a great dinner. Unfortunately, when we returned on a busy Saturday night our experience was not the same. We were seated next to a family with four screaming children and to make matters worse our waitress was not attentive at all. My husband had to get up and find her at one point. Our bill was very pricey and overall I would say the food was not worth it.
Our service was wonderful, and the food was good, as always. It can get loud in the main dining room, but we were in the back room with a party of 10-12 people celebrating a birthday, and they were obnoxiously loud. We found ourselves shouting at each other to have normal conversation. We love the food and here, but they really should look into sound reduction measures. We couldn't wait to get our food and leave.
The food was delicious! They pleasantly made requested substitutions to accommodate a dairy free diet. My husband had the fish and was very happy! Service was excellent and they brought out several loaves of delicious bread. It was a little hard to spot the restaurant as we were not familiar with the neighborhood.
My family met here for a birthday dinner. The hostess and servers were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
I frequently order veal and luckily the Veal Corleone caught my attention, it was delish! Other diners had the ravioli, lasagna, and fettuccine. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
The mixed drinks offered a great variety and the draft beer list was more than adequate, although nowadays many like to know the alcohol content prior to ordering.
We were there on a Tuesday night without many other diners although the bar was very busy. The restaurant is rather small so I have to wonder if it would be tight and noisy on a more crowded night. We will definitely dine here again!
Red Sauce Sundays are a great way to end the weekend. The entree and wine specials can't be beat. Food prepared and presented in a fine dining manner, but the atmosphere is casual and intimate. Food is always delicious and never disappoints.
Tonight, our server, Kathryn was friendly and attentive. The entire staff always makes us feel welcomed.
