Pepper Tree Restaurant
Center cut filet, finished in a demi-glace & heavy cream sherry sauce
Dry Aged Bone-in New York Strip
17 oz. Seasoned to perfection & served w/ our delicious maitre'd butter
I invited a friend from out of town to join us to have dinner here. The attire for the staff was disgusting and overall nasty. The utensils where nasty with past customers food still on them. The 12oz I had ordered was raw. My girlfriend's steak was overcooked where it was dry, after a second attempt where he stood there and argued about the steak sends another plate where he states it was now undercooked. My girlfriend lost her appetite please don't make the same mistake we made. The food is so overpriced and steak tasted nasty.
We moved to Colorado from South Florida and have been looking for a restaurant with the same quality food that we enjoyed back home. The Pepper Tree is your spot! This will be our go to spot now that we know about it whenever we are looking for that excellent meal and experience. The food and service were both spot on, and would recommend to anyone looking for a great night out!
Another great dining experience. We took our son and his girlfriend and they both enjoyed themselves.
We don’t normally like steak with a sauce, but both the Pepper Steak and Steak Diane were absolutely delicious!
I picked this place because people said it is amazing, especially for date nights. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The atmosphere was amazing, we even got the window seat we requested. The staff was super nice. The problem came with our food, we waited an hour for food, got bread three times because it took so long and when we finally received our meal it was warm and some items were even cold to touch. Our food was sent back and put in the oven and brought back out. I thought we would receive fresh meals, but it was hot at least. The food wasn’t nothing special, very plain and basic. I was disappointed in the food and our experience. I had high hopes for this place. The staff was very nice, took care of our meals, but other than the atmosphere there is nothing that would bring me back to this restaurant especially for a special event.
Staff was very friendly and attentive. The pepper steak and scalloped potatoes were absolutely delicious!!! Can’t wait to go back.
I was disappointed in the social distancing of the tables. I felt they had tables way too close together. I even asked about their arrangement. I also asked Ahead of time for a table by the window to make a better seating situation, but it wasn’t honored. I’ll wait until Covid is over to return.
For an unforgettable experience, it can't be beat. The food , the service, the ambiance . It is our to go to restaurant for special times.
We booked this restaurant based on notes where it was similar class to the Capital Grille in Memphis. Well, it was not even close - old building not in a pristine location, old wooden table without white table cloth, ambience was nowhere near as classy and nice as The Capital Grille. The only saving grace was pepper steak was tender and tasty, and polite and professional wait staff. Banana foster at Owen Brennan restaurant tasted much better.
Great food, great service! Love this place. Highly recommend.
It was our first time visiting and we loved it! The food was delicious, we were able to cut the steak with just a table knife. The whole night was great and we will return soon!
Fabulous cuisine and fantastic service!
Had a great time. Would like to see smaller dinners for children.
Awesome food and service. The ambience was amazing. The night was perfect!
Great food and great service!
Surprisingly pleased! The food was good, the service was great and the view of the city was spectacular. The menu doesn't change and the tableside presentation is a bit gimmicky, but that is also part of their charm.
Highly recommended. It was expensive but you get what you pay for
Wonderful atmosphere, great views and delicious food! Love it!
If you look up fine dining, Colorado Springs, this is often the first place that comes up. I am from the Midwest and enjoy chains like Morton’s, Capital Grille, Ruth’s Chris etc. I booked this one based on its high listing (mistake). It’s a small place. Felt outdated to me. It is 38 years old, and you will hear that every time the waiter recites it to every table. It’s table side prep. New experience for me so I chose their signature dish. They pride themselves on pepper steak, but it’s just a filet with the sauce of the day added. Sauce ruined my steak. Recap. Person 1 comes and recites menu and specials. They never return to your table. Person 2 does table side prep. Person 2 also does not return to your table. Person 3 brings drinks, eventually. You never know who has your table. Waited a long time for the check. Could not leave fast enough.
Awesome as always we do MISS NEIL when he was in! Say prayers for Paula and the boys!
We have eaten at the Pepper Tree before and have really felt our experience was worth the price tag. However, this time was not even close to worth the time and money. Our $14.00 soup was lukewarm, the "team" approach to our service did not even come close to meeting expectations, my $60 "fresh seafood" entree was overcooked and the whipped cream on our $12 dessert was puddle by the time it go to our table. We were there celebrating our wedding anniversary and I'm still upset that we spent over two hours, for a table of two, of our night and A LOT of money on our meal. I contacted the Pepper Tree directly through their website about our experience and have yet to hear anything back from them.
This is our favorite place to go for a special occasion. Wonderful service and the Peppersteak is amazing!!!!
You will NOT be disappointed.
Perfect evening. Anniversary and birthday celebration. Most enjoyable evening made special by the staff. Many thanks,
Such expensive restaurant should consider its property in its entirety. I did not feel like in a fancy restaurant yet the prices were above fancy. Good food and service.
Service is always the best and the Pepper Steak is superb. Gotten a bit pricey since our last visit.....
Amazing restaurant, I really enjoyed the table side service.
Our meal and service were amazing! We loved it! Thank you!
Great wait staff. Good food. Great views. My go to restaurant for special occasions!
I have heard of this location before and wanted to give it a try for a special dinner. It does not disappoint. Ample parking, great staff, fantastic food and a decent view of the city.
Fine dining at it’s best
Great food prepared by experienced personel
Beautiful restaurant, great service, and excellent food. We will be a return customer and I recommend Pepper Tree to others as well.
Excellent service and atmosphere. A small quiet restuarant overlooking Colorado Springs. Recommend dressing in business casual or better. Dress code is not enforced. The Pepper steak is to die for! Recommend medium.
We went for my wife's birthday and couldn't be happier. We had a wonderful time. The staff was awesome and the food was incredible. We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated immediately. The view from our table was gorgeous. The wait/cooking staff was attentive without being bothersome. The food and drink came at the exact right time. The tableside food preparation was old school and impressive. You can't go wrong with either the Steak Diane or the Pepper Steak. Both were so flavorful. They have an excellent wine selection ranging from very inexpensive to "I just won he lottery!". I can't believe I haven't been here before. This will not be our last visit.
Always dependable service and excellent food preparation, even during COVID times. Great venue for special occasions.
We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and a birthday. The food was absolutely amazing and service was impeccable. The table side cooking was incredible. I would highly recommend.
The best dining experience I have had in Colorado Springs!!!
Overpriced, very average food. Scallops were way over seasoned and drenched in sauce- nothing subtle at all about the flavors. Halibut was stringy, oily and wet. So expensive for the quality they presented.
