Pepi's Restaurant & Bar
the food was excellent; the service was great; the jager schnitzel and wiener schnitzel were great.
the only problem is the very obnoxious live music from the bar bleeds over into the dinning room
I've been coming to Vail for past 20 years and make it a point to go to Pepi's every visit. Perfect place to have a hearty dinner after a day of skiing.
We four had a great experience at Pepi’s, in all respects. Our lovely server Diana was terrific, all the food was wonderful and we felt like we were back in St Anton. Highly recommended.
The best restaurant in Vail!
Very, very good food, nice atmosphere. However, the service was a little off. We were served our salad before our waitress took our drink order. It was a little disjointed but the food was fantastic so it wasn't a big deal, just a little odd. Would go back for sure.
Pepi's is always good . It's been there for 50+ years
If you like German food, Pepi's is excellent. Great ambiance and part of the original beginnings of Vail. It is iconic.
Great food and exceptional service! WE will definitely be back.
Delicious food and very nice, quaint Bavarian style atmosphere. Kids menu is limited though and $15 for a bowl of plain spaghetti is a bit much. Salmon and Truffle Gnocchi we’re both to die for.
You guys have to order the Wiener Schnitzel. It's one of the most famous food's in Pepi's
Another wonderful meal at Pepi’s although the guitar player in the bar is so loud he interferes with conversation in the dining room. Once he stopped playing the meal was wonderful!
One of the best dinner spots in Vail! Fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere.
One of our favorites is the Antler room. The elk steak is wonderful with Caesar salad. We come every time we are in town. Excellent service too!
We. were seated at a table near the door to the bar which meant constant traffic by wait staff in and out of this very noisy and busy bar scene. Even taking into account that it was a very busy night, we found service to be unfriendly and that we were being rushed. Second course was brought when we were not yet finished with the first, with the comment that the chef could not hold that food any longer. Altogether this was an unsatisfactory experience standing in contrast to earlier very pleasant ones.
This is our favorite restaurant in Vail, CO. It is on Main Street right off the slopes and offers excellent German food!!
Five stars!!
Great food!
No trip to Vail is complete without a lunch at Pepi’s!
Amazing food and service - highly recommend the Austrian red wine on the menu, as well as the Jägerschnitzel or the Venison Loin. You will not regret!
Un lugar que esta muy de paso pasa comer algo normal. El bar es una pena que lo cambiaron de ser un ligar emblemático de Vail es ahora una cafeteria mal puesta
Very good food. And service. Would have been even better without the 2 hairs in my son’s food.
I love this place, hostess and coach check ladies were great.
The food is amazing
Enjoyed our post-snowshoe lunch at Pepi's just before Christmas. Great festive atmosphere with great people watching out the windows. Cozy atmosphere with attentive wait staff and wonderful german fare. Highly recommend the Spatzle and the french onion soup. Generous portions, so share unless you have a ravenous appetite.
Best place to dine in Vail. Value; consistency; service;
Great for lunch, won’t go again for dinner. Rude hostess and noisy.
Pepi’s does not disappoint! Tableside Caesar salad was wonderful and theJaegar schnitzel was tender and plenty of mushrooms and flavor. Fedja was an excellent server, attentive, friendly and professional!
Pepi's is always a wonderful time. After a day of skiing, there is nothing better. Centrally located, incredibly nice staff and the Antler Room is always a treat for special occasions!
Not what I’d expect from a restaurant in Vail. Entire restaurant, staff, menu, etc. needs an overhaul. I’d expect better everything for the price you pay.
I loved the place, the goulash and the gnocci were amazing. Highly recommend!
We drive to Pepi's from Denver at least twice a year. Talk about delicious! The French Onion soup is definitely one of the best in the state, the Jager Schnitzel was so tender with amazing mushroom gravy and the spaetzle was perfect. A new entree, the Veal Sheika, with tomatoes, artichoke hearts, spinach with wild rice is now one of our favorites! Really nice wine selection and tried a new white wine, The Prisioner Blindfold, which was inexpensive but perfect with our meal. Pepi's is definitely one of the very best German restaurants in Colorado!
Pepi’s never disappoints. Food is always excellent. Love the cozy ambiance.
This is a nice little gem of a restaurant. The food is Austrian, the drinks are priced fairly, waitstaff was great. The ambiance was comfortable and attractive. We enjoyed a nice meal for a fair price during restaurant week 2018. All the complaints about waitstaff I read online seem to have been addressed.
Had lunch, eating schnitzel with German potatoes salad and red cabbage. I am of German heritage, and this was the best I have had in Colorado. Went for restaurant week, with special of entree and salad for $20.18. Excellent deal.
Always a treat. Good Austrian food. Better prices than others in town. Great deal during restaurant week.
They were understaffed but the hostess and our server did a fantastic job! Food was excellent and you can’t beat the patio on a sunny Saturday in September! Plus we got to meet Pepi!
We always end our yearly Vail vacation with dinner at Pepi's. It’s always good and love the German tastes. Service is personable and the semi outdoor seating is casual and comfortable. Always a favorite.
Amazing place! The service is a little slow but the NY Strip is worth every second of it!
My wife and I had a very good meal that our attentive and well-informed waiter recommended for each of us. Though the front deck was crowded we were served in a timely and well-timed fashion. We enjoy Pepi’s Every time!
Food was not as good as I expected.
Veal was dry and I thought sides were of small portions.
Had been there before and had been better on other visits.
Pepi's is a staple German restaurant in Vail. Great menu selection, excellent quality food and desserts, and a wonderful wine list. Their service is next to none as well, as, even when busy, their servers do a great job attending to guests needs. The ambience of the restaurant is also charming and quaint, reminiscent of old world german cottage-inns. While it is pricey, it is definitely worth splurging on if you're looking for one fancy meal in fail.
We had a perfect evening and meal. Great Food!!! Date night for me and the Mrs... Pepis is authentic in a BEAUTIFUL setting.
