Veal or Pork Bratwurst
Served with mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and red cabbage.
Spiced raw ground sirloin. A house specialty. Served with german rye bread.
Pepi’s is the best. A Vail tradition that never disappoints. The food is outstanding, and so is the service. You can’t go wrong with any of their specialties. However, I have to order something that comes with red cabbage and spatzle. It wouldn’t be a meal at Pepi’s without those sides. I look forward to returning on my next trip to Vail!
Everything was great except for the food. I ordered French onion soup and beef stroganoff. The soup tasted like someone dumped a container of salt in it. The beef was overly salted and tough as a rock. Would not go back here.
Was truly disappointed in the way I was treated upon arrival from Matre D. I was told I needed to give her my jacket which was a light jacket and part of my outfit due to
Make reservations for the dining room. It is very different from the bar out front. Bar is loud and raucous, but then they take to you the dining room behind a closed door and it is very nice and quiet for dinner.
Our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our meal!! Our waitress was SUPER nice and friendly and helpful!!!! Loved her! (She is beautiful too!!!) Two of us really enjoyed the vegetarian entrees- we ordered them both and shared!!!! We will definitely be back!!
Always reliably delicious.
No meat in the schnitzel but plenty of breading! For the $100 bill we had to also listen to the extremely loud apres ski craziness on the other side of the restaurant! Won’t go back!
Favorite place in Vail. Always excellent.
Cute place & awesome history. Food was German oriented. Caribou & Jaugerschnitzel great entree choices.
Did not like any of the appetizer choices.
much too noisy, music very load from adjoining bar, food just OK
Classic vail spot. Not to be missed during your visit!
The caribou was amazing. All the food was amazing.
The ambiance in the dining room is starkly different from the bar. Don't let the noise in the bar deter you from trying this.
I never give reviews but want to warn others. We hought we would be eating in the bar area with the live music. This is a separate restaurant from there. The hostess was rude- calling the patrons animals. Food was overpriced, heavy, salty and pretty hard to get down. Waitresses were in German costumes. So silly.
Very Good food and very good attention
We loved the place
We love it - it’s a special experience every time.
Unique Vail restaurant with friendly service and good food.
Pepi's is not what it used to be. Still good, but not comparable to some of the other alpine-inspired restaurants in Vail. The food is okay-ish, some of it better, some of it bland. The cozy ambiance makes up for it a little bit, but overall it could all be a bit better.
Spaetzle is terrific as is schnitzel
Interesting wine list
We have the most wonderful experience every time we dine at Pepi’s. The food is amazing and some dishes are prepared table side. It is truly an experience!
Very cozy place, excellent food. Do not miss the Käsespätzle!
Excellent food: French onion soup, suburb. Rack of Lamb, exceptional. Stroganoff, authentic Germanic and delicious. Service: just right, attentive to the right degree. Atmosphere: Once you get through the energetic and noisy bar, the dining room is a quiet haven, nicely appointed. Comfortable with touches of the home country, but no overdone. We'll definitely return.
Best meal we've had in a long time. The tuna crudo was excellent, onion soup excellent, veal excellent, wine excellent. A+. We loved the atmosphere in this place too. We had dinner reservations at 7:30pm on Saturday night. There was live music in the bar when we arrived so we grabbed a beer, it was awesome. Then our table was ready in less than 10 min. The aroma from the food in the restaurant area was outstanding. It was cozy and a bit noisy from all the folks talking at dinner but we like this. Great food, comfortable, and lively. Can't wait to go back.
Great ethnic restaurant in Vail with focus on German and Austrian fare. Enjoyed the experience.
badddddd gnocchi! amazing meats esp the caribou
Quintessential Vail, must do in the Village
Amazing as always. Thank you.
Hostess was horrible. Told us to go away when we showed up 10 minutes early. Continued bad service throughout meal.
Great place !
Pepi’s is one of my favorite restaurants in Vail. I love the style of the premises and the deliciousness of the cuisine. I recommend the duck and the venison. Leave room for dessert because the apple strudel is a must-have!
Service was ok but food and atmosphere are far from ideal... so many nice places around, definitely not worth trying this one...
The service was incredible at Pepi's. Our waitress was very attentive and prompt. Food was great too.
GREAT PLACE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PEOPLE ¡¡¡¡ THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD, A SMALL BUT VERY GOOD WINE LIST WITH REASONABLE PRICES.
A must visit everyone in Vail!
Great authentic Austrian good and ambiance but for what the food is, it’s a bit on the pricey side.
Everything was awesome. We are locals and just wanted to join a little hustle and bustle in the village. Always enjoy ourselves at Pepsi!
(FYI- your hostess could use a chill pill. Very abrupt- not to us but her overall vibe was rattled). Still, it was all GOOD.
If you need dairy free food don’t go here, there is virtually nothing without dairy save the split pea soup and a salad.
Pepi’s is a ‘must-do’ for us every ski trip. Wonderful authentic Austrian/German food. Try the brotwurst at lunch or the beef stroganoff at dinner. The waitresses are attentive, the service is timely, good central location.
