Pennsylvania 6 is conveniently located next to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. We have a private loft, a beautiful dining space for large groups and spacious main bar, and can host semi private, private and happy hour parties!View Private Dining Details
The food was very good, the service was attentive, and it wasn't overcrowded for a Sunday brunch before we headed to the theater for a show! I would go there again!
It looked like it would be a nice place for Happy Hour too.
Great pre-MSG show venue. Food selections varied -- something for everyone. Service by friendly wait-staff makes it a pleasure!
The blue crab mac and cheese is delicious. We also had the French toast at brunch, delicious also. I highly recommend this place!
LOVE this place! Fantastic for brunch! Great deal - and the food is top notch!
My friends and I loved the ambiance and vibe of the spot! The food was tasty and came fast! We thought it was a little bit pricey in total costs but hey it's New York City! I would recommend here to others.
Stopped by for a family meal on the way to Penn Sta. Food was a huge step above neighboring offerings, and the space was well-designed designed and open. Service started out excellent, but by mid-meal had dwindled to barely acceptable. Our server came and checked our reception of the food, but then seemingly left us. Finally got our check without, and then getting our coats after our meal was 10 minutes of waiting around to be noticed.
It was a good time and experience. The only negative is that there is a group of homeless people out in front of the restaurant. One of the homeless came in and begged from table to table until he was kicked out.
Excellent warm and very friendly service from everyone. Welcome greeting upon arrival food delivery bus staff water - everyone was fantastic. The food was beautiful, delicious and well balanced and presented. You will want to return again.
Varied menu with good service and an excellent chef.
A bit noisy when the bar is busy.
Food average service excellent
Penn 6 was a great dinner choice before seeing Billy Joel! Very close to MSG and a great overall experience. Our waiter seemed impatient with answering questions and was rushing us to order. We didn’t let it bother us but he definitely seemed annoyed. The food and drinks were delicious- I highly recommend the braised short rib, spinach and cheese raviolis, Tuscan salad, and Parma flatbread! There was a nice after work crowd at the bar, which is beautiful!
Very vibrant bar scene. Borders on too loud at happy hour prior to MSG events. Great proximity to MSG (1 block). And a real good NYC upscale old school interior.
I can only hope that they were short staffed because the service was pretty horrendous. When our waiter finally arrived to take our appetizer order, he pushed us into also ordering our entree which we weren’t ready for. When I pointed that out, he was obviously annoyed and asked us to “please make a decision because the kitchen was very busy”.. aside from that and their staff running around and bumping me and other people at other tables, the food was fantastic. It was the night after a snow storm hit so perhaps some of their staff didn’t make it and that’s why we had the experience we had. Shame because the food was great.
Penn 6 doesn't disappoint. It's a lively restaurant /pub. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower sides were really fantastic...the salad, salmon, ribs, chicken..everything we ordered was very good and the service was equally satisfying. It's a reliable place to eat and meet up with friends and business associates.
We had the $30 Brunch - your food plus unlimited Bellini’s for two hours. The food and service were excellent and the atmosphere was on point. I’ll be returning!
always great service (Alexis was great) and Staff always friendly
Nice dinner before Ranger game. Good bar scene and food and service was good.
The seating attendant was great and very courteous.
Our server was professional for an upscale casual restaurant.
Can easily recommend this location for any occasion, since it is convenient to both Madison Square Garden and Pennsylvania Train Station.
We spent a long weekend in Midtown to watch some basketball and see Hamilton. We had an excellent Sunday brunch and the service was outstanding, particularly our waitress Alexi. We returned the next evening for some appetizers and drinks. The food was excellent and the bartender was very good. Next time we’re in Manhattan we’ll definitely return. By the way the Oysters we’re very fresh and the fresh ground Horseradish made them delicious.
Great food and great atmosphere for getting together with friends. The bar area can get very loud, but still my go-to restaurant for an enjoyable meal in a casual setting.
Absolutely some of the worst service ever received in NYC. Have come here many times prior to an event at MSG, and this place has taken a nosedive and the staff has no clue what they are doing, seems like they are under new management.
Chicken wings were a little undercooked. Caesar salad ordered with no anchovies had several big, fat, nasty anchovies on it. Oysters were good. Waitress was very nice but the kitchen should have been better.
I was on a first date and I recommended PA 6 and my pork chop was so dry, so DRY that I was choking on a small piece of meat and thought I was going to need help. I was embarrassed to say the least and he started to notice and just as he asked if I was going to need help I finally was able to get it down. I usually send food back in cases like this but I already felt strange.
Everything was really good except for our waiter. He was attentive until he took our order, nothing after that. Food runners were great, hostess (Alexis?) was great, she ended up taking care of us after our dinners arrived, even though our waiter was wandering around.
The lights are too low but other than that very good experience and the food is always great.
We went for brunch. We would not recommend it, because the food was average and the service was the same.
We had been there for dinner and would recommend it for that. It was quite a lot better.
Great service. Bottomless brunch for $30 was perfect for our group
Called 30 minutes before our reservation for 6 people to make sure we would not be late otherwise we would lose our 1030 brunch reservation. Showed up at 1025 and seated at 1035. Service was slow and inattentive . Coffee was cold. Cornbread was good. Wings were cold. Off to a bad start. Food took forever, 3 people served first their frittatas were just ok, then 2 people served Dutch baby pancakes...skillet was practically empty, and not very good, last person got his steak and eggs....10 minutes later, when finally arrived steak was raw on a request for medium. Bacon never served. Manager was nice and apologetic. Hostess said meal would not be charged, they Gave us steak for free and 20 percent off tab. Too little, too late. Never too return.
My girlfriend and I decided to have dinner before going to a concert at MSG. As always she makes me pick the place and we both have to say we're definitely coming back with our friends next time. Food was the highlight of this restaurant.
Was just awful. There is a reason the dining room was empty on a Friday night and the bar emptied after Happy Hour. Over-priced pedestrian food and drinks. Careless, unfriendly attitude of staff. Really poor all around.
Loved Pennsylvania 6. Our Waitress, Abigal, was super sweet and helpful with recommendations. The Braised Short Rib was succulent and the wine demi was delicious. I enjoyed the fresh lobster roll. Highly recommend the Siracha Roasted Cauliflower...liked it so much that I tried to recreate it at home. I accidentally walked out without my receipt for work and when I emailed PA6 for a copy they sent one to me in less than an hour. I will definitely go back to try more of their menu.
The food was very good. The brussel sprouts were done to perfection. The service was impeccable and incredibly attentive. My only complaint, if any, was the noise level was a bit loud.
Good place to stop in for brunch if you need to be need Penn Station. It wasn't very crowded on a Sunday morning and the service was excellent. We tried the breakfast pizza, huevos rancheros, eggs, biscuits and gravy. All dishes were good. The breakfast pizza was the stand out.
Friendly staff; good food; attractive decor; energetic vibe; what more can you ask?
Service was great and food was delicious. Drinks were plentiful at brunch.
Great meeting place before a concert or sporting event. The oysters were very good and the service was excellent. I would definitely come here again
A Great place for a business lunch, diverse menu and food and service is always good. Lively bar scene in the evening
I've been to Pennsylvania 6 before and it was good. But this time both of the two items I ordered did not have all components, as described on the menu.
"Sorry 'bout that" was the response from waitstaff.
Best brussel sprouts ever! Solid food and great service! The only drawback is that the restaurant is very loud.
