Still our favorite!! We sent our parents to celebrate their Anniversary. The were "wowed"!
Food was excellent
elegant, refined, chic, delicious, gracious, sophisticated
We dined for our 1st wedding anniversary and our food was the best we have had while living in Charleston! Superb!
Having dined at 4 great restaurants in Charleston this past week, Peninsula Grill was the standout. Great food, beautiful bar and restaurant and outstanding service (waitperson Joel was attentive without being intrusive or obsequious, knowledgeable and engaging.
Easily our best overall dining experience in Charleston.
Amazing food, service and dessert. Very pricey, but delicious. Amazing ambiance outside!
Our server was extremely pleasant and attentive. The food left much to be desired as the she crab soup was mediocre at best and entrees were lacking flavor . The location of the restaurant was great and the decor nice . I did enjoy the lobster ravioli! Will not return , so many better places to go in Charleston.
As a local I took my friends here on their honeymoon visit to our fair city...What can I say? Outstanding!
Amazing, they went above and beyond for our engagement dinner. We were treated like king and queens. Highly recommend this restaurant. Food was amazing and the service was top notch.
As usual, supert service, wonderful food, and a pleasant ambience. We started with she crab soup and a lump crabmeat salad, each excellent.
Our steaks ( Myers ribeye and a center cut fillet) were perfectly prepared and the best in my memory. We enjoyed an excellent and reasonably priced Montepulciano red, and we topped the meal off with a shared slice of their famous coconut cake!
I always enjoy my experience at Peninsula Grill. Food and service are both excellent!
Amazing and innovative cuisine! Great service!
First-rate evening. Food and wine were both outstanding. Delia took great care of us.
Loved the Peninsula Grill ..great food , great service .
Lovely and elegant
On vacation first time in Charleston. Peninsula was was recommended by friends who had visited recently. We were not disappointed. Service, food, ambiance all great. A little pricey, but
knew that going in. Was well worth it.
Amazing eating experience
The food was spectacular
Our server Danielle was awesome
The coconut cake at the end was everything and more
Great service, definitely high end in terms of price. Scallops were phenomenal but Snapper was tasteless. Passed on the famous Coconut cake but the Chocolate/Peanut Butter offering was equal in our book. Very noisy
Food, ambience, service all first rate. We sat outdoors. The coconut cake lives up to its reputation.
We ate outside
It was beautiful
Inside it was lovely but a little noisy
Reliably great dining experience. Attentive and competent staff.
We went to Peninsula Grill for dinner during our Honeymoon. It was absolutely wonderful! The service from the moment we walked in until we left was above and beyond. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and even kind enough to take a few pictures of us in the garden. Save room for dessert because the coconut cake is to die for! & I dont even like coconut!! Thanks y’all so much.
Wonderful food and service, lovely ambience, coconut cake outstanding! Great experience.
Great experience! Ambiance was beautiful and the food was delicious! Wait staff worked very well together with such professionalism. The way a fine dinning experience should be.
My mother and I loved our first experience with Peninsula Grill! Our meals were absolutely delicious and the service and ambiance of the restaurant is excellent. Highly recommend dining outside and the Coconut Cake is a must! The best in town!
Short delay in getting seated, nothing major. Food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Service was impecable. Our waiter was super attentive. Overall a great dining experience.
For the price, the food was mediocre. Service was slow and wait staff inattentive. Limited menu. Very noisy atmosphere. You don’t need to visit Charleston for a restaurant like this...much like any decent steakhouse throughout the country. Coconut cake, however, was delicious.
The Peninsula Grill was an amazing experience. The choices on the menu fit both my wife and I. We had a great 25th wedding anniversary celebration and I would highly recommend the experience to anyone visiting Charleston. I started with the Dungeness crab salad, and then enjoyed the the pan-seared scallops. The kitchen then prepared a special plate for the amazing slice of cake they served.
Lovely Dinner with my Daughters. Birthday Dinner with three Daughters visiting from CA and RI. The Staff bought out Cake with a Candle even thou no one had asked for it. Very special night.
Wonderful food and service. The Peninsula Grill has become our favorite restaurant in Charleston!
We always go here on our anniversary and it is always just fantastic!!
Consistently great service. Food is very good but not very innovative. Elegant sophisticated ambiance (but not pretentious).
We have been to many of the excellent restaurants in Charleston and decided to try Peninsula. Very disappointed. My husband ordered a Meyer steak (found out the other steaks were choice and not prime. The steak was $60.00. Now for that kind of money, I expect it will be excellent. Well he left the entire steak. Now I will say they did not charge us for the steak but at those prices we were very disappointed. We were not complaining about the price. Just the quality of the steak. I had the scallops which were good but I would not go back again.
One of the finest restaurants in Charleston. Not inexpensive but always worth the money.
All of the staff are excellent. Our server Joanna was attentive but not pushy. The menu is varied and everything is outstanding.
We live in the area and have been here multiple times. Never fails to deliver on great service, top-notch ingredients and lovely presentation. We observed the staff valiantly and pleasantly negotiating around a high-energy toddler who was left to run around freely - do us a favor and leave the kids at home, folks. The prices and menu choices are not really targeted to children. Of course you must save room for their famous coconut cake.
Great food. Whether you like steak, duck, or seafood it is prepared perfectly. The service was outstanding and the coconut cake lived up to its reputation. It is expensive but well worth the money.
Everything was wonderful, decor, service, food and the coconut cake was amazing!!
We had a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding.
