From New York and read and hear so many great things about this restaurant!! The southern hospitality was on point and couldn't believe how amazing the food and service we received. I'll be back again and will definitely be at the restaurant again.
Took my husband for dinner, as I had loved the restaurant so much on my last trip to Charleston. It didn't disappoint! Beautiful restaurant (ahhh, those walls!), excellent food and great service. The Peninsula Grill is Charleston at it's best and should make this fine city proud!!!
Impeccable service and refined ambiance both inside and outside for dining. This was a return visit for us after three years. While the food was good, we did not feel it was of the same quality as we had experienced in our prior visit. Excellent wine list and knowledgeable sommelier.
Room service continental breakfast was very generous in terms of number of items included and portion size.
Great meal with friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Great Mother's Day meal. Service and food were both top notch.
Food was good not amazing. The wait staff was very friendly but service was very slow. I think something went wrong with our order. When we questioned the waiter the manager came over and apologized.
Mother’s Day dinner
Enjoyed our time in the court yard. Our waiter Justin was excellent. He was very helpful with other interesting venues to visit.
Food was wonderful!
Had the most wonderful time there!
Mother’s Day brunch. Limited menu. Quiet. Unexpectedly not busy. Service was slow. Food was good.
Highly recommend this restaurant! You must get their coconut cake.
Weekend in Charleston with my husband.
Superb dining experience — excellent service and phenomenal food.
We had a fantastic meal at one of our favorite places! Food and service was top notch and we were so happy to get a patio seat to enjoy the beautiful evening!
Lovely dinner for our college graduation celebration. Everything was wonderful. This is by far one of the nicest restaurants in Charleston with incredible food and service.
Appetizer was fabulous
Soup was outstanding
Wine by the glass was very poor for $14/glass I would have at least expected something average. Trader Joe’s beats them easily.
Entrees were average
Noise level so loud we could hardly have a conversation
We’ve eaten here several times and each time we wondered why we came back
Hope we’ve learned our lesson and leave it to the tourists.
Amazing all way around, a true charleston feel to the atmosphere. Loved every minute . Service superb . amazing food..
Good was amazing. Service excellent!
The waiter was vey professional, attentive but not intrusive. Manager and wine steward also attentive. Food outstanding, beautifully prepared and interesting menu.
We booked a reservation with friends while visiting Charleston. We were looking for a classic elegant southern dining experience, and that's just what we got. Loved it!
Verry exelent food and Services, all the time
Good - exelent
Was very nice dining. The crowd was a little older as you would expect. Our waiter was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I had the surf and turf special which I felt was a bit skimpy for the $58 price tag. The steak had several fatty tips which I certainly was t expecting at this restaurant. The coconut cake was worth the trip. Very moist and unique. This is really what I came for anyway. Overall it was a good experience.
Awesome dinner, very nice service. First time here, but will definitely be back.
We were celebrating Mother's Day with our mother, and it was a wonderful one-of-a-kind experience!
On holiday and were looking for someplace special.
Our second time here and it is a must for us on any trip to Charleston. Excellent service, food, ambiance, and especially good for special occasions. The steaks are superb and the scallops are my favorite. Appetizer of lobster trio is wonderful.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent food and service
Loved dining at PG and especially loved being outside in the springtime. Service and food were outstanding as usual!
Wonderful dinner. Beautiful outdoor setting and excellent food. Coconut cake dessert topped off the meal perfectly.
Always a fantsdtic experience to dine at Peninsula Grill. Our server Justin made the experience memorable as well as Eric the manager welcoming us back... not to be missed when visiting Charleston.
It was a pleasant experience but extremely pricey.
Much more "formal" than other great Charleston restaurants and while the food was very good, it was not the best value of all of the restaurants we enjoyed in Charleston. While I could recommend it, I would employ the caveat of "pricey" and less "casual" feel. Beautiful room.
Wonderful food, great staff made for a memorable dining experience.
My friend treated me to dinner for my birthday. It was wonderful from start to finish!
Excellent food in a sophisticated location.
Our steaks and appetisers were inventive and well cooked
Wine was fine quality and desserts really tasty.
Lighting a little dim for my taste and noise level slightly loud when the restaurant was full.
Otherwise a perfect meal.
I would definitely go again when in Charleston.
Food and service always excellent, plus in a very romantic
Very attentive service from the moment we entered. The food was outstanding - everything prepared to perfection with a nice presentation. Oysters were delicious! My husband had the bone in pork chop - not dry, delicious flavor. I had the fish special, flounder which was also cooked beautifully, light and fluffy. I loved the butterbeans and cauliflower. The chef really delivers and I would highly recommend especially for a quiet, romantic date or a special occasion.
Everything about this place was great! I’d definitely go back.
