This is a very elegant space with very good service and impeccable attention to detail. The fresh bread was piping hot and the free ceviche taster was appreciated.

Unfortunately the quality of the main dishes was just not very good. The flounder was extremely dry and flavorless, and woefully overpriced.

There are lots of Charleston tourists for whom money is no object, and this place might be for them.... but I won’t be back. Way, way WAY overpriced!

They served a halibut ceviche as a beginning horderve and it was so good.Of course,we had to end our dinner with a piece of their very famous coconut cake.It was perfect
For 4 of us to share.A lovely evening was had by the 4 of us.

Ate in our favorite spot...a both in the bar. Bar was quiet except for the too loud, ceaseless personal talking of the bartendress. Very annoying. Tartar delicious.
Lobster entree tiny and tasteless. Didn’t even taste like lobster, drowning in some orange sauce. Dessert delicious but tiny again. Service was terrific. Been going to peninsula for many years will skip for a while after this unsatisfying yet expensive experience.

Food was outstanding. Started with She crab soup which was delicious. We ordered the beef tenderloin special and a filet mignon. Both were grilled to perfection. We were unable to eat more desert but ordered the coconut cake to go. Service was outstanding. Our waiter was professional, friendly and helpful.

Just wonderful...only addition needed is soft music...piano, or recorded...white noise, soften the experience, eliminates hearing other conversations.

Excellent meal all around. Wonderful food, great service. I had two specials, a very creative and delicious salad and "wreck fish", which I had never had before. It was like a crusted halibut perhaps, flaky and melt-in-your-mouth. Maybe a bit pricey but a special occasion kind of place.

The meal and service were outstanding! Specifically, the pan-seared scallops were probably the best I've ever tasted! The ambiance was very nice and somewhat elegant, although a bit loud. The courtyard was beautiful and would've been wonderful area to dine, however was a bit too cold outside. The servers were very attentive and helpful. Overall, great experience!

Fantastic food and service. Fabulous wine list. The sautéed foie gras is always a treat as is of course the coconut cake. Too bad the prices prohibit more regular visits for most of us, but it is worth it on occasion.

Excellent dinner, although I was not feeling well. Husband thoroughly enjoyed drinks, wedge salad, steak and wine. We usually never get dessert, but were convinced to try the “house special” which was coconut cake, outstanding.

Our experience was not the same as we have had before. It was rather loud and our service suffered once we ordered dessert, which was, of course, their lovely coconut cake. Our server was slightly condescending, treating us as tourists. Mark, the wine sommelier, was warm and friendly. Menu offerings were more limited this time around as well.

We very much enjoyed our evening at the Peninsula Grill. The service is impeccable. The wait staff is well informed, attentive, friendly and professional. They were right there for all details whether changing utensils, filling water, assistance with food selections or friendly banter. The food is excellent. We had the beef carpaccio, pork, and duck. Each dish was outstanding. We plan to go again.

Still the best. The best wait staff. The food is wonderful. Had the duck Sunday night and it was the best I've ever had. Great wine list and, of course, the dessert, (especially the cheese cake) is wonderful. My daughters birthday and it was wonderful. We will always have special family dinners at the Peninsula.

I dined in and had a late reservation. The staff wasn’t pleasant and rushed my evening from start to finish. The waitress did not have much knowledge of the menu and displayed terrible customer service. However the food was decent. I expect top tier service from a restaurant of this caliber. If given a choice I would not dine here again.

Elegant surroundings and impeccable service along with high prices make this a special occasion type of place. We took advantage of Restaurant Week to have a special date night. Quail breast and oyster stew starters were the highlight for us.
