Peller Estates Winery Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Peller Estates is great!! Overall I gave 5 out of 5 for the restaurant. My boyfriend and I stay at Niagara-on-the-lake over the past Canada Day long weekend, and we had lunch at this restaurant's out door patio the very first time, we both love it and we decided come back here again at lease once a year as our special event. It become the best restaurant we have ever been to. The food, the service, the wine pairing....was wonderful. I know it's a little pricy, but it worths every penny. We ordered the tasting menue, with wine paring. Sooooo good!! Thank you to the chef and all the staffs at Peller Estates giving us such a food and art experience and memory.
Had the "5-course tasting menu" where the chef selects the courses and pairs the appropriate wine for each course. A little on the pricy side but otherwise excellent. If you chose to do this make sure to tell the server ALL your food idiosyncrasies, such as allergies (chocolate for my wife), how you like your meat done, if you absolutely can't stand sea-food, etc. You will not be told before-hand what you're getting. It's all a surprise so make sure they're ones you will enjoy.
One of the most enjoyable meals we've had in years. Lucky enough to have a gorgeous day so we ate on the terrace. I recommend putting yourself in the hands of the chef and having the Tasting Menu. Virtually everything presented to us was sublime with uniformly excellent wine pairings. The service was expert, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Maybe a bit pricy, but if you include the setting, the totally relaxed atmosphere and the quality of the offerings, maybe a bargain. We are eagerly planning another trip from North Carolina.
I took my Mother and Aunt for a special day out and it was such a treat for them. I've eaten on the patio in the past and on sunny days it is lovely. It was a little drizzly and overcast so we opted for inside but there were pelnty of diners outside as well. There are canopies that shield you as you gaze over the vineyards. A lovely spot we would return to.
We were in town for a wedding and decided to make the most of it by booking a lunch for the next day. We couldn't have been more happy with our choice! The location and scenery was beautiful - we were seated in a private table right by the window. The service was top notch and was the perfect mix between friendly and professional. The quality, taste, presentation and variety of the food was outstanding. The delictible eats were the perfect serving size and absolutely delicious. We have already been raving about our experience to our family and friends and will continue to recommend Peller Estates Restaruant as a "must" while in Niagara-on-the-Lake!
We have had dinner at Peller for at least twelve times over the years. There were four of us and we had a difficult time choosing something from the menu, when the food arrived the portions were very small and the bill enormous. A very different dining experience than we have ever had at Peller. We all discussed the changes, maybe a new chef? why the hefty bill at the end of the evening as compared to our other visits? Portion size?I don't think that we would return again, nor recommend Peller to our friends and visitors as we had in the past.Thank you.
Booked a 2:00 pm lunch but got lost and didn't arrive until 2:40. Restaurant closes at 2:30, but they were nice enough to accommodate us. Gorgeous setting and professional, friendly service. Had the Sparkling Brunch menu which started off with their sparkling wine - a welcome beginning after the long drive from Toronto. My appetizer was the liver parfait - a deconstructed parfait beautifully presented on a platter with blue cheese, walnuts and candied garnishes - absolutely the best item of the whole meal. My husband and I both had the Rib-eye - generous amount of beef done perfectly medium rare. The setting was gorgeous, looking out into the vineyards on a perfectly sunny day. Definitely will be back.
We have been going to Niagara-on-the-Lake for the Shaw festival and wineries for years. Have experienced most of the restaurants in the area but had never tried a winery dining room. Didn't know what to expect but were absolutely delighted with the service and the food. Will definitely be back.
I was expecting to rate the food outstanding, and seeing the previous ratings, it should have been, but the food, although probably the best in the area, was not to the standards of fine restaurants in NYC or Toronto. But if we are comparing this restaurant to the ones in NYC and Toronto, this restaurant would be in the higher tiers.
We both selected the 5 course tasting menu with pairings and were not disappointed. Each course was thoughtfully designed and carefully prepared. The meat was perfectly cooked and the portions were filling. The waiter was prompt, pleasant and very knowledgeable about the place, the food and the wines served. overall a very pleasant dining experience.
Had the dinner tasting menu with wine pairings. Wines were fantastic and wonderfully matched, food was creative and delicious, service was excellent - Benoit was very attentive and answered all my questions about both the food and the wines. Would definitely recommend and go back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Peller Estate Winery restaurant. Their patio is lovely and with a peaceful view of the vineyard. The food and service was everything that we expcted and we were surprised that the prices were probably about 25-30% cheaper than eating at the other well known high quality restaurants in NOL.
We went to NOL for a quiet get away and this luncheon experience was fantastic, and exactly what we wanted.
The food was good but the service was very poor. I was there for lunch on a Monday entertaining some guests from overseas. The service seemed very much slower than usual to the point where my guests commented on it which was embarrassing. It appeared that they were understaffed and the wait staff were stretched too thin which detracted from the overall experience. It took over an hour to even get an appetizer. It was disappointing when trying to show my guests what Canada has to offer.
First time visiting the Peller Estates restaurant - we chose five course chef's tasting menu with wine pairings. It was an amazing experience. Each course was a surprise and each course was incredible. The pairings were great as well. Appreciated the description and history of each wine we enjoyed and how it fit with each course. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. It took us three hours to finish our dinner and wine and we thoroughly enjoyed the dining expience and the amazing view of the vineyard as well.
This was the first time at Peller Estates Winery Restaurant and I was a bit worried that it wouldn't lived up to our expectations... but it did and more.
The tasting menu was excellent in flavor and execution. The dinning room looking on to the vineyard made the evening even more spectacular. I had also used the flower service though Open Table and the staff made sure everything was ready when we were seated.
This is a restaurant that we and our friends will be frequenting when in the area.
Truly a 5* dining experience. A must for those discerning guests visiting Niagara-on-the-Lake. My wife is lactose intolerant and they were prepared for her without any fuss or bother. They modified the preparation of her food so that she could enjoy the varied tastes of each course.
We had the 4 Course Tasting Menu, putting ourselves in Chef Jason's hands - and we were not disappointed! From the Amuse Bouche through to Dessert, every course was a surprise, wonderful to look at and even better to taste. We selected the Peller 2010 Rose Wine and it worked with every Course. And Strawberries were featured, a treat in May!
We have been to Pellers a number of times and each has been a memorable experience. We will be back again! One minor issue was that, even with a Reservation and many open tables, the first table we were offered was not a good choice; upon our request, we were moved to a better location.
