Beautiful restaurant and what a view from the patio. Food was great and reasonably priced. Not sure if they were short staffed, but service could have been better.

We dine here after shopping at Fashion Island...or we go to the Island hotel....both far better than any restaurants in the center itself...quiet, serene, good food, good service...for a Sunday afternoon. Only other temptation is Bandaras....but parking is a b___where Island and Pelican are complimentary and valet...love the service

Very positive dining experience. The view is spectacular and service is very attentive. The only suggestion would be to drop off the attitude of the hostess. We had reservations and arrived 15 minutes early and she thought we were asking for a key to heaven when we asked to be seated.

More than just a sports bar and restaurant. Very high end food and beverage offerings. Beautiful ambiance.

We had a beautiful birthday celebration at the Pelican Grill. Everything was delicious and David was a perfect server with great attention to every detail in a relaxed and friendly manner. The menu has a great variety of choices and the more refined dishes were excellent. The younger people in our group enjoyed the burger and pizza offerings as well. What was wonderful for us was that they reserved a quiet spot with a view for our party of 10. There was plenty of activity in the dining room and bar but we were able to have conversation along with our meal. I would recommend The Pelican Grill for a special occasion or just an opportunity to treat yourself!

I wish to Thank the hostess in particular for the absolutely stunning view table we received for our special anniversary dinner. We loved the view of the ocean and the dramatic sunset view. On top of that the dinner was spectacular and we were well served by our waiter. What a beautiful night.

Great evening at the Pelican Grill! We were there just befor sunset to see the sun drop behind Catalina Island. Our server was Jose, he made some excellent suggestions for dinner. We were not rushed yet we felt Jose was attentive when we wanted to order. My filet was perfect and my wife loved her ribeye. An excellent night, we will be back!

All was good except food wasn’t quite to the level expected to compete with it’s competition or price point. Great ambiance and service and food was good, but not great. Garlic mashed potatoes were served cold which didn’t help either but sure we will try again sometime.

Valentines Day dinner was a major disappointment. The food just wasn’t very good. Of course the environment was awesome, but the value proposition was poor.

We were visiting as a reunion of old college friends and couldn't have been treated better. Our waiter (Kevin) was wonderful with a great sense of humor and the perfect combination of attentive while allowing us to have our privacy. I asked for a special table when making the reservation and we were given a "private" alcove/room. It was the perfect way to end our long weekend at Pelican Hill. THANK YOU for making it such a special night!

I brought my co-worker here for the ambiance due to the oceanfront view. She truly enjoyed the Lobster Mac and cheese as I devoured the Cioppino. Great place to unwind after a long day at work.

This restaurant in beautiful Newport Beach has a patio view of the ocean. The tables are spaced nicely and the service is very classy. Everything was wonderful and the good was amazing.

Loved everything about this restaurant, from the time I stepped out of my car for valet, to leaving the restaurant. I always eat here with friends and family when they offer a deal. It is a gem to find at Pelican Hill.

Chose this for lunch with long time friends visiting from Northern California. Requested a patio table with a view. Food, view, service was superb. We will be back to enjoy it again! We had the butternut squash soup, arugla/beet salad, wedge salad, hamburger, fries, fish and fries, sorbet and gelato. It was all wonderful.., excellent presentation.

This place is absolutely beautiful. It would be what I would think Tuscany feels like or the French Riviera. The only complaint I have, and it's a small one, is the serving sizes of the appetizers. When a table of 6 orders 1 appetizer that must be known by the server to feed only 2 to 4 people, the server should definitely say something. But, of course, at the prices charged, there's absolutely no reason why 1 appetizer should only serve 2-4 people.

Beautiful venue! I had Eggs Benedict. Unfortunately, the English Muffin was so hard I could not cut it with a knife! Everything else was lovely. The Blood Orange Mimosa is delicious.

Ambiance was excellent! Food was mediocre and service definitely needs improvement. Our server wasn’t friendly at all. She never smiled even once. We were charge for an extra salad we didn’t order & sent back. She hardly checked on us. Also we asked her if they validate for valet parking, her quick short response was a simple no. No details such as there’s no need to validate for valet parking since its complimentary. Hope she was just having a bad day & not looking down on us because we didn’t come across wealthy to her eyes. The busboy was the friendly & accommodating one. The valet attendants were friendly as well. Would we come back here again? Maybe for the ambiance and if we can get a friendlier service.

Food was good, but on a heavy (greasy) side. Service was super slow. Took 30 min to seat us down, even though we had a reservation. Had to ask twice for the bread.
