Pelican Grill Ratings and Reviews
Our date night experience was wonderful! This area isn't our normal hang out spot but my husband and I are very glad we ventured out! The atmosphere and scenic view was beyond gorgeous and our server was phenomenal! He was very informative, honest and full of wonderful suggestions! His demeanor made our experience even more enjoyable! The food was delicious and I would give his place my vote for a second visit!
Fabulous burger, Sea bass a little dry. Great fish and chips.
I had mussels, shrimp and fish with spaghetti. Very tasty. Suggest that you use angel hair pasta instead of the larger spaghetti. It absorbs the flavors better and is easier to eat with the other items.
We ended up dining inside where it was stuffy. We needed to ask 4 different people to get us a highchair and the hostess was incredibly rude. Waited for drinks, waited to order. Finally the food that arrived was good and the burger was cooked well. The sangria was delicious but poorly portioned for $14 a drink. We wouldn't go back.
I had high expectations with this restaurant when I made this reservation. However, my first impression when I entered the place totally changed. The reception ladies were not very customer friendly, not welcoming and even a smile. The two ladies did not even take us to our table. Although they asked us if we wanted to be seated outside. The lady server was friendly but am not sure if she’s new. She gave us the plate and butter knife but forgot to give us the bread. Then towards the end of our meal, she gave us our bill without first asking if we want something for dessert. Overall, I still love Pelican Grill and will surely come back. Just a special mention, the cook was courteous, friendly, well mannered and his food were delicious. Thank you for the experience.
Hello - I mist admit our trip to Pelican was amazing but there were a few times I was disappointed. When I arrived I waited at the hostess area for a good 5 minutes before anyone came to say hi or help me. Waiting 5 entire minutes (to be greeted is unacceptable). I had a reservation. Finally a frantic youger girl (short asian female) came up and helped. She could have been friendlier but by this time I just wanted to be seated. My buggest disapointment was where she sat me. She asked me about my reservation stating outdoor seating and I said yes. Once outside sat me down in the middle (right in fromt of the doors and all the hustle. I had made a resevation days before asking to sit in the corner. This was not what I asked
for. So I am wondering why I made a reservation when ir wasn’t accomodtard or explained why I could no get my accomodatoon. Throughout my 4 hour visit the corner table became vacant a multitude of times. We will be visiting again in December and hope that my reservation request will be accomodated.Thank you.
We were staying at the resort and decided to have dinner on the property. Shuttle took us across the street as this restaurant is next to the golf club. Beautiful open restaurant, high ceilings, large bar area with big screens for sports. We were told that the sunset views are amazing from the terrace but sadly our reservation was for after sundown.
Food was great and service was excellent!
My wife and I have returned to Pelican Grill nearly every year since 2008. We stay in the area each summer for vacations. While the food was up to standard, the service was pleasant enough but seemed a bit lethargic. (Could there have been insufficient staff?)
We took friends to the Grill on Friday evening and waited for thirty five minutes just to get our cocktails. The food was good but the noise level was very loud. The waitress kept leaving the door to the patio open even after we asked her not to and each time I had to get up to close it. There was live music inside which made it very noisy. We love the restaurant, but were very disappointed in the overall dinner.
The service was outstanding, the food was delicious and the view from our table outside was very nice. Our server, Kevin, was professional, helpful with menu items and really knew wines well. We will return again soon so long as Kevin takes care of us again. The salmon was perfectly cooked and in a delicious broth that really amplified the flavor of the fish. The chocolate lava cake was the perfect way to end the meal. Everything was top notch!
