First time to Ashland, OR and Peerless Restaurant came highly recommended, so we booked a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner. A delightful treat and the food was delicious! Great service, great space, and comfortable environment. Would highly recommend!

We went for the prix fixe Thanksgiving meal. We had gone there last year, also, and enjoyed it so much we decided to do it again. We were disappointed with the food this time. The turkey was a bit too salty, the broccolini was not cooked well and the desserts were mediocre, if that.

The atmosphere, however, was wonderful, the service superb, and we and our friends thoroughly enjoyed dining together.

Spent a lovely Thanksgiving there. Fabulous soup to start after a nice amuse. The turkey was moist and perfectly cooked. However, I did expect more than two small slices. The mushroom stuffing was extremely tasty and a good size portion. The deserts were not particularly memorable - a mini-pumpkin pie and two other small one-bite sweets.

Service is impeccable and our table was perfectly suited for our group - quiet and tucked away as we had asked.

I have dined at the Peerless before but it had been a few years. We were very disappointed on the limited menu, the portions and the prices. Very sad to say we probably wont return for dinner, probably just for drinks... they make a good Moscow Mule.

Food was good, as always. Ambience was good. However, the selection of entree's on their full sized meals (they also serve tapa's) was very limited. Only five selections. Wines were overpriced, with no inexpensive alternatives.

For an anniversary dinner or a girls' night out, Peerless never disappoints! Nice garden for outdoor dining in summer and cozy indoors in winter. Ample portions and nice wines.

We will definitely return. I am comparing Peerless to Seattle restaurants, to give an idea of the baseline. The layout and decor are very inviting, eclectic, so superior to an unnamed competitor that this will be the decisive factor. We sat near the fireplace. The food ranged from very good to excellent (the best cole slaw I have ever had, with a Thai variant equally as good). There were expensive wines that must be outstanding because the normally-priced wine was as good as any wine I have had. The staff were exceptionally friendly in a real way; you know what I mean. Peerless was so good it encourages us to visit Ashland more often.

our small plates were outstanding, the drinks were very good but the dinner entrees did not live up to our expectations. I was disappointed to see so few salad options. the ambiance was wonderful and the service was very good. I WOULD visit again and stick to sharing small plates as the meal.

We wanted a special place the night before a long journey. Peerless is a warm, comfortable place with exceptional food. My wife declared her chicken dish the best she’s ever had. The wine was just right and service friendly and knowledgable.

It was our first time and we were recommended to go there. We went for our 25th wedding anniversary, the restaurant just started serving their fall menu. We didn't find the food to be as overwhelming as we had thought it would be. But the food is above average and creative. We will try the next menu offerings after fall and see if we like those choices better. I had the duck confit which was prepared very well but I did not like the accompanyments. My husband had braised lamb shank which he described as good but nothing special. For the Ashland area this is one of the better restaurants.

We dine here every time we come to Ashland and it is always a treat.
The food is exceptional and seasonal. They have an excellent selection of wine, and they usually create drinks with names that refer to current plays at OSF, which is fun since we often come to see theatre.
Love this restaurant!

Open table had immediate times so we had no waiting. We got seated in a quiet back room with beautiful but eclectic furnishings. We ordered the special potato salad of the day and it was spectacular! All our entrees were great especially the lamb. Great service and delicious food!

What a wonderful evening from start to finish. Great cocktails, appetizers and starters. The entrees, scallops, chicken and steak were all delicious. The servers were friendly, professional and unpretentious. Atmosphere was cozy and warm. Would definitely go to this restaurant again. Our favorite dinner of the trip.

Very attractive restaurant with indoor and (beautiful) outdoor seating. Food was all very good, as well. On the expensive side, but worth it.

We did have some issues with service this evening. We had a 6:00 dinner reservation, as we had a play to get to at 8:00. But when we arrived (on time), we found our table was not ready and were not seated until about 6:10-6:15. Usually, in Ashland one of the first questions the waiter asks is, "Do you have a play this evening?" He did not, and the service was was quite slow. We finally spoke up about the show, but still had a hard time getting his attention. A different waiter was wonderful in helping us out when we flagged him down, and we did make our show after a hurried dessert.

Also, I had ordered the pork loin to go with a flight of some very nice Pinot Noirs, but they apparently broke the "wine pouring system" while preparing my flight and we're not able to serve those wines. The only Pinot on the menu served by the glass was one I was not interested in. No offer was made to open a bottle of a different wine, so I chose something else which did not pair very well.

But all in all, the group did have a fine evening. Since we have been to Peerless before, I chalked it up to just "one of those nights".

Any "non-Greek" restaurant that puts spanakopita on the menu must be proud of it, and Peerless justifiably is. We split that entree as an appetizer before splitting the excellent halibut (and superb sweet potatoes). The pace of the meal was perfect. Patio dining is spacious and comfortable. The wine list favors Oregon wines, as it should, with many high end choices. We sampled three wines – one being over $100 per bottle – in a flight of 2-1/2 ounce pours, and another three more affordable ones. Although we haven't tried every Ashland restaurant, its likely that this one is the best in town.

sadly, the food at Peerless is no longer peerless. We have eaten at this restaurant during our annual OSFA sojourn for years, but this year the small plates were problematic. Overcooked lamb, pork buns that weren't buns and tasted awful, everything cold by the time it reached us, etc. The hamburger was OK, but that is hardly gourmet dining.

Peerless Restaurant was an elegant and pleasing experience from beginning to end. Outstanding service and a list of intriguing specialty cocktails got us off to a good start. Every item we chose from the menu was delightful and it seems likely that would be true no matter what we selected. We had a leisurely meal that fit the budgeted time without any concerns. Prices are no bargain, but it seems reasonable to pay a bit more for this level of excellence.

Peerless came highly recommended as a good place to eat with a great bar. We found the food and drinks to be okay but nothing exceptional, with the exception of maybe one or two dishes at best. The quality of food compared with the cost and portion sizes were, in our opinion disproportionate.

I used your service to book the table. Never done so before and probably won't do it again, because I (thought) I had made a 6:30 reservation and it apparently got entered as 6PM Fortunately Peerless has a wait policy and also they called us as we were pulling up in front at 6:25 for our dinner date with two dear 90+ year old friends! Whew! As we say in Ashland, All's Well that Ends Well" but it would have been awful if they had given our table away! I like to talk directly to a restaurant when making a reservation for a number of reasons and I just added this experience to the list. Thanks, PBT
