Named "The Most Beautiful Restaurant in All of Oregon" (by onlyinourstate.com in 2017).

Peerless Restaurant & Bar is a lively neighborhood restaurant, wine and cocktail bar located in the heart of Ashland Oregon's Historic Railroad District. It's an easy walk to the Downtown and to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Our dinner menu features an array of small & mid plates, as well as steaks, seafood & vegetarian entrees that capture the flavors of the seasons and bounty of the region.

Just a garden apart from the restaurant is our historic boutique 6 guestroom & suite inn THE PEERLESS HOTEL, which was named in 2017 as one of the "10 Best Wine Country Hotels in the United States" by USA Today

We were travelling from WA to CA, and this just stood out on Opentable. I'm so glad I went! Probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I highly recommend! Great tasting food. Our waiter Chad was awesome. Great experience and stop for a long day of travel.

Our first visit to Peerless on a gift certificate. Food is very expensive for what you get. Paid $16 for 2 very small crabcakes. My husband's hamburger was no better than one from a much lower cost restaurant. My french onion soup was authentic and tasty. Service was attentive.

We just love this restaurant and celebrate birthdays and anniversaries here every year. You just can't find a better steak, roasted chicken, and special little vegetable twists anywhere, not to mention the finest sweet vermouth ever, the Campano Antica! Peerless is definitely peerless in Ashland!

The waiter was excellent. . .the best we have had there. He was very observant of our needs and went beyond the call of duty to please us. There were no surprises and he was aware of our needs as old folks!! Keep Him!

We're not upscale types so when my wife and I went to Peerless for Christmas Eve we were expecting to spend more than we usually can on a meal. Maybe we didn't have expensive clothes and they picked up on that as we got shoved into a cubby hole fit tightly between two tables and across from a nice wide open table for two in a window. We did have reservations too. That other table sat open for most of our stay. The meal was great, we both enjoyed our selections very much. The waiter was friendly and helped pick out some nice choices of wine. But, he did not comeback to see how everything was until we were about done with our meals. We made the best of it being Christmas Eve and we always feel fortunate to have what we have, but we were short changed on what was a very expensive meal for us. Since we just moved here we'll give the restaurant another go. It is a nice place so hopefully we'll be treated better and given a nicer table the next go around.

This is an excellent restaurant for a first class dinner in Ashland.
The food is good with a lot of unique selections and an excellent wine list.

Yummy wonderful dinner this week. Waiter was professional and efficient. We started with cocktails (excellent) and the harissa roasted cauliflower. It was excellent. We then shared the frisee and beet salad... I would not order that again... nothing special and dressing was too sweet. I had the lamb shank, cooked perfectly... and my husband had the hanger steak... again, lovely and cooked perfectly with great flavor. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to going again.

We had a very enjoyable meal. The service was attentive. The food was properly prepared and delicious. The peerless is not an inexpensive restaurant, but you can see and taste the quality of the chef's skills in both the ingredients used and their preparation.

Southern Oregon does not really have a lot of fine dining establishments. I am happy to say that the Peerless deserves to be included in the short list of those that do deserve to be called Fine Dining.

Wonderful food, awesome staff...took my girl on a date here. Impressed her with reservations lol but she absolutely loved it. The delicious food was fantastic. Our waiter was super nice. The low level music I gave me the perfect opportunity to ask my girl to dance with me.(we were the last two couples in the place) Out waiter absolutely loved that!! We had the best seat in the house....right next to the fireplace! Would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone!!

We went for the prix fixe Thanksgiving meal. We had gone there last year, also, and enjoyed it so much we decided to do it again. We were disappointed with the food this time. The turkey was a bit too salty, the broccolini was not cooked well and the desserts were mediocre, if that.

The atmosphere, however, was wonderful, the service superb, and we and our friends thoroughly enjoyed dining together.

Spent a lovely Thanksgiving there. Fabulous soup to start after a nice amuse. The turkey was moist and perfectly cooked. However, I did expect more than two small slices. The mushroom stuffing was extremely tasty and a good size portion. The deserts were not particularly memorable - a mini-pumpkin pie and two other small one-bite sweets.

Service is impeccable and our table was perfectly suited for our group - quiet and tucked away as we had asked.

I have dined at the Peerless before but it had been a few years. We were very disappointed on the limited menu, the portions and the prices. Very sad to say we probably wont return for dinner, probably just for drinks... they make a good Moscow Mule.

Food was good, as always. Ambience was good. However, the selection of entree's on their full sized meals (they also serve tapa's) was very limited. Only five selections. Wines were overpriced, with no inexpensive alternatives.

For an anniversary dinner or a girls' night out, Peerless never disappoints! Nice garden for outdoor dining in summer and cozy indoors in winter. Ample portions and nice wines.

We will definitely return. I am comparing Peerless to Seattle restaurants, to give an idea of the baseline. The layout and decor are very inviting, eclectic, so superior to an unnamed competitor that this will be the decisive factor. We sat near the fireplace. The food ranged from very good to excellent (the best cole slaw I have ever had, with a Thai variant equally as good). There were expensive wines that must be outstanding because the normally-priced wine was as good as any wine I have had. The staff were exceptionally friendly in a real way; you know what I mean. Peerless was so good it encourages us to visit Ashland more often.

our small plates were outstanding, the drinks were very good but the dinner entrees did not live up to our expectations. I was disappointed to see so few salad options. the ambiance was wonderful and the service was very good. I WOULD visit again and stick to sharing small plates as the meal.

We wanted a special place the night before a long journey. Peerless is a warm, comfortable place with exceptional food. My wife declared her chicken dish the best she’s ever had. The wine was just right and service friendly and knowledgable.

It was our first time and we were recommended to go there. We went for our 25th wedding anniversary, the restaurant just started serving their fall menu. We didn't find the food to be as overwhelming as we had thought it would be. But the food is above average and creative. We will try the next menu offerings after fall and see if we like those choices better. I had the duck confit which was prepared very well but I did not like the accompanyments. My husband had braised lamb shank which he described as good but nothing special. For the Ashland area this is one of the better restaurants.

We dine here every time we come to Ashland and it is always a treat.
The food is exceptional and seasonal. They have an excellent selection of wine, and they usually create drinks with names that refer to current plays at OSF, which is fun since we often come to see theatre.
Love this restaurant!

Open table had immediate times so we had no waiting. We got seated in a quiet back room with beautiful but eclectic furnishings. We ordered the special potato salad of the day and it was spectacular! All our entrees were great especially the lamb. Great service and delicious food!
