Slow, not very happy staff, only 1 dessert
It was smaller than expected and we were kind of uncomfortable at the fact that there was an event and we couldn’t really enjoy our food or take our time. I expected more since it had been recommended to me.
We had brunch here. I had the bacon and eggs while my friend had the lobster sandwich... My eggs and potatoes super dry and tasteless. The best thing about my meal was the toast. 😣 My friends sandwich was good but if you’re really hungry as we were, you will be highly disappointed (the sandwich was kid sized). The service, while all were super friendly, was slow and seemed really chaotic. We kept having to ask for water and would have gotten a second round of mimosas but didn’t have the chance. Maybe we got the worst things on the menu but no recommendations were given. We waited almost 15 mins to get our check. With “valet” parking in back for $15, we spent about $100. We went here to try something new but unfortunately it will be the last time. Too many brunch places in LA to waste another $100 on a “hope it’s better this time” meal.
Loved the atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Food was good.
The food was the best part by far (would recommend the Mac and Cheese). Fantastic ambiance with glowing lights and good views. Cocktails were great. Servers were attractive, attentive, and friendly.
We loved it! The meatballs were amazing!! Definitely worth the drive!!
My sister and I were visiting from Australia and it was our last night in LA. So we decided to have dinner and drinks at Pearl's. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was fun.
The service was amazing! Very accommodating. Definitely going back!
The food is excellent the atmosphere is awesome we had a great anniversary
Cute place! They were very accommodating when the heat got too hot in the garden area. We got moved into a cooler place.
I hate to leave bad reviews, but this one is necessary. The Waitress was horrible we had to get up and go find her in order to get help multiple times. The men who brought out the food and piced up the dishes were amazing and a lot more helpful to us than the waitress so they get 5 stars. There was also a confusion in the bill that could of been avoided if the waitress would of been a lot more specific and less rude. Food was okay service was just very mediocre.
The place is too adorable! the Decour and design is super sweet and the food was delicious. the cocktails were amazing, and the service was great. What more could you want? What I especially loved about it was that it was not a big huge place it was small and boutique.
Muy chica la mesa no cabían los platillos
This place has great potential - nice elevated patio overlooking Sunset Blvd, nice little bar, friendly enough staff. The food was fine, but you won’t walk away thinking what a great meal you had. Someone is cooking there, but no one is cheffing.
The place was beautiful for pictures and for the asthetics but the food was subpar. The chicken on the burger was slightly dry which made eating the whole thing a haste as they don’t provide any sauce besides hot sauce. The main down point was the fact that I was served spoiled avocados on my avocado toast. That was entirely disrespectful because it’s obvious to tell when an avocado is pasted ripe and shouldn’t be served especially if you’re charging $9 for it. The avocado tasted very sour and was obviously very brown. The taste caused me to be physically sick. The service was also poor because the waitress rarely came around to give us water refills and forgot our order of avocado toast at first but then brought out the disgrace. 10/10 would NOT recommend unless you’re willing to be overcharged for subpar food.
Had to wait 30minutes past our reservation time, but the hostess was really kind about it. When we placed an order “for the table”, our waiter didn’t say anything.... and it came out as a sandwich cut in half... we were a group of 8. So we each had 1 bite. She probably could have said that was not a “for the table” style dish. Otherwise the rest of the food an ambiance was great!
The food was good but the overall experience was uneventful.
We had a wonderful time. Our reservations were on a Monday night at 8pm. We got in right away and the service was excellent. I had the petite filet mignon which was cooked to perfection and my boyfriend had the lobster press (phenomenal). The view is great and the decor was fun and different. Highly recommend!
Not good. My friend got a glass with lipstick on the rim..asked for another one and the waitress didn't bother to apologise . Next thing you know,he gets a chipped glass.
I tried the lava cake and tasted like rubber. Horrible. They did take it off but i would rather enjoy and pay than taste something not right .
We finished our drinks and went somewhere else where we had a great time with great service and delicious food . 😊
Two of the three waiters were outstanding!!!! Food was a bit slow to come out.
Beautiful setting with great ambiance. Cozy and sheek playing old movies in the background in the dining room. Fantastic service and great food. Would recommend to anyone having a special occasion, out on a date or just a fun night out with friends.
Service was so on point all around. Everyone was really nice as well. The food was delicious and ambiance was beautiful!
Great lobster! I wish they would continue their Wed night lobster special; still a great deal & a great time!
It’s amazing to have such a gorgeous view in an affluent Section of the Sunset Strip. The bites were fun & the cocktails were well made. They have a full bar & the service is attentive & caring. I’m a fan. I’ll be back. Thanks Pearl’s.
Our dinner was amazing as usual. Michelle was an amazing waitress and made our experience so much better. i come to pearls all the time and i love it. hands down my favorite restaurant ever
Enjoyed spending my Father's Day with my family. Will definitely be back!!!
There may be several factors as to why there was not good service, but this was the experience coming here for dinner on a Saturday night (first time being here, btw):
- food is overpriced and meh quality (steak was overcooked, then when we received a new steak, the meal just wasn't good at all)
- rooftop experience is okay, but may come with cigarette smoke and hard to hear the people you came with because of loud music
- waitstaff was oddly slow (we waited 25 minutes before we got a server)
Beautiful patio that was half indoor, half outdoor. Great food, nice service. Would definitely go back.
Food choices are very limited meat balls are below average very disappointed with the entire ambiance.
I loved Pearls! The service we recieved was incredible! We visited on Sunday June 10th after a long day in Santa Monica. My group of friends and I were not from the area, so we ended up pushing back our reservation a few times. Each time I called, a lovely host happily accommodated each "push back", which I absolutely appreciated! I came in with a group of seven guests. When we walked in, it looked very busy and at the time we were greeted by Jared our server. Let me tell you, my friends and I all had to agree that he may have been the BEST server we have ever encountered. He was very patient when we came to ordering. Some of us, including me were somewhat complicated, which ended up with an extra plate a food we didn't order and a delayed time waiting for a meal. But, our server realized this and when they brought the food we didn't order, he said we might as well have it,which was pretty nice! And as for the food that got delayed.. he apologized and kept making sure we all were enjoying everything, and made sure our drinks were always replenished. We wrapped up our dining around 11:30PM, someone from my party asked Jared if he had anything that they do for a birthday, like ice cream or something... Jared replied that the kitchen was closed. But, then was asking "How about shots?" who could resist. He did NOT have to even offer that. Jared went above and beyond our expectations. Also, I have to add that there was clearly only two people working the floor, he could have easily neglected our whole party. Instead, Jared demonstrated the epitome of what it means to be in hospitality. I know these are all little things.. but he made us enjoy our night so much better. Thank you so much! And to Pearls management, you are lucky to have such a superstar as an employee! Keep it up Jared! :)
Kevin the manager is awesome. Our server Mallory was super sweet and helpful. She was attentive and made us have a really great experience.
The ambiance was exactly what I expected. Nice, something different from the average restaurant. There service however, was awful. Our reservation was at 8:30 we placed our food order at 9pm & the food didn't come out until 10pm. The restaurant wasn't busy or crowded at all. Our server only came to drop off our drink order and didn't come back until AFTER our food had arrived an hour later. Once she saw everyone had finished eating she dropped off the bill, came back 20 mins to collect the payment & left again. The wait staff could definitely use some help.
Great service and nice vibes. Nice location on Sunset Blvd.
Wonderful Mother’s Day brunch!! Pearl’s was very accommodating even as we kept. Adding people to our reservation. The food was excellent and our server was the perfect mix of funny, friendly, thorough and attentive. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be making the trek over the hill again very soon to come back!!
Expensive for small portions but very nice ambiance
Ambiece is decent. Food was not very good and overpriced for what we got.
Good food, server was a little busy so not as attentive as she probably would be otherwise. Nice being outside
Absolutely looooved I’ll defintley be back :)
Great views of the city. We always love the food as well as the staff. They could not be nicer or any more professional. Great burger as well as all the side dishes. Try Lobster night and the best place for oysters everytime.
Overal we enjoyed our time here. A group of 4 of us met up after not seeing each other for awhile. It’s a great location and the ambiance is very nice. We were disappointed by the short menu but we did enjoy our food.
