Pearl's Saltwater Grille
….enjoyed overlooking the Herb River
Nestled in the heart of Sandfly lies one of the most closely guarded secrets when it comes to seafood restaurants. Pearl's Saltwater Grille has been a local favorite for more than twenty years. The menu is a Seafood Lover's Paradise. From Parmesan Crusted Grouper to Crab Stuffed Flounder to Jumbo Grilled Caribbean Shrimp there is something for everyone at Pearl's Saltwater Grille. Landlovers may select from choice steaks, chicken or pasta specialties.
Enjoy the Spectacular view of the Georgia coastline and the wild life that inhabits the marshlands while you dine.
Great food and atmosphere. Good and courteous service
This was my second time visiting Pearl’s (I travel to Savannah only on occasion), and this times was as good as the first. The food was excellent, as was the service. You cannot go wrong.
A great choice for seafood, especially local flounder, shrimp and crab. It has early seating and is a great air conditioned spot to watch the river as the sun goes down. It also has well crafted cocktails.
Spectacular food tonight (as usually the case here). Delicious oysters on half shell. Incredible flounder and spectacular shrimp all perfectly prepared. Service off tonight.
While having breakfast at Two Cracked Eggs in Savannah GA our waitress recommended Pearl’s Saltwater Grille. It was a great recommendation! We were lucky enough to get the prix fixe and were absolutely delighted! Wonderful hush puppies, fresh bread, delicious she-crab soup. All four of us had seafood with the fresh vegetable sides, very pleased. The peach cobbler dessert! Over the top! Yum, will be going back.
Our waiter was friendly and was able to get us an off menu item, Daufuskie oysters OMG thank you!
Another amazing meal with excellent service from this lovely little gem.
Fun and delicious food. I had so much and our server Hootie was amazing! I will definitely be coming back!
We've been here a few times now cannot find fault. Service is fantastic, food is excellent, very accommodating to any requests we've ever we've had. While it is not inexpensive certainly worth every penny. Highly recommended.
Fabulous seafood in a great ambiance Love the sunsets over the marsh. A family favorite!!!
Great location, ask to be seated by the window. Pretty river views.
Nice menu, delicious food, especially the hushpuppies. Excellent service by Houston.
Busy night, service was slow. Loud and tables crowded together. My fish was cold and did not taste good. Not sure if I will return.
Food was good, service was excellent. Restuarant sits on the edge of a salt marsh, next time we go, I’ll be sure to ask for a window table. Waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu.
Excellent food and service!
Great, scenic spot for dinner. The oysters were excellent. Waitstaff was most helpful and knowledgeable about all the menu choices.
Wonderful place. The hush puppies they bring out as an appetizer are fabulous. Dinner was delicious. We had the seafood platter and the stuffed flounder. Everything was cooked perfectly and you couldn’t have asked for better service.
Noisy, and waitress not available at times. Otherwise a good experience. Will go again.
I came to celebrate my birthday. Most of the room was filled with a huge gathering, yet it was still quiet. We had a small delay in getting served, but Drew came to the rescue and took very good care of us. The manager also came to talk to us and I was given a birthday dessert on the house. Who can ask for more?
Our party enjoyed all of our entree's. The crab dip was generous and very good.
The steamed shrimp were a large size. I had the low country boil. The shrimp were cooked perfectly.
Service was very good.
Always a good place to bring out of towners. Food is good and view even better. Last night, though, I had a bad experience with the food. I was not even able to cut the fried tomatoes and the salmon in the sandwich looked and tasted like tilapia. However, I was the only one. All 3 others had a good experience and this never happened to me before. We'll continue to patronize Saltwater Grill.
Absolutely fabulous menu of local, fresh seafood and fantastic cocktails. We were there with a party of 6 for a Wedding Anniversary, and were seated in front of a large window overlooking the inland waterway. The service was spot on without being intrusive, and all of the dishes were both delicious and artistically plated. We had a good selection of appetizers, salads, and entrees - and there was not a single complaint from anyone about their selection... And this was a group of foodies who are rarely completely satisfied about everything.
Some of the standouts... the She Crab Soup, the "Chef's Favorite" (lump-meat crab cakes and shrimp over risotto), and the "Dry Dock" (Shrimp with mushrooms and broccoli over Linguini Alfredo).
Always a nice dining experience - beautiful views, great service, delicious and varied menu...and the best little hush puppies, as well as wasabi mashed potatoes anywhere!
Took friends who wrote visiting. Had a great table overlooking the water. Our server was very good and the food was very good
Don't come here for anything but the view.
We brought family from out of town and were embarrassed. The quality of the food is mediocre at best and this is not an inexpensive restaurant. The menu says "wild rice" but it is not. It is an overseasoned, salty mixture of varieties of rice. Inedible. The broiled grouper had orange very salty stuff on it and was overcooked. The veggies were zucchini and yellow squash- the cheapest vegetables that you can buy. Save your money and look at view from somewhere else.
We have always enjoyed going to this restaurant. The food is very good and it is in a beautiful location with a beautiful view. It has a soothing atmosphere. And they have the best coupons for birthday of any restaurant in town.
Perfect as always. Great food and views
One of my favorite places. Slammed for Labor Day weekend, but this is when they tend to especially step it up. Certainly true for the crisp well dressed Caesar with crispy croutons. The red snapper special involved a spectacular piece of fish with a fabulous buerre Blanca with cappers over delicious orzo. The fried shrimp was not quite as good as usual, perhaps due to the excessive demands that evening on the fryer temps.
Sean has a great sense of humour and did an excellent job of serving. The menu was ample and had several choices that caught our eye. Delightful dining experience!
Enjoyed supper with family on a Saturday night. We had wonderfully prepared food, friendly accommodating servers and beautiful view.
Pearl's is a very good restaurant that is deserving of the long-loyal fans that it has accumulated over the years. The food is delicious. Pan seared snapper on Orzo was superb. Deep fried shrimp was as good as I've had. The crab cake was a B+, better than most, but not as good as it could be. The fried green tomatoes were a solid B. Hushpuppies are very good.
Pearl's isn't trendy (good thing). The service is very good, not exceptional, but good. It's a very comfortable restaurant with a solid kitchen, not overly pricey (five adults and a bottle of wine ~$200).
The service and food were all excellent!!! I called to make changes, and everything was set and order upon our arrival. Our server Shawn was an excellent host/waiter.
Every time I have visited Pearls it has been a wonderful experience the service, the food, the atmosphere has always made the occasion perfect. The staff is always friendly and helpful even without a reservation, they are supportive of the patrons needs and ready to help with understanding the menu. Thank you for making my husbands birthday dinner special!
This was our last attempt to dine at Pearl's since our last two visits were less than enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised this time that the restaurant was much quieter than on our previous visits. We had an excellent table overlooking the river and the service and food were very good. Just prior to our departure, however, a large group arrived to celebrate a birthday, and they were seated near our table. It was obvious that this group was going to be boisterous and loud, as they began to display those tendencies almost immediately upon arrival. This has happened to us several times in the past at Pearl's. The restaurant has an area for groups that is not in the main dining area and should seat large groups there. Fortunately, our meal was over and we left before our evening was ruined.
Lovely evening with great food and service! View of inter coastal is spectacular!!
Drew provided great service and recommendations about menu selections. We enjoyed the delicious entrees and the peaceful view.
Great spot for a wonderful meal! Awesome view and great food!
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We have never been disappointed by the food or the service. Every seafood entre I have had has been delicious.
Favorite dining locale when staying in Savannah
Food is outstanding and the waterfront is so relaxing and inviting
Service is 5 star
Pearl's Saltwater Grill is always one of my favorites and the one that I recommend to visitors to Savannah as well as to friends when we are thinking of a place to go for dinner. The food is always prepared well. It is quality for the money spent. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The location on the marsh is scenic especially at high tide.
Excellent food and service!!!
