overall ... kind of disappointed.
2nd time here. Really looking forward to trying it again.
However, the only really good thing about tonight was the view.
The food was barely just ok and the service was just not good.
Drew was our server ... seemed like we were forgotten a couple times. we did see him taking orders at a table over in the bar area in addition to his section we were sitting in but half of the tables around us were empty and dirty almost the entire time we were there.
wanted a box for our appetizer ... didn't get it until after our entrees arrived.
told him I wanted a specific drink with my meal ... finally got it when I had about 3 bites of my entree left.
atmosphere In the restaurant was lackluster. again ... dirty tables... saw a young lady finally go to reset a table and she was carrying the side plates for that table under her arm with the food side against her shirt under her armpit ... REALLY?!?
My wife's filet was undercooked and had no flavor. the butter for her baked potato was solid cube.
overall ... have no idea when and or if we will be back ... severely underimpressed.
It was a great place to take friends from New Jersey who wanted good, local seafood. We had a great corner table by the window with a nice view of the river. The food portions are generous and the hushpuppies are the best anywhere. Service at the bar and table was very good.
The Oysters Florentine were really good as an appetizer, hushpuppies were just ok, my shrimp on my bed of greens/ salad was very tasty and my Husbands tuna was delicious.
Too full to have dessert.
Loved the service and waitstaff.
Wonderfully prepared and delicious selection of fresh seafood. Service was perfect. The view is gorgeous
Multiple trips to thus restaurant and we have NEVER been disappointed. Nuff said!
Very good food and good view. Not far from Skidaway Islamd state Park.
For an early dinner, it was quiet, friendly service.
We love Pearl's Saltwater Grill! The shrimp is always a favorite but we love trying the specials, too. The view is wonderful, too, and you may see dolphin jumping during your dinner!
We have dined at Pearls Saltwater Grill whenever we come down to GA from NY and always visit Pearls. The food is the best!! Service was great.
Great experience. Waitress gave excellent service. Great food. Great scenic view.
Great food ! The staff was very friendly and professional. Service was very prompt and our waitress was very nice. The view of the marsh at sunset was amazing. We were extremely happy we with the staff for assisting with my wife being in a wheelchair. I'm glad we made reservations because it was fairly busy. The only advise I would give the restaurant is to add additional handicap parking in the gravel lot across the street. Only paved spots by the front door right now.
Overall highly recommended! I will come back next time I visit Savannah.
Crab appetizer and entree were short on crab and long on breading- soggy. The bacon wrapped shrimp was the only bright spot of our four meals. Pleasant enough staff and location out of the hustle and bustle.
The honor requests for tables with the best views. Servers are always friendly. Quality is consistent.
Our service was wonderful and the food was well prepared
We had a delicious meal with a beautiful view over the marsh at dusk! This is one off the most beautiful places for a meal in Savannah!
This last time, we went there for our 60th anniversary. The food quality, quantity and wait staff were all superb. Also the fixed menu was an outstanding value.
After 3 days of dining out in Savannah, I'll say that Pearl's was the best! It has a lot to make the evening memorable. The wood interior is nice; the coastal view is incredible (fun to watch the egrets and dolphins); menu is extensive; and the food is great. It was easy to get a reservation, thanks to OpenTable. I'm looking forward to going back.
No BBQ ribs early evening midweek!!!!
Fries were luke warm
Poor value for money
Barman was friendly and helpful.
Took my boyfriend for his birthday. It was his first time and he enjoyed it. We will be coming back. I loved it the first time I took my mother.
Lovely marshland view from the windows creates a calm environment in which to crane-watch and enjoy a broad-ranging menu in this wood and window filled restaurant. Guests didn't begin to fill the Monday evening tables until 6:30 so early dining without reservations isn't a prob.
The she-crab soup is rich with a generous offering of crab. Accompanied by the apple pecan mixed greens salad, this combo was perfect for a light dinner. My companion enjoyed the succulent lightly breaded fantail shrimp dinner which was perfectly fried.
A decent craft beer list (a few more local beers would be welcomed) and a lovely wine list provide beverage choices. We enjoyed our meals so much we didn't check out the desserts.
I’ve enjoyed dining here the few times that I’ve came here to eat, the hush puppies are always good as well as the the appetizers, for the main course there’s a wide variety to choose from on the menu.
Food was slower to come out than we would have liked, but the place was full. Our server was excellent, and the ultimately was also excellent. Overall a nice experience in a very popular restaurant.
Wonderful dining area with large picture window to experience the beautiful waterfront at a slough in Savannah. Highly recommend especially for out of town guests.
Service was poor and the bartender was unskilled and argumentative.
What a lovely place, and the seafood is delicious. I had grouper which was not as flaky as I thought it would be (but it was supposed to be that way). I had gone with my husband a few weeks earlier for Mother's Day. Scrumptious crabcakes. He loved the 3-way shrimp. Everyone gets a view of the marsh no matter where you dine, but the window tables are the best.
The food is always good and such an enjoyable experience.
Great service and lovely view. Grouper entree was a bit overdone.
excellent food and service. Plan to go back soon. Had the swordfish and tuna outstanding.
Overall. The food was ok. Two of the people in our party had fried shrimp and they were not completely deveined. One person had Shrimp Athena and found it to be inconsistently strong with lemon flavor from previous experience visits. I found the Shrimp Augratin to be very well prepared and delicious.
We had a nice table with a water view as requested, so our out of town guests could have a nice experience. The food and service were very good, and you have to love the hush puppies. It was a wonderful evening.
Beautiful view and would be an amazing sunset (it was raining). Great ambiance, and they can handle large parties (with a reservation) Tried the grouper witih crab. Delicious! The She crab soup was probably some of the best we've ever had! Definitely a top place to go when in Savannah or Tybee!!
We have been frequently to Pearls for the last ten years. However the last two times we have had terrible service.
We had requested the smaller room both times and didn't get a table there.
Our service was the worst we have ever had. And the last meal we had this past Sunday, my husband's grouper was not cooked thoroughly.
It was a very pleasant experience. Can’t wait to go again!
Best hush puppies! Excellent food and service overall. Great experience
Our table was ready for us even as the rest of the restaurant was quite full. We were slow to order but the server had no problem with it and let us chat for ages before we finally looked at the menu. I got fried shrimp and oysters which were excellent. Cole slaw was good but I wish there were other sides besides boring French fries. My friend ordered crab stuffed flounder and cleaned his plate! We had a good view of the river even though we were one table away from the windows. Pearl's is a favorite place.
This was our 2nd visit to Savannah (from Jacksonville, FL) & our 1st visit to this restaurant. We visited over Memorial Day Weekend. I had previously browsed seafood restaurants & this one peaked my interest so I reserved a table.
We arrived on time (via Uber). I did notice that parking was limited & full when we got there (1830) & when we left (1945). There were a few parking spots next door to the restaurant since that building was all boarded up (apparently a business that folded). Main parking lot is across the street & U-shaped (one way in & one way out). Both lots are free & on gravel.
Our table was ready & we were seated right away. Cloth napkins & tile floor. We sat at a table by the window which overlooked deck on the water (which was nice). There are booths & table seating.
I ordered the Sesame Seared Tuna & opted for no mashed potatoes & double the veggies. It was a decent-sized piece of tuna & prepared as ordered (rare). I finished it all except for the seaweed salad that was on top (I did have a few bites but I did not finish it). My sweetie ordered the Filet Mignon (8 0z). He ordered it medium-rare & it came out rare. After a couple bites, & when Lindsey stopped at the table to check on things, my sweetie asked if the filet could be put back on the grill. Lindsey promptly obliged & took the filet away on the bread plate. She brought back the filet w/a new baked potato & a fresh side of veggies. The filet was properly cooked medium-rare (& very good). My sweetie asked for the sauce (a creamy demi-glaze) to be put on the side (which it was). Sauce was good but my sweetie preferred the filet all by itself. It was delicious (very tender).
Portions were good & prices reasonable (no military discount, though). A limited amount of beer on tap. My 3rd glass of water did not taste good & I mentioned this to Lindsey. She said she would get me another glass but this time from the bar (not sure where the 3rd glass came from).
Family favorite for over twenty years!
Ambiance and great food always make it special n
The food is out of this world!!!! The scenery Is beyond beautiful and so enjoyable to see at while you are eating dinner with your family! The waiters are so great!
Although I had the reservation for the wrong date, we showed up and they accommodated us with a really nice table. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the price was right. Thanks, guys.
Excellent. Always. Consistent. You start with hot hush puppies. Enjoy them and the view and a cocktail. Excellent seafood prepared your way.
