Since moving to the area we have been very disappointed in the ability to find high quality restaurants. Some have opened and did not survive. Others have seemed to be continuously changing management. The local clientele do not seem to want to support restaurants other than chain establishments and those hard-to-find gems like the Pearl don't seem to last. So, finally, we have found our "special" place and we intend to support it whenever possible.

The food is very creative and prepared well. Many herbs used and flowers as well. Definitely fresh "farm to table" dining. Welcoming feeling by staff.

This is a great place for locally sourced meals. The food is great and the atmosphere is unique.
Do not let the outside appearance fool you. This is a gormet dining spot with country appeal.

we were disappointed for two reasons. Neither were the about food and or the present of the food. We were celebrating our 37th anniversary with dearest of friends. We called prior to arriving to ask about corkage as we were bringing some pretty hefty wines for dinner and the list, while very nice for what it was, didn't offer what we were bringing.. so we asked the question. We were given a price for corkage. Very fair-priced on their lowest priced bottle. However upon presenting of the bill, we were charged for 5 bottles, a steep increase. Additionally because we are Onophiles, we brought our own stemware, appropriate for the vintages and grape. one of my Reidel Extremes was broken. I get that things happen but it was MY stem. I have asked for a replacement. Hopefully I will receive. I did share my concern with an owner about the corkage. Had we known up front about the corkage, we may have made changes in our decisions. I thought we asked the correct questions.

We have been very excited to visit Pearl in the Grove since learning of it last year. I moved to Tampa from the Northeast and was so excited to learn of this quality restaurant located in such a rural and less populated area. The 30-minute drive from where we were staying at Southern Hills was very much worth it. Service was friendly and well-paced and the food did not disappoint. The pork cheeks appetizer and pappardelle were our favorite of the four dishes we tried.

We will make the trip to return again!

This is the third time I have been there. Each time I have introduced someone new to this wonderful dining experience. Our server, Cadance was a gem as usual. We ordered two appetizers, one was eggplant fries with a spicy fruit sauce that was out of this world and the cheese plate a mango sauce which was superb. Our entrees were presented beautifully and tasted even better. My husband and I will be back.

This is a little off the beaten path - but worth the drive. Scenic drive and outstanding meal. Our waiter, Henry, was fun and knowledgeable about the menu items. His recommendations were spot on. You can bring your own wine but they have a great wine menu. I will go again. YUM!

The food is very high quality and fresh - a farm to table type of thing. The chef does wonderful and creative dishes. We were offered tastes of several wines before we chose one to buy. The server was truly excellent - a nice lady who seemed to have been with the restaurant for a while. Our favorite part of the meal was the charcuterie board that we shared to start. Local honey and locally made fruit jam were fantastic. Nice variety of bread was offered. We split the Floating Island dessert four ways and that was perfect. Will definitely return here for special occasions. A little pricey for every weekend!

We were talked out of our selection by the waiter as being too fatty, so then when I did pick out another selection it turned out to be extremely fatty. Having to pick around for meat is not my idea of a good time. As I was on a date so I did not complain, but it would take a lot of convincing to go back there again. Her steak was not tender or flavorful the waiter must have know this as he tried a number of times to upgrade her steak for $15 more to another type. We declined and paid the price or two bad meat choices. On a positive note the zucchini was fantastic. We both had water to drink.

I love Pearl in the Grove. It is tastefully exciting! Our first visit was extraordinary. The Cheese and meat tray was fabulous tingling my tongue with flavors I'd never experienced in our small town. Papperdelle(?) Pasta dish was superb. My second visit was with my 10 yr old daughter and Kurtis, the owner, was welcoming and open to child dining with us and eve treated her as if she were an adult. It made my girl feel special and what a great experience to eat quality food you would typically only find in some of New York's finest restaurants, tucked away in little San Ann. Rebecca, Kurtis, Cadence, Chef Mike and all the staff at Pearl in the Grove. Thank you! You all are amazing.

They offered tastings of two wines to see which we liked. Fortunately we liked the $35 bottle versus a $75 bottle. They offered a house-made cracker with goat cheese and something else(?) and that was quite tasty. We had an app of cured pork tenderloin with house-made pickles & okra, crackers, some house-made cheese sticks and black-eyed pea hummus. This was really nice. I ordered the pork belly after reading all the reviews and was a little disappointed. First, the portion size was a little small considering 60 percent of the pork was fat. Secondly, it would be much better if they offered an option on the sides which I didn't care much for. One was supposed to be some kind of stuffed bacon. Didn't get it. Would have preferred some kind of potato. My wife ordered the fried chicken and she loved it. It was a small chicken but she had enough to take some home. It was nicely flavored and had an excellent crispy texture. I would recommend this. The place is lovely inside and quiet. Love the table cloths. I would recommend it.

Ambiance is not much, a few tables, very uncrowded probably about 1/4 full. Small restaurant. Farm to table experience if you like that in particular was great. We had the cheese tray for app and I have to say awesome on that. We both ordered beef, Delmonico Steak and Short Ribs. Both were tough. I'm used to braised short ribs falling off the bone, these were hard to cut into with a steak knife. The Delmonico was similar, huge and I mean huge steak. Could have easily fed 2 people. Desert was cheesecake & Coffee & eclairs and coffee, with 2 glasses of the least expensive win, bill came to $120.00. Pricey. Service was excellent but restaurant only had about 6 tables with customers. I would go again, but probably order something other than the beef. They have a limited menu. It's limited to what is sourced locally. Some things were very good and some not so.

My wife and I went here for a date night after several of our friends referred us. They were absolutely right! This restaurant is in the middle of nowhere but so worth the drive! Upscale inside and the ambiance was wonderful. The food selection was great and I like knowing its from local farmers and businesses. The server was knowledgeable and made food suggestions. We will definitely be back for brunch and special occasions. We would highly recommend Pearl in the Grove

The food and service were outstanding. The decor needs a lot of help, I'm not really sure what decor they are going for. As you pull up out in front it just looks like a dump. We were seated in the purple room . Color was fine. Air conditioner was beat up . The room's paint job was bad and the pictures were Big Lots at best. The ceilings are old tile with rusty holes coming through in places. It would not cost much to make it look more presentable. It gave us a lot to talk about during dinner.
