Extremely good meal and awesome service. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone!!
Since moving to the area we have been very disappointed in the ability to find high quality restaurants. Some have opened and did not survive. Others have seemed to be continuously changing management. The local clientele do not seem to want to support restaurants other than chain establishments and those hard-to-find gems like the Pearl don't seem to last. So, finally, we have found our "special" place and we intend to support it whenever possible.
The food is very creative and prepared well. Many herbs used and flowers as well. Definitely fresh "farm to table" dining. Welcoming feeling by staff.
This is a great place for locally sourced meals. The food is great and the atmosphere is unique.
Do not let the outside appearance fool you. This is a gormet dining spot with country appeal.
we were disappointed for two reasons. Neither were the about food and or the present of the food. We were celebrating our 37th anniversary with dearest of friends. We called prior to arriving to ask about corkage as we were bringing some pretty hefty wines for dinner and the list, while very nice for what it was, didn't offer what we were bringing.. so we asked the question. We were given a price for corkage. Very fair-priced on their lowest priced bottle. However upon presenting of the bill, we were charged for 5 bottles, a steep increase. Additionally because we are Onophiles, we brought our own stemware, appropriate for the vintages and grape. one of my Reidel Extremes was broken. I get that things happen but it was MY stem. I have asked for a replacement. Hopefully I will receive. I did share my concern with an owner about the corkage. Had we known up front about the corkage, we may have made changes in our decisions. I thought we asked the correct questions.
Wonderful, absolutely wonderful and a restaurant of this quality so close to my house.
We have been very excited to visit Pearl in the Grove since learning of it last year. I moved to Tampa from the Northeast and was so excited to learn of this quality restaurant located in such a rural and less populated area. The 30-minute drive from where we were staying at Southern Hills was very much worth it. Service was friendly and well-paced and the food did not disappoint. The pork cheeks appetizer and pappardelle were our favorite of the four dishes we tried.
We will make the trip to return again!
This is the third time I have been there. Each time I have introduced someone new to this wonderful dining experience. Our server, Cadance was a gem as usual. We ordered two appetizers, one was eggplant fries with a spicy fruit sauce that was out of this world and the cheese plate a mango sauce which was superb. Our entrees were presented beautifully and tasted even better. My husband and I will be back.
Our favorite go to place for high quality food, excellent service and the scenic drive getting there.
A lovely evening...pasta with shrimp was fresh and delicious !!
My wife had the catfish and love it. We had the eggplant fries as an appetizer with a great homemade ketchup.
Paul recommend a nice white wine and provided excellent service !!
Great food pairings and wonderful service!! The wait staff was vet informed with all of the food choices and which beverage choice paired well with your dinner choices. We will surely be returning!
The servers were outstanding.
Everything was explained clearly and they went out of their way to meet our needs.
This is a little off the beaten path - but worth the drive. Scenic drive and outstanding meal. Our waiter, Henry, was fun and knowledgeable about the menu items. His recommendations were spot on. You can bring your own wine but they have a great wine menu. I will go again. YUM!
We always enjoy our visit and meal when we visit Pearl in the Grove.
My Wife and I dine world wide and your beautiful Restaurantis is at the top of our
Another fantastic meal at the Grove !!
The food is very high quality and fresh - a farm to table type of thing. The chef does wonderful and creative dishes. We were offered tastes of several wines before we chose one to buy. The server was truly excellent - a nice lady who seemed to have been with the restaurant for a while. Our favorite part of the meal was the charcuterie board that we shared to start. Local honey and locally made fruit jam were fantastic. Nice variety of bread was offered. We split the Floating Island dessert four ways and that was perfect. Will definitely return here for special occasions. A little pricey for every weekend!
Great place !! Boyce was an excellent server !!
Love the small coziness of this place. Feels like they know you personally. The food is ridiculously fresh and delicious. Can't wait to try everything on the small yet enticing menu. And the desserts. Holy cow!! Wish I had enough room to try them all!!
We were talked out of our selection by the waiter as being too fatty, so then when I did pick out another selection it turned out to be extremely fatty. Having to pick around for meat is not my idea of a good time. As I was on a date so I did not complain, but it would take a lot of convincing to go back there again. Her steak was not tender or flavorful the waiter must have know this as he tried a number of times to upgrade her steak for $15 more to another type. We declined and paid the price or two bad meat choices. On a positive note the zucchini was fantastic. We both had water to drink.
