Fantastic Chinese New Year Celebration!
WE ATTENDED THE CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION WHICH DID NOT DISAPPOINT US. THE FOOD WAS WELL PRESENTED AND VERY TASTY. AS WE EXPECTED-TOO MUCH FOOD FOR ONE NIGHT. FUN EVENING WITH THE LION DRAGON DANCE AND DRUMMING.
We come almost every week and it is always a fabulous experience. They serve consistently the best Chinese food we have ever eaten. Kathy, the owner, is always around and her team is well trained.
Great Peking duck
Great as alway waiter Eddie and Chris really do a great job
The best Chinese food...in the WORLD!
If you are looking for old school Chinese food with the old school style this is the place to go. We have been going for years and not once have we been disappointed. We have recommended this restaurant to so many people and they all love it.
Always a cut above. If you have never tried a tasting menu or Chinese New Year ...Go!!
Great for a business meeting. Will come again.
Always excellent food with top ingredients. Particularly like fillet mignonette with pepper sauce.
Friendly, welcoming ambiance. Cathy, the owner is lovely and ever-present. Food is excellent!
Best. Chinese restaurant in Long Island. Excellent FOOD, excellent service &a excellent ambiance.
Best Chinese food on Long Island
Must try the Ribs probably the best in New York.
Ask the Owner Cathy to recommend dishes you won’t be disappointed.
As usual the food was great. We went to celebrate my birthday, the one thing I did not like was we felt rushed as if they just wanted us out so they could turn the table. There was a group of 7 of us and we were trying to celebrate my birthday and have a nice dinner. They kept coming over to as if we were done. They brought the check over and didn't even ask if we wanted dessert, which we did. When we told the waiter we wanted dessert it was like he was annoyed. The whole experience ruined my birthday dinner.
I've eaten at many Chinese restaurants over the decades, but Pearl East has the best food, bar none. The quality of the food is exceptional. For example, their shrimp dumpling appetizer tastes so fresh that you'd think they just caught the fish. Main dishes are equally excellent and the service is top notch. Most highly recommended!
Excellent as always
As always, you can count on excellent food and service!
The food was absolutely wonderful. The best Chinese food on Long Island
Great. The owner is lovely and waiters are attentive. Food great
We took my mother to Pearl East on a friend’s recommendation and had a wonderful dinner! Excellent food and service. Wonderful variety of traditional dishes and modern sushi. Will be back when we visit mom again. Thanks.
My husband and I had a lovely time in this restaurant.
We came in time for lunch, after our movie.
The ambience was serene, delightfully tranquil.
We could have a nice conversation.
The waiter was polite, and answered all of our questions.
I enjoyed the steamed vegetable dumplings( dim sum), and vegetable lo mein.
My husband liked his dish of eggplant in garlic sauce.
We would definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant , and look forward to returning.
This is a great place for Chinese food. We go there at least twice/month.
The skirt steak was overcooked, the teriyaki sauce was very thin and the dinner overall was on the cold side. Disappointed this time.
The service was good the food was just a little better than average. The soup dumplings were delicious.
Pearl east is the best Chinese on Long Island, on par with the best of NY. For the most enjoyable experience have Cathy, the owner, compose your meal for you-best kept secret on Long Island!
Pretty restaurant. Good food. Wait is tooooo long, no place to wait...everyone standing by the door.. food is good...but not over the top outstanding....
The appetizer portions were small. Many entrees didn’t come with vegetables . Dinner portion was sufficient . Service was poor. Waiter had an attitude and a communication issue. Overall the food had good flavor.
We booked our reservation in ample time and were placed in the “back room”. The table was next to the bus station, the noise level was unbearable and the management was totally uninterested in helping to solve the issue. We were celebrating 2birthdYs and this was a special occasion. The food was over salted and not what we have experienced in previous dining there. This turned out to be a very disappointing dinner. I will never go there again and be placed in that back room.
