My husband and I had a lovely time in this restaurant.
We came in time for lunch, after our movie.
The ambience was serene, delightfully tranquil.
We could have a nice conversation.
The waiter was polite, and answered all of our questions.
I enjoyed the steamed vegetable dumplings( dim sum), and vegetable lo mein.
My husband liked his dish of eggplant in garlic sauce.
We would definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant , and look forward to returning.

The skirt steak was overcooked, the teriyaki sauce was very thin and the dinner overall was on the cold side. Disappointed this time.

Pearl east is the best Chinese on Long Island, on par with the best of NY. For the most enjoyable experience have Cathy, the owner, compose your meal for you-best kept secret on Long Island!

The appetizer portions were small. Many entrees didn’t come with vegetables . Dinner portion was sufficient . Service was poor. Waiter had an attitude and a communication issue. Overall the food had good flavor.

We booked our reservation in ample time and were placed in the “back room”. The table was next to the bus station, the noise level was unbearable and the management was totally uninterested in helping to solve the issue. We were celebrating 2birthdYs and this was a special occasion. The food was over salted and not what we have experienced in previous dining there. This turned out to be a very disappointing dinner. I will never go there again and be placed in that back room.

The food is consistently excellent and the owner and staff are professional and friendly!
The décor is very pretty and the presentation of the food makes you want to dig in and taste each and every dish that you have ordered!
I would recommend Pearl East to all those who enjoy excellent Chinese and Sushi in a welcoming and clean environment!

This was our first time here after friends recommended it. The shrimp with lobster sauce met my picky husband's standards. The sesame chicken was chicken breast and was sift and flavorful. We will be.back.

Excellent food w/ exception of one dish which was promptly comped. Would return for the food quality but the service here is lacking. Special occasion noted on the reservation was not acknowledged. Server did not welcome us or introduce himself nor come and check on diners in the middle of the meal and we had to hunt him down for basic things like rice. I've been to China and this type of service is consistent with what you expect there but here I do want a bit more especially for a special occasion meal.

Like I said the food while it is mostly Americanized Chinese food is fresh and creatively prepared. As long as you adjust your service expectations you will be fine eating here.

For a late Friday night the service was slow. The dim sum was excellent. The pork lo mein was good. I was disappointed in the "mish mash" as there was only one small piece of lobster and fried wonton. Overall the food was good. Will go back

Simply the best Chinese Food bar none. Every ingredient tastes fresh; the seafood tastes like it was just caught within the hour. From shrimp dumplings and chicken with Broccoli to spare ribs and shrimp in lobster sauce, you'll keep coming back to this jewel. Most highly recommended!

Will definitely return to try other dishes. The chicken satay was OK but the Grand Marnier and crispy shrimp was exellent. Wasn't offered tea, and wasn't happy about sitting next to the bar.
