Service was bad. Had a reservation at 6:15 got seated right away, then waited about 20 mins before anyone came and greeted us. Once the waiter came we ordered drinks and our meals and then we only saw the waiter once more till he came to drop off the bill. Food was good and the view was beautiful but for the prices of the restaurant service needs to be much better. Service was the biggest regret on this experience

Spectacular views and good food but the restaurant is a little tired and dirty.

The most awesome thing about this restaurant is the view from 8500 feet looking down over the coachella valley. It is unique because you must take the tram up the mountain. Food was great, friendly staff, just a little slow clearing the table, since there were six of us and the table was getting a little crowded. It was fun for a special occasion, 10 year reunion of friends and family

Great steak! Salmon, not so much. Still, worth the trip.

We had a great dinner after our aerial tram ride in Palm Springs! Fantastic views and awesome food/drinks!

The trip up the Tram was a wonderful experience.... well worth the trouble and short drive there from Palm Springs. The view at the top was beautiful of not only the valley and Palm Springs below, but also of the landscape of the Alpine setting at the top of the mountain. When seated at the restaurant we asked for a table with a view, but there are hardly any tables that don't have a spectacular panorama of the valley below. Of course after dark the lights of Palm Springs created a romantic ambiance that is hard to beat. Expecting to only pay for the view and not necessarily the food, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, as well as the wine list. We would recommend this for anyone wanting that special, unique evening for spectacular views and great food.

the view from our table was fantastic. the cut of stake was mostly fat. my chicken was dry and the vegetables were hard and tasteless. our server was great, very courteous and friendly.

Great views in a hard-to-get-to special place. Food was very overpriced for the quality, but the overall experience was fun and we were glad we made it part of our vacation plans.

It was the first time we had dinner at Peaks. We had had lunch there two previous visits. Food was a little disappointing. Wine was overpriced for the options. We kept reminding ourselves we were there for the evening view! We’ll go back to the Aerial Tram ride, but not the dinner....

I was hoping for a romantic evening diner with a vary special friend but as they say, timing is everything. We were seated next to a table with a crying baby for our entire meal. Not so romantic.
Nobody's fault, just the way it goes I guess.

Enjoyed dinner while the sun went down and the lights came on down in the valley. Very nice experience along with a great dinner. The ride down on the tram after dark topped off a great evening.

The view is all there is. The food was mediocre at best. We spent $200 for two entrees a few drinks and an appetizer. I just kept hoping something would be good. The food is a complete let down. Go for a drink and maybe you'll be happy!

This is an OK place but you really do pay a premium for the view, which is great. The food however is average considering what you pay for. This is high end pricing, without the high end experience. We left a bit disapointed.

The hostess was incredibly rude. Called to say running 15 minutes late and she told me she would give up our reservation. When we got to the restaurant there were so many open tables. Not even a smile when we sat down. Good thing the waiter was nice.

Family was in town from Texas. They are interested in different things to do. The tramway and dinner at Peaks fell into that category. Though it was pricey, the food was flavorful and was prepared and displayed quite well. I would, myself, enjoy returning but likely on a special occasion.

This restaurant is generally okay. The price, however, (after adding the tram ride) is exorbitant. Whoever manages the restaurant relies upon the cliff side location for traffic rather than “pumping up” the menu with something inventive. Our party of four was served 4 different dishes. The brick chicken was dry, the meatloaf tasty but pedestrian, the salmon was lovely, and the pork chop was cooked to a reasonable standard but not spectacular.

The wine list had some nice selections but our recommendation is to go cheap and cheerful. The mark up is about 4 times.

If you are going for walk or hike on the mountain, take a picnic and skip dining in.

Peaks Restaurant is at the top of the tram. The food was just ok for the prices and the service was lacking. We spent over $120 on 2 main salads and 2 glasses of wine and one appetizer. They do have a small amount of gluten free options on their menu but the waiter wasn't knowledgeable about gluten free choices. In fact, he wasn't knowledgeable at all concerning gluten free matters. They have a bar and cafe if you're really hungry, otherwise save your money for a restaurant in Palm Springs. Also, the decor was very outdated and some of the fabric on the dining chairs was ripped and/or fraying.

I orderd the Bruchetta Duo as an appetizer. It was very cold as if it was taken straight from the fridge. It should have been served at room temperature or warmer. I had the Pasta Primavera for a main. It was served warm but not hot. On a scale from 1 to 10 the meal was a 5

Awesome experience dining at over 8000 ft. We both ordered the rib eye which was prepared exactly right--very juicy and good lean piece for a rib eye. Service could have been better. Restaurant was not crowded yet 3 tables of 2 were placed right on top of each other. Took 15 minutes to get a beer brought to the table and we had to go to the hostess to get some bread brought to us. While you understand it is cold up there at this time of year, they need to heat the area better as it got very cold during dinner.

Of course it's the journey to the top that makes the meal at Peaks a special occasion but there are plenty of other options on the valley floor below.

The service was great but the menu wasn't as varied as other valley options. The wine list was mediocre and the view from the restaurant want as spectacular as you might hope.

Plus, after dinner there's the long wait to get on a team to go down.

My suggestion... Take the tram to the top in the daytime or just in time to see the sunset. Enjoy the view and the cooler air and then get back down as fast as you can to a restaurant with some better options.

Also, if you can swing it, take Uber past the visitor center to the top where the teams actually pickup.

Enjoy!
