About Peacock Garden Cafe
Sometime about 1870, the Peacock family looked for the perfect spot to plant their roots. They discovered it in what came to be the village of Coconut Grove. Now, nearly 130 years later, we're planting a verdant tropical garden on this very ground. The Peacock Garden Cafe is our vision of the quintessential Coconut Grove restaurant. We're perfect for a delicious meal, a quick snack or maybe just an aperitif or glass of Proseco in our beautiful garden. And why not? Our chefs craft only the best and freshest ingredients, adjacent parking is abundant and inexpensive, and our environment is lush and lovely.
The Peacock family thought so.
And you will too.

Peacock Garden Cafe Ratings and Reviews
I love this place and visit every time I am in Coconut Grove. The food is always really good & prices are very reasonable. Was a little disappointed this time as the service was spotty. We didn't have just one waiter...sometimes it was the maitre 'd, sometimes another server. It was a little choppy & had to call over a waiter we weren't sure was ours few times as we had been overlooked for a while. Maybe they were short staffed? Either way, we still love this place & will always seek it out.
I booked a reservation for 11AM on open table. I received confirmation and everything via email and the open table app. When I arrived to the restaurant, they said they were closed and their normal business hours is 11:30AM and on. The restaurant needs to update their business hours on open table. We ended up going elsewhere.
There was a Christmas party at a large table whose participants literally screamed the entire time we were at the restaurant. We were getting together with sa couple whom we hadn’t seen for a while. We literally could not hear ourselves talk. Although the dinner was delicious, we went to another QUIET restaurant for dessert. It would be wise to hold large parties inside in a private room.
The food was good but pricey and the service was okay at best. I had put in a note that we were celebrating a birthday, nothing was noted, my husbands steak was served blue and he asked for medium rare and the bill was not split correctly. We were a party of 4 and we all enjoyed the ambience, the courtyard was very pretty. Overall it was slightly less than satisfactory. I would not go back.
Had brunch at Peacock Café last Sunday. The restaurant was packed and they do not accept reservations (though I was able to make one through Open Table), nevertheless they sat us within 10 minutes of arriving. Sat outside, very nice ambiance. The foods was good, their berry and mango pineapple mimosas are excellent.
All of our dishes were very greasy and not very flavorful at that . You only things that I found good with the pancakes . Both my omelette and my wife's eggs and potatoes and vegetables were saturated and very greasy. Very overpriced for the food, specially at breakfast.
The place was beautiful. I love the drinks, and the food. I shared a picnic table apetizer with my husband and the size was perfect. Main entrees were both deicious. I had a seafood risotto and it was to die for. My husband had the short rib ravioli. Friendly staff. I was able to do priority seating using open table the same day just an hour before arriving. There was a little of a wait but we were able to sit at the bar.
Six of us met for dinner. Four arrived early. When we showed up on time, the hostess pointed us where to go.
I ordered a gin and tonic. When the server came to the table with it, he announced to the table "It's all gin" the tonic is on the side.
The four that had seafood were pleased. Both of us that ordered steak had to send them back to be properly cooked.
I just think at these prices, they should have a staff that knows how to prepare the menu or only offer items the chef knows how to prepare.
Peacock missed the mark for this diner
Great food - better service! Pedro was AWESOME! While we have been there before for brunch, we have never been for dinner - but will be back! In addition to the menu, they are participating in Miami Spice (we did not participate during this visit, but they had some great menu options!) When we weren't sure on things to order, Pedro made "spot on" recommendations for all courses, drinks, etc...definitely visit, and definitely request Pedro for your server!
Lovely dining in the heart of Coconut Grove with a history to tell and great meals served with a friendly, laid-back yet enchanting style. Enjoy the lighted garden at night or get cool in the inside diningroom or bar. Manager said: "Enjoy this like it's your home" when we sat on the lovely couches in the bar after dinner for a follow up glass of wine.
I like that attitude! Waiter was very congenial and efficient. Great enthusiastic service and knowledgeable conversation.
Bronzino was cooked in paper and tender and soft as butter. Ask to see the color book of the history of this interesting and delightful spot and enjoy the vintage photos of Cocconut Gove in the bar.
Parking in the garbage next door is affordable with easy access.
My father and I went on a Sunday evening. It was pretty chill, meaning there weren't a lot of people. The manager was very hospitable, and so were the employees. The food was delicious and exactly what I what I had hope for. You get the amazing service that you pay for.Great experience overall.
